When I was in third grade I had a seizure in class, my teacher spent the majority of the day hitting my back with a meter stick. My bruised back and the girl who sat behind me attested to that.
I had a teacher that stapled a kids shirt to his pants when he refused to pull his pants up and tuck his shirt in.
In highschool teachers ignored bullying to an extent that when a girl went to the principals office crying, begging for help, they told her she was being too emotional. She committed suicide that night. The next day her classmates signed a condolance letter to her parents of 'she should have done it sooner' and the school didn't punish them.
Later that same year there was a rumor that I had a hitlist, when I went to the principal for help, they called the police, demanded I get inschool therapy, pulled me out of my classes, searched my locker, confiscated all my notebooks, set me weeks behind, and when they finally realized it was a rumor they did NOTHING.
My sophomore homeroom teacher had an affair with a girl in the class below me. The girl stayed over the teachers house multiple times and then after it was confirmed that the student came on to the teacher (which irregardless leaves the teacher at fault for poor choices) she turned around in court and claimed that the teacher seduced her and threatened her.
My junior year chemistry teacher had kiddie porn on his laptop.

um...my school doesn't get too bad, really. unless you count gym class hardcore gym classes emotion_dealwithit my legs are bruised from hockey today owo whaled on another kid with my stick, getting the puck emotion_awesome
EDIT: the school my mom teaches at, though, is a different matter. it's full of bad kids, who have been arrested before. they have uniforms, go through metal detectors, seating is a PRIVILEGE (my mom has knocked kids off their desks before), kids who are acting up can get thrown into a hold, and more bad kid's school...not something you want to be in. last year, one of my mom's students kicked her aide in the head and bit my mom. she still has problems with it today (her left hand, she's a leftie and teaches ASL)

Well, lessee...
In elementary school, I was bullied and got spat on, hit (a few times with fists, once with a chair, mostly with balls and sports racquets), called horrible names... And in my last year, a bunch of first-graders attempted to beat me up... And on my first day, a girl got punched for talking to me... That same day I got screamed at by a proctor for giggling at a joke a boy next to made... And some kinds thought it would be funny to dump their french fries over my head, and a staff member was standing right there and did nothing...
In middle school, it got worse. The physical stuff let up, mostly, but then came the rumors. Someone said I was pregnant with a certain teacher's baby (because I was the only one passing his class), someone else said I was a lesbian...Ah, how to say this politely... A lesbian "undesirable woman". Someone else said I had fleas/lice, so then people didn't get near me because they didn't want to be infested... And a lot of girls did drugs, slept with strange men, drank heavily, a few got arrested... And I was sexually abused by another student.
Then came high school. Less rumors, more sexual abuse. And people suspecting I was a serial killer. Seriously, in a European History class, we were watching a documentary on Adolf Hitler... And a bunch of girls decided I would be the next Hitler... And other such nonsense that resulted in me coming home crying on more than one occasion.
I'm in college now... It's not so bad, at least most of the time. But a boy committed suicide today. On campus. In front of people. With a gun. He just...shot himself... The campus police cleaned it up pretty quick, but they missed a spot... Nothing like walking past the scene of someone's death only a few hours after the incident on my way to class... Here's an article of what happened: http://www.vvdailypress.com/news/victorville-37984-vvc-commits.html
