Raiamu v.s. Pain

Raiamu was about to duck under the punch, but realised what happened after it due to previous encounters with other nin. So instead Raiamu mimiced the same punch so the two would be hit at the same time. Unless Pain did something else.

Pain's fist opened (in slow motion if you would...) into a flat palm. As his hand came closer to Raiamu's he released a shockwave of wind chakra that would escape from his hand as a incredibly strong gale. "Futon: Earth Sky Shattering Palm!" he stated mentally.

Raiamu did not have time to counter the attack and was sent spinning backwards. He hit the ground and rolled along untill he came to a halt. Raiamu pulled himself up from the ground, he had dirt over his clothes but he wiped the majority of it off. He felt some pain from the last attack, as it was close range. Raiamu's attack had failed. He'd taken damage and Pain had not. Raiamu watched Pain intently. Inspecting every aspect of his body and then Raiamu inspected his surroundings. There was a lone tree around 10 yards to the left of Raiamu and the right of Pain. As the sun was strong in this area Raiamu could use the shadow from the tree to strengthen his Kagemane. But he'd save that for later. Right now Raiamu had to focus on weakening Pain little by little.

As Raiamu took to his feet, Pain took off after him. He would try to end this as quickly as possible, without hurting him. As he ran he formed handsigns. "Water Style: Flash! Grinding Destruction!"

Pain spat a lake of water near Raiamu, from which water sharks would come out and force him up. If this succeeded, he would then jump up and strike him back into the lake, where he would be devoured by the sharks. This technique was famed by the great swordsman Kisame. Pain hoped to use this in succession.

Raiamu looked alarmed as Pain spat out the water. Pain's first part of his plan was put into place as Raiamu leaped into the air to avoid the sharks and water. Raiamu then quickly made handseals. Rat - Dog - Tiger He thought as he made them. "Katon - Zukokku!" He roared as he held a hand up to his mouth and spat out a small fireball onto the surface of the water. It then suddenly erupted into a giant firestorm causing widespread destruction to the area where Pain and his sharks were.

While Raiamu was making his counter jutsu, Pain took the oppertunity and teleported (as ninja do) behind him and went to strike him down into the body of water. The firestorm was quickly engulfed by the raging waters from his attack. (It is ALOT of water).

Raiamu was hit from behind and sent downwards. He quickly formed handseals. "Kage Bunshin no Justu!" He yelled as several shadow clones fell below him into the water. He quickly fell onto one's head and jumped from clone to clone untill he got to Pain's position a few moments earlier. He stood there, panting. For that moment there could have been his death.

Pain landed onto the water and began to run towards Raiamu, reabsorbing the water and its chakra so as not to waste it.

A chakra rod slid down his sleeve as he went at Raiamu this time.

Kai appears on a branch and watches the spar between the two. Kai notice that Pain and Raiamu are not fighting at their full potential.

Raiamu formed more handsigns as pain charged at him. Raiamu jumped back from the water and breathed in, and let out a huge spear of lightning at the water. He knew if he spat it at Pain it had enough power to kill him, but Raiamu also knew. Pain had many ways too evade it. Raiamu then watched, ehausted as the water began to become electrified and spreading to where Pain was running.

Pain lept up away from the water as he stopped absorbing it to prevent secondary shock. While in the air, he extended his chakra rod a great length to try and pierce Raiamu from above.

Raiamu had kept one clone in the water for a backup. It suddenly sprung into action as it leaped out of the water at Pain. The clone was holding a kunai ready to attack Pain with it. Raiamu meanwhile jumped back again and then began making handseals.

Pain would have less than 3 seconds to think of a defense. It'd take too long to retrack the rod to a range that he could hit the clone in, so he broke it off by his palm. No time for a jutsu, he turned towards the clone and put his hand out in protection as it was pierced and they fell to the ground, clone ontop of him, and landed with a thud, struggling.

Raiamu finished his set of handseals. "Kage Nui no justu!" Raiamu shouted and suddenly sharp needle-like shadows sprouted from the ground around Pain and the clone. The shadow needles then shot at Pain and tried to impale him, if they did. He would be caught in Raiamu's justu.

The shadows moved too quickly and Pain was impaled by the jutsu. He had no idea what he was in store for now.
