Karma looked at Kody with a sad look in her eyes. "My parents died when I was young, so I grew up with humans. I'm not much of a wolf, I know that, but this is my territory still." She said with a slightly harder squeeze to Kody's hand. Karma was trying to seem firm, but she knew she failed at it. She didn't want to have to fight for San Diego.

"I'm not here for territory Karma." Kody spoke softly. She could tell the girl was easy pickings but had no want for territory out here. Beside she was going to let her family continue to believe that California was an unoccupied land.

Karma sighed in relief. She was glad that she didn't have to fight for territory, she knew she would lose anyways. "That's good." She replied softly as she looked ahead. She could see the school coming into sight.

Kody smiled and then followed her line of sight. "That the school?" She asked. From here it didn't look too big but Kody figured they were about two or three blocks off, and that made a difference.

Karma nodded slightly. "Yeah, it is." A slight smile appeared on her face. " I only have one class today. If you want, I can meet you at the counselors' office and then show you around the city." She said softly with a slight blush on her cheeks.

"Umm... Sure. I mean I should probably head to my dorm before we go off around the city. But I'm up for a little tour." Kody figured why not. It might give her a chance to get to know Karma, maybe find a way to explore her wolf side. Besides she needed to scout out good changing spots. She could feel the moon coming in a few days.

Karma smiled even more. "Okay, that's cool." She was glad that she would be able to be around Kody more. Karma was curious as to what it was like to really be with other wolves, and being with Kody would be the closest she would get.

Kody glanced at the clock tower, "Ah crap... I gotta run I'm already late for my meeting... Damn Planes. But I'll see you after your class?" Kody pulled out a red pen from her back pocket and took Karma's hand. She wrote her cell phone number and signed her name on Karma's arm. "Shoot me a text or something after your class." Kody smiled and slowly let go of her arm.

Karma smiled as Kody wrote her number on her hand. "Uh, sure. I'll text you." She replied as the girl let go of her arm.

"Can't wait." Kody smiled and then started to run, at first backwards and then turned just before she crossed the street. She ran easily and swiftly and it took her no time to get to the main offices on campus.

She watched with a smile as Kody ran towards campus. She always wondered what it looked like when her kind ran. Now she knew; it was graceful, swift, and quick. Karma liked it. She stood there, loosing track of time. Finally, she looked at her wrist watch, just a few minutes before class. She continued walking towards the school and to class.

Kody ran up the stairs to the third floor and calmly knocked on her councilors door. "I'm so sorry I'm late. I had a plane delay coming out of Denver." And in no time at all the conversation changed to the whole reason for the meeting. Forty five minutes later, Kody had her dorm key and information, school email, mail box key, book list, class schedule, and ID card.

Karma sat through class, listening to her teacher give a lecture. A lecture that she didn't care to pay attention to. She couldn't get Kody out of her mind. A cute werewolf that was in San Diego. As class ended, she quickly grabbed her bag and walked out. As soon as she was in the hall, she pulled out her phone and began texting. Hey, class just let out.

Kody's phone began to buzz as she walked down the stairs after leaving the councilors office. She smiled when she read the message. Great timing... my meeting just finished too. She sent the text then added the number into her phone.
