{Student Council Election} Campaign SpeechesGargantuan Gargantuan felt like he was about to be sick.
The stag, the spotlight, the ickycom. Everything about it was enough to make his knees tremble, which looked more than a little ridiculous considering his height and weight. There were so many people out in the audience, staring at him, expecting him to be a good Treasurer. Chuppi was running to help people like school more, and so was Sin. And Lizzy was nice, Lizzy deserved to be Treasurer, too. Why couldn't their be two Treasurers? and two Vice-Presidents?
Wobbling a little as he lumbered up onto the stage, shaking hands rested on the podium for a moment while his tail continued to quiver behind him. Oh, oh oh, this had been a bad idea. "Hullo," The swamp beast croaked, and promptly fell silent as his magnified voice bounced off the auditorium.
Oh, Jack, G did not feel good.
Swallowing thickly for a moment, hunching his massive shoulders, the monster continued on meekly after a moment. "H-Hullo. G... G-G would like to be T-Treasurer for you." That was a good start, that was a good start!
He had to pause and feebly look around for people he knew, desperately searching for a vote of confidence. There was none to be found, and after another swallow, G went on. "G... G wants to.... to spend monies on... on fun things, for school. G keep monies safe 'n... 'n won't eat 'em..."
There was a pause so he could take several deep breaths, and his lower lip might have trembled a little, but thankfully for the students sitting in front, there were no extraordinary waterworks. Not yet, anyway.
"G try to spend m-monies on things people want for school." He corrected himself slowly after a moment, lowering his eyes. It was a little better when he didn't have to look at everyone. "G good at talkin' and... and! G good at raisin' funds 'n stuff. Frogs sell good. Oh, but sell other things than frogs." He added in after a moment, remembering that some people hadn't wanted to take the free frogs he'd offered. That was okay! He'd find something everyone wanted!
"G promises to be good Treasurer." The beast finally said solemnly, lifting his face after a moment of hesitation. "G wants people happy so... will try best to make happy, okay?" There was a long pause, another swallow. "...G gonna go now."
Slinking off the stage as fast as he could, Gargantuan let his shoulders slump. That could have gone worse, right? And he hadn't gotten sick... But still, he wasn't exactly sure how much fun this whole running thing was anymore. If questioned about his speech, G really did not want to talk about it. Just the thought was enough to make his knees quiver again, and he looked decidedly more green than normal. People generally got the hint. Generally.

Battle of the Bands Sign-Up!Lucifer Force Kasumi braced herself. Was she really up for this kind of thing? Could she even perform on stage? Obviously she could deliver a speech, but delivering a song was something else entirely! Gingerly, she picked up the pen to sign down her name, along with the others who had banded with her (haha, banded) in this endeavor. Their name would be Barbed Doctor and the Organic Nation! Grudge Lead Vocals: Kasumi Doctor Who? Guitarist: Malodore ANIMAL Drummer: G Their specialty? Kasumi agreed with the others when their genre was decided. They were so heavy metal that 'heavy' wasn't heavy enough. No, they were... Gargantuan Metal. Gargantuan was so excited that he could hardly sleep. He was getting to play Band with 'Sumi 'n Mal! Of course, he didn't really know how to play Band, but 'Sumi said it wasn't hard! All he had to do was hit stuff! And G liked to hit stuff...

