I do.

And those are the ones that always seem to lose.

The only time I lost to Lizardmen was when I was playing one with a Slaan. Mind you, I was playing a fairly anti-magic army.

Those things are crazy.

Those things are crazy.

What are you talking about? There are plenty of good players that don't use Slaan. Real Lizardmen players shouldn'y rely on the power of a Slaan to win battles.

I’m just getting into the game so I need all the help I can get. Thanks in advance.

First, get rid of the Count and stick in a Lord because a good VC player never uses Counts as Generals, or in a 2,000 pts army. Then pull out the Grave Gaurd because they're only good in bigger games. Also, throw in some Skeletons, they're the basic core of a Vampire army. I'm not sure about this, but I think only one Grave Gaurd unit can have a standard. If you're gonna use Fell bats, and Dire wolves then you need to get more. Also, axe the Banshee they're good, but one is not enough.

Shooting, Elves need shooting, and that lone Repeater Bolter Thrower isn't going to cut it. You need at least two of them to do some good damage. Also, I think bowmen are a good selection, two units of spearmen isn't that great even though they can fight in 3 ranks. You face a Chaos, Orc, Ogre, or Lizardmen army your guys will drop by the ranks. The way the rules have changed that dispel scroll isn't going to be of any use to you now.

Clearly, I'm not exactly going for a shooty High Elf army, which does bring up the question of keeping the Bolt Thrower at all. Perhaps the points would be better used for more troops.

Also, how is the dispel scroll not useful? I don't understand the reasoning behind this comment.

Mages now don't pool dice, and Mages will be made to have a lot of Power dice. Also, characters can be target even if they are within 2 inches of another unit. So mages will also be inside units to prevent being targeted. If you don't want shooting fine, High Elves without shooting will be something new.

Yes, but you only have one, and if they roll another 12+? You'll a great decrease in the number of dispel scroll so the wizard has the ability to cast spells.
