Shin, you have some awesome Dark Eldar models. I cant wait to see what you've got planned for the rest of the force. Wish I had the time to buy some Dark Eldar of my own.
Looks great, except the archon looks a wee bit silly with those exhausts coming from his back.

I couldn't agree more... It is butt-ugly, but it makes up for the assult and defensive grenades.

Some times WYSIWYG should go die for the sake of looking good.

Another update in the boring log, but also some pictures of the promised Incubi.
Wyches are being painted this very moment as I'm also watching AVP Requiem, I love having movies in the background when I paint.

Finished the Wyches.
I'm not quite satisfied with them but they will do, most of my army will be kabalite units after all, once I go for a Wych Cult army I will use a more fitting way of painting them, a bit more colorful.
They do "fit in" with the army though, which is the most important thing right now, and this makes me one unit closer to my 1500 pts list for a campaign this weekend.
All this rabbling and no pictures, shame on me...

imho keeping army constant in the overall tone is great, so the wyches do fit in... and I am still amazed at the dynamic poses they are able to achieve...
I am also concidering painting their hair red, I am doing so on the reavers and it looks ok, it would also be a good way to tell Kabalite and Wych cult units, though reavers and hellions are not longer part of the cults but they still work closely with them in the arenas.

Red hair would make them stand out more, which isn't a bad idea really, adding a little warmth to the cold palette you are using now.
Indeed it will, I will most likely get to it after the weekend, got myself some stuff I want to paint due to Saturday's campaign.
1 Ravager with disintegrator cannons, 10 mandrakes and hopefully 10 Hellions, a Talos and a Haemonculi, though the Mandrakes and Ravager in first hand, Ravager because I need some anti-elite-infantry shooting and the Mandrakes because I love the models.
Anyways, finished the reavers earlier today so here's a shot of them.

I can't wait to see your take on the mandrakes, those are scary models.

yep, they are gettin A+ on the badass scale for looks still they are in awkward position of having to compete for elite slots with trueborn, bloodbrides, incubi and harlequins... especially incubi do get the no-brainer award due to having all s4 power weapons - natural born MEQ killers...

I am watching this in eager interest. both to see it all fully painted, and to hear of it's effectiveness.

I just got home after having myself a bit of a productive weekend and this leaves me close to an end with this Kabal project for now.
I finished painting a Ravager with disintegrator cannons and a couple of Mandrakes, and I don't have many units left to paint now, being a Talos, 10 Hellions, my Haemonculi and Arath.
I also just realized that I have gotten a fully painted Dark Eldar army within a month, being able to play 1500 games without any real problems, and soon 1750.