Battle of the Bands: The Old Crypt Rockout!Quote: It probably wasn't a good idea to give Gargantuan an instrument and hope for any sort of positive outcome, but that was where their band was different. In all honesty, they managed to at least look the part; G was sporting a thick, spiked dog collar around his neck, and the tips of his fins had been fitted with cardboard spines for the occasion. The beast was audibly nervous about being on stage again after Student Council speeches, but he was prevailing valiantly. Lyrics? They didn't need lyrics. Apparently all they needed to be was loud! A spine-shivering wail from Kasumi was enough to set the tune for the 'Gargantuan-metal' that would soon rock the stage, and G needed no further encouragement. Loud! He was good at loud! Lifting his heavy hands, the monster proceeded to bash every single drum and cymbal he could reach as hard and fast as he could. The resulting uproar probably scared the grog right out of the ghostly server's hands. From the bash and clash of the drums, the roars and screams that Kasumi was managing to make, and the keen of the guitar, well, it was certainly a smashing entrance all right. There was even an explosion at the end, which would undoubtedly draw a few gasps of surprise. Only then would people realize that G had managed to take a bite out of his drum, and that rather lessened the effect of the awe. ........... Who else but Kasumi packed the pipes for a song that was going to rock the entire school??? As the rather questionable melodies ricocheted off the walls and ceiling, the ghost took another deep breath and... well, more or less started to scream. Nails on a chalkboard? Got it. Souls being dragged into Hell? Check. Only when one listened closely did they actually realize that there were words in said screams. Sweet dreams are made of G Green like swamp sludge and frozen peas He travels the world and the seven seas He can't remember... ...he's lookin' for somethingReally, that was some rather impressing roaring from such a slender girl! ........... This entire thing was completely ridiculous. Malodore wasn't entirely sure how it had ended up in this competition to begin with - the only thing it really appreciated about stringed instruments was that the strings were often made of guts. But Gargantuan had been awfully persuasive, in the way only a massive swamp beast with no idea of the force of his hugs could be... Malodore's fingers were, fortunately, limber and pointed and therefore suited for plucking strings. 'Metal' was a good enough name for the sounds they would produce (Malodore could hardly trust G to do anything less chaotic), given that the examples of that genre the plague doctor had listened to seemed to be based solely on a great deal of noise and screaming. Therefore, when Kasumi launched into the first volley of screams, Malodore was ready. The plague doctor brought its claws down on the strings and raked them across the whole set, producing a series of ear-splitting chords that seemed to do auditory battle with Kasumi's 'lyrics', all pinned down (and then beaten up and stuffed into a locker) by G's drumming. Malodore belatedly wished it had thickened the bandages around its ear-holes. If noise was what 'metal' meant, then this was extraordinarily metal. The plague doctor added a few experimental shrieks of its own to the rabid menagerie of sound, wherever it felt appropriate. It really was rather exciting, with all the adrenaline and the sound lifting the three of them up and- The explosion ended with a sudden strangling of chords. Malodore blinked, and realized that it had - entirely unconsciously - leapt to its feet and smashed the guitar against the stage, apparently possessed by the Spirit of Metal. The guitar made a mournful wail as it twitched in Malodore's hands. "... Oh," was all Malodore could manage. Paula Fabghoul Well, another guitar bites the dust! I do have to say that was a rather uh smashing performance though. I hope you three are ready to perform just as rocking and hardcore in the shows to come - you guys do have a spare guitar right?
Paula's Score: 9.5 /10 Rowdy Jaxxson YO DAWGS THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST BLITZED PERFORMANCES EVER OF ALL TIME, EXCEPT I CAN'T HEAR MYSELF ANYMORE AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE OF NOTES DAWGS. DANG SPANKY! Rowdy's Score: 7/10 Slimin' Cower Dear Jack, it was like going to a circus side-show instead of a concert. I kept looking around for a monkey in a top hat collecting tips.
Slimin's Score:4/10 FINAL SCORE: Barbed Doctor and the Organic Nation! 20.5 + gnomes scoring bonus of 22.5 = 43! G was still nervous after the audition, though they'd apparently done all right! The judge-people had said some funny things though, and the swamp beast found himself more perplexed after the judging than before!

The first round of Battle of the Bands, and Gargantuan is not happy at all. Pain, mayhem, and chaos abound! All he wanted to do was play the drumset, not actually be forced to hit people with it... ;-;

The less-than-victorious trio find themselves in the hospital after getting their socks knocked off. G unhappily reflects on the less-than-fun band time--but decides that he'd be happy to do these sorts of things with Mal and Sumi again! ...Ouch?

Gargantuan becomes a rebel and learns how to effectively rob graves! Of course, he couldn't have done so without a new, very quiet friend! Though Patchy doesn't talk much, G already adores him.

