it's not too surprising considering his character
but, i suppose they thought since he is the final boss of sorts in Re: COM then it would be more realistic for him to be male for it to be a challenge for Sora to fight

O.O Wow... Shoulda known xD That explains so much, but while it should be surprising--which it is--I also find it not so surprising. Although I'm still at a bit of a loss for words. That is something I certainly did not know. I'm kinda glad they changed it, though

Did you know that two worlds in KH3D have unintentional references to some of Haley Joel Osment's other roles in acting? In the City of the Bells, Sora visits the cast of the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Haley had previously voiced Esmeralda and Phoebus' son Zephyr in the DVD sequel. Prankster's Paradise puts him in Pleasure Island. What this has to do with Haley is that he was in the film AI as the main protagonist, the plot itself largely based on Pinocchio, down to having the Blue Fairy appear.
