Aidan gave a frustrated sigh and jotted down:
Same difference! How is bread and wine suppose to 'represent' body and blood? They're food, and flesh is flesh. And I had always heard that the Christians are suppose to imagine that they are consuming bits of Jesus Christ; was I wrong then?
He stared at the question given to him. A Witch could feel magick around them when raising power, but that wasn't was Imiya was implying.
In a surge of anger, Aidan added:
Jesus Christ aside, can you touch your God? Do you see him?

Bread and wine represent the Last Supper. The bread is the flesh because it's the same color and similar texture even if the taste is different. The wine, or grape juice actually, represents the blood that was spilled when the Roman guards stabbed Jesus's side to make sure he was dead. As for touching God, no, but He can touch me, and I do feel Him when he touches me. I can't see him either except in the earth and sky. He is everywhere. He tossed the note with a little more force than necessary in frustration. Why couldn't Aidan see the wrong of his ways? Why couldn't he accept God as his God?

Aidan caught and read the note. Finding no room left on the front to write on, he turned it over and started on the back.
Why should a religion be full of tragedy and murder? It should be full of happiness all of the time. That's the same as the Goddess and Horned God, but They are much more than just the Earth and Moon and Sun - they are you and me. My mother and father, your cousin.

Jesus's death is a happy event. He died for our sins, to offer forgiveness for our sins, and rose again on the third day to sit on the right hand of God the Father Almighty. Because He died so selflessly for the people he loved, when He didn't deserve to die, it cleansed mankind of his sins and opened the gates to the kingdom of Heaven. We can live forever in paradise when we die because Christ died and rose for us.

Then why won't you take his advice and "forgive my "sin"? Why are you being so hateful about something I believe in? Liam doesn't believe that Jesus Christ is his savior, so why can't I be the same? I should be angry at you, I think, because you Christians perverted our Horned God into your God of Evil, the anti-God. Or why can't you overlook our differences at all? Have I tried to cause you or anyone else harm? {{ooc: LOL! Tell me about it! In my other Christian vs Wiccan, I'm playing the Christian, and I'm not being as hateful as I should be to the Wiccan just because I can't >.>; -smiles- When did you convert?}}

The bell rang before Imiya could respond. He quickly threw his books in his bag and all but ran out the door to head to second period, missing the homework assignment and praying that Aidan wasn't in this class with him, too. He sat in his usual seat, waiting for Liam. "Why can't I think of a suitable answer for him," Imiya muttered to himself. "There's no way a person of such evil, such... abomination, could actually have a point." He crossed his arms on his desk and rested his chin on the intersection. He fingered his cross, praying silently to God for guidance and enlightenment.
{{ooc: I've read that. anime_wiccan_chick is actually a friend of mine in real life as well as here. I haven't converted yet, but I plan to. I just started seriously studying about a week ago with anime_wiccan_chick helping me and explaining things to me. All I've really gotten is a huge headache from trying to get my Baptist boyfriend, whom Imiya is largely based off of, to understand and accept me for who I am and the Wiccan Rede copied into my Book of Shadows.}}

Aidan watched Imiya with his eyes, noticing an inner struggle when he saw one. The dark haired teen figured he'd have to let Imiya think it over himself if there was any hope that Aidan could open the other's eyes. He wrote down the homework assignment, and paused. He ripped the paper in half and wrote down the assignment and gave it to Liam once they were out of the class.
"This is for Imiya," he said.
Liam opened it, probably for safety measures before giving it to his friend. "It's the assignment," he said, surprise in his voice. Aidan nodded. "What were you passing during class?" Liam asked.
"He has the note, if he wants to show you," Aidan answered without giving any clues. Without another word, he spun on his heel and went down the hall to English 3.{{ ooc: I can help you, if you need, if you're having some problems. ...speaking of Imiya, how would you pronounce his name? >.>;; }}

Imiya sighed and picked his head up a little when Liam walked in. "What do you think of Aidan," he asked after Liam sat down, thumping his bag on the floor. "I don't get it. How can he worship the earth when all it really is is a bunch of trees, rocks, and dirt?" He felt a little proud of himself that the one fact of Aidan's worship had gotten through his brain. He wasn't sure why he was proud, but he was nevertheless.
{{There are a few things I need explained in greater detail. I'll PM you. I think Imiya's name is pronounced ih-me-yah. I got it off of Neopets, so I'm not one hundred percent sure. ^^;;}}

Liam's POVLiam paused in getting his books out at the question. This was an unusual topic that they were on, but he thought that whatever was discussed in the note brought this out in Imiya. He continued retrieving his required books for the subject, pondering over the first question before he spoke.
"Aidan is the kind of guy who likes anyone who likes him, I suppose," Liam tried. "He doesn't talk a lot to those who don't know him personally, and he treats everyone fairly, even when it comes to you." He thought what Aidan Winters actually meant to him as a whole. "He's...your average guy living life the way he wants to, I guess...
"And on why he would worship the Earth..." Liam trailed, not knowing really why anyone would do anything. "Maybe he sees whatever deity he worships in the Earth. Like how we see God in the details. What I do know about Wicca is that it's an Earth based religion, trying to pick up what its Pagan ancestors believed in hundreds of years ago in ancient times."
He reached into his pocket, pulling out the slip Aidan gave him to pass to Imiya. "And he wanted me to give you this."{{ooc: 8D~! Neopets~? I have them x]! -nodsnods- I'll explain things as best as I can!}}