Tsunake ((Gargantuan is trying for the role of Barrel!))
The logic, really, was simple. Barrel had always been the bigger, slightly awkward one of the great and mighty Oogie Boogie's trio. Gargantuan was... well, big. Now, after the band fiasco, one might think that the swamp beast was completely through with any school sponsored events.
Fortunately, most of the horrors of bashing-and-being-bashed had faded to unpleasant memories, and he hadn't hesitated to cheerfully harass his two favorite friends in order to try out with him. Malodore and Sumi would be good at playing parts, he just knew it!
Gargantuan shuffled onto stage, his ribboned bucket hat positioned precariously on his round head so he could look his best, and from the looks of it, Malodore had just tried out.
Maybe Sumi could be Shock!
"Hullo." Came the deep rumble, and the beast was suddenly extremely nervous about being on stage. Last time he'd had to give a speech, and that had been scary! "G wanna be Barrel. G be good Barrel!"
And with that, it was time for the audition! "KIDNAP DA SANDY CLAWS, CHOP 'IM INTO BITSSSS," Came the first roar, and the monster began to stomp around the stage ferociously, waving his arms as he did.
"MISTAH OOGIE BOOGIE IS SURE TO GET 'IS KIIIIICKS," He bellowed, tail beginning to wag in great, sweeping arches across the stage. This was fun! He actually felt... dare he say it, scary!
"KIDNAP DA SANDY CLAWS, SEE WHAT WE'LL SEEEEE~" Stomp, stomp, stomp.
"LOCK 'IM IN DA CAGE, ANDDEN, THROW AWAY DA KEEEEEY,"
With that, the "singing" was over. Gargantuan paused sheepishly when he realized he had nothing left to sing, and shuffled back to the center of the stage. "G don't really wanna cut up Mr. Sandy Claws, promise." He said after a moment, awkwardly bowed, and shuffled off stage as quickly as he could.
He'd liked that!

G'd yet to find a lot of people who liked the water as much as he did... but that was soon to change! Yaya wasn't like anyone he'd met before, and even though she didn't have fins or teeth or scary bits, G quickly grew attached to the female demon. Water Beasts

The second class with G's favorite Professor! Unfortunately, after a little experimenting with disguising make-up, it seems as though G's head fin has been turned red! He got off better than his partner, Daisuke did... [Class 2] Forms and Faces Iand be blue "Again -- depends on how well you did at your job." He flashed Calder another grin, settling next to him and flicking a look from Remi's work and then up to Mai's face as well. Oh yes. He looked more amused than anything else. "If you have natural shape-shifting abilities, you might even be able to combine them with these goodies. If you want to talk about it sometime, come by my office." Then he stepped away, though, sweeping a long enough look around the room to make sure that everyone had been made up, that Remi didn't have to step in for anyone else. He nodded, pleased, and pointed to the kits. "At the bottom, there should be a camera, should you want to remember this moment -- and beneath that, some cleanser and towels. You probably want to get that stuff off before it sticks." His tone was entirely too jovial. He slid back to perch on the corner of his desk and watch as they worked. Glasses low on his nose and just a hint of grey eyes poking out over the top. He was laughing at them. Because it did stick. G's fin was dyed red, and no amount of scrubbing helped. They were still snots. Did they expect it to be that easy? Professor Tailor hummed. "Better than last year, actually." ((You heard it! This stuff is STUCK! It will go away eventually, but whatever your next RP is -- you must RP your character as...disfigured. But at least you don't have homework, right? Feel free to react in thread, here, and next class will hopefully start up soon! XD))

Tsunake ((Gargantuan is stuck in his natural form. He is taking the Carol of the Bells.))
G's head hurt. G's head hurt very much. With a low, unhappy groan, the beast found himself lying in the wreckage of the train, blearily lifting his head as sounds swirled fuzzily around him. He could see... something bright from here, light, and with a grunt, the monster did his best to squeeze his way out of the slightly smashed train car. The only problem was... well, he seemed to have grown at least three times his size.
Struggling to free himself, the monster eventually just chewed his way through the already-damaged hole in the train until he could get his considerable bulk outside. He certainly looked quite a fright. Now ten feet tall and gashed and bleeding in places, breathing tiredly through extended, slightly dripping jaws.
The familiar, frightening sound of Hellma was enough to make the beast hunker instinctively for a moment, wide, webbed hands splaying on the ground and accidentally bumping into some of the aforementioned bells. Oh? Well, he liked jinglies... Gingerly, G scooped them up, his shoulders hunched for a moment while he glanced around.
Everyone seemed to be leaving. His ear fins twitched as he caught the sound of 'Oblina', and after a guilty shift in posture, the monster began to lumber off in that direction. Were his students there? Were they okay? He didn't know.
This strange, white, fluffy stuff sure was cold...
