Why is asexuality tied to cake? I've always wondered that...

The idea of using cake started either on the AVEN message boards

Discussions would occasionally center on cake and how it is better than a certain other activity. Over time, cake became the preferred greeting. offering cake then became a standard way to greet newcomers on message boards.

But cake *IS* better than that certain other activity, especially when you can get cake gratification from just making caking thus can share the cake love by letting others eat it. My mom's birthday is this weekend. I'm planning on making her tiny cakes if I get over being sick in time to do so and will take pictures.