Imiya took the slip hesitantly, reading the missed history assignment and thinking about what Liam said. He made a face at the word 'Pagan'. "I think you just gave me the reason why I don't like Wicca or Aidan. Pagans are heathens, people who refuse the word of God. They're the ones God tells us to turn away from."
{{ooc:I just figured out the answer to my Imiya's question: Why don't you believe in God? Because his God is contradictory and, like you said earlier, jealous. I grew up learning that we should embrace and accept everyone, but there are Bible verses that basically tell you to shun certain people. However, my question: How do you tell a Baptist that their God is contradictory? And yes. Neopets. I simply love it.}}

Marie Bellamy Liam's POVLiam frowned deeply. That was not the point he was trying to make. So he hastily said, "I never said that they were heathens, Imiya. Your ancient ancestory can go back to the Greek or Roman times. The majority didn't believe in the Christian God, but Zeus or Diana. A lot of history says Christianity was derived from Paganism. That their deities are just one actual God at work."
He sighed and leaned in his chair. "But whatever you think, I guess."{{ooc: -rubs neck- I wouldn't know how to come towards a Baptist person. If it's your boyfriend who you mean, then it's basically the whole "this is what I think, so if you don't like it, too bad" but if it's your parents... eh... I explained my views to an Episcopalian family, probably the loosest form of Catholics, but when my Baptist uncle heard about it, he thought my mother raised me wrong. It wasn't pretty. Parents are tricky things, and religion-changing is tricky, too, especially if you grown up believing in one thing and suddenly decide something is better.}}

"Wiccans are derived from Pagans, and Pagans were heathens, Liam. At least, that's what I was told for as long as I can remember. It's in the Bible, but I don't know if they have it in the Torah," Imiya explained, though he was perfectly aware Liam hadn't asked, and sighed as the teacher started rolecall and the lesson; this teacher was strict and didn't allow talking or note passing. They'd have to finish the discussion later during lunch.
{{ooc: It's my boyfriend, and he got me so worked up last night (the night I told him I am converting) and tonight that I'm seriously considering breaking up with him. I'm nervous to tell my dad simply because he'll feel like I'm going against everything he ever taught me, but I doubt he'd react the same as Matt. My dad is Presbyterian, which about as laid back as Episcopalian.}}

Liam's POVLiam knew this stubborn side of Imiya like the back of his hand, and whispered as quietly as he could before the actual lesson started, "You already know my thoughts and religious views, Imiya. And if you're telling me this after knowing, then it sounds almost like you're trying to convince yourself." He fished out his notebook to copy the notes that were written on the board.{{ooc: Try to note to him that he's acting shallow for disliking what you believe in. Would it make you any worse/less of a person if you began practicing Witchcraft? Why, and why does he believe that?}}

Imiya copied the notes without even looking at his paper, a talent he had developed so he could pray during class and not get in trouble for not paying attention, only now, he was thinking about Liam's observation. Was Imiya trying to convince himself? And if so, of what? That Wiccans were evil and heathens? He snorted to himself. He didn't need to convince himself of that. He knew that like he knew his name and the Bible. The thoughts ran circles in his head as he wrote, staring at the board unblinkingly. He sighed and decided to put the matter to rest for now so that he could concentrate on the Shakespearian play they were studying for the advanced drama theory class, Hamlet. The play was confusing enough when he was paying attention the entire time, he didn't need to be spacing out. When the bell finally rang, he packed up quickly. "What do you think I'm trying to convince myself of," he asked Liam, standing with his weight mainly on one foot as he waited for Liam before heading to lunch.
{{ooc: He says he's acting out of concern and worry. I asked why he was doing this when he started acting this way, and that's what he said. He also said that whether or not I change, it'll change the way he sees me. I'm going to break up with him when I feel like I'm strong enough to.}}

Liam's POVLiam put the strap over his shoulder and mentally sighed at the question as he began walking side by side with Imiya. "Look," he said, "Is Wicca the only thing you don't like about Aidan? Like how Judaism was with me?" He gave a side glance to his friend as they continued to the cafeteria.
Aidan's POV (because the poor boy hasn't had any screen time XD) His class was possibly the closest to the cafeteria, so Aidan and his English 3 classmates were the firsts to appear for lunch. A few of the lunch ladies smiled at the students and made small talk, and Aidan grinned when he was greeted. "The chicken nugget lunch, please."
"Would you like gravy over them?" the lady behind the counter asked.
Aidan had to force his smile to stay on. Gravy? "No thank you, ma'am."
The lady laughed softly. "What manners! Here you go sweetie." She handed him his tray. With a parting thanks, Aidan paid for his meal and went to the tables to eat.
He hadn't made any real friends as of yet, but he was talking to a lot of the students here and they seemed very friendly - the good ones, at least. But Aidan still hadn't been at the school long enough to feel comfortable walking up to a table and asking if he could join them. Perhaps he was shy, Aidan figured, though he never considered himself to be.{{ooc: I'd break it off if you were absolutely sure that you find yourself ready to commit yourself to Wicca, not that you aren't if you are. What I'm trying to say that there are a lot of people who go to Wicca, then fall right back out again. Because, growing up in a Christian background and having belief in the Christian God, you'd be turning against Him and basically saying that you don't think there's just the One God Almighty. There are, however, Christian Mystics~ Kind of borderline "witchcraft", but with the Christian faith.}}
