LadyKirin Hey sister, go sister, soul sister, flow sister~ Name: LadyKirin Soquili's name & cert: Luinil Reason for joining: A grouping of harpies seems very appropriate and is a great way for me get comfortable with Gaia RPing. xd IC reason for joining: Luinil has been a part of the harpies flock for a very long time and feels more comfortable around other harpies than other soq despite the fact that she does not always see eye to eye with some of the more traditional ways. The contact with new soq from very different traditions/backgrounds has opened her mind to other points of view. Desired rank and reason: Huntress. Being a rather fast harpy with great stamina, she is quite skilled at pursuing small game on her own as well as acting as a 'courser/winger' for a group hunt. She is also calm and patient which is crucial for being a good hunter. She does not seek any sort of leadership role, preferring the relative freedom of a regular huntress. Can I add in a male that doesn't mate with the harpies, but does entertain them?
Rockin' is freaking adorable, and I can see the Harpies really adoring his company, he dances and sings too.

IC reason for joining: Celaeno would see this as an opportunity of power. It is also a place of "belonging". Being among other harpies similar to her, she wouldn't feel too strange about her different attributes. She may butt heads with the other harpies, especially in regards to her looks and her EYERAEP colors, and will most likely be the one to start conflict. She's short-tempered and violent, and knows what she likes. Desired rank and reason: Commander. Celaeno is a power-hungry harpy. She wants to be feared and have control. Dragain Hehe, the Queen approves those with more toned down ambition. xD Welcome to the flock! Thanks! Luinil definitely tends towards the more 'civilized' end of the harpy spectrum in that she really doesn't care for power struggles or being the boss. Her loyalty is more to the herd/flock than to any particular Queen. She's seen 'em come and go. hehehe She's perfectly happy to let others do all the 'messy' leadership stuff while she perfects her hunting and dancing skills. xd

As this is a plot thread, I'll ask this here:
I'd mentioned in the main thread that I'd had the idea to form a tribe like system with the harpies. How would you feel about doing something like that with this flock if I were to start that? I would apply for this herd with the Mistress ... But she's not really one to serve a queen other than herself as she was a queen herself in Azeroth before going through the portal.
We could maybe work it out that the herd lands are wider than what you pictured and each "tribe" within the herd has their own hunting/mating grounds that the others respect and acknowledge and a neutral zone where they share information and foods from their parts of the herd lands?
... I know that's a lot. I just really love this flock idea, keeping the harpies together as much as possible, but still keeping the issue of cramped spaces and conflicting personalities/ideas worked out.
If I've over-stepped my boudaries, let me know.

Its just wired into every true Harpy (aka those who came down from the old territory) that males are just there to be a way to reproduce or a pet rather than equals. Even original members who do not agree with the true Harpy way of life knows that most of their sisters will never treat males as equals, and accepts it because they do enjoy being around their sisters.
Even if they might be entertained, at the end of the day, he's just another unworthy male to them and might be disposed off if he's not submissive... Unless he managed to get the protection of a female who had dubbed him as 'hers'. Find one, and sure! But like I warned at the start, the moment you join, you can't just leave. Its a commitment, and although I do not expect you to RP all the time or anything like that, I do hope for your participation during bigger events or plots that will affect the whole Flock. :3
Anyway, to clear the air, even if I say males might be used for the sake of breeding, it doesn't have to result in babies. xD So it might be mentioned ICly, but it doesn't mean you have to go get them a breeding.

Indeed. xD Actually if you stay in the Flock long enough, you might get to see the current Queen retiring and letting the current Commanders fight over that position. I'm not sure what changes will be brought about by that though... Aviania is surprisingly soft when it comes to her people, and isn't as aggressive as a true Harpy. xD

To be honest, I didn't expect everyone to play their Harpy according to their role in game, that's why I went ahead and set up this thread. xD Luna had already PMed me about setting up a Herd to the West, the Hatetalons, for her Queen and we might be going to war ICly since... Well, there is no way Aviania can ignore some hateful Harpies who might attack her sisters without warning.
However, if your Queen is amiable, Aviania will take Herd allies for sure. :3 Maybe you can set up your own Herd nearby and we can be allies? Maybe the halfway point between the two Herds can be the trading grounds?

How did he end up being captured?: He tends to take flights to places he's never been to before. He just happened to land in the wrong place at the wrong time. Night Wind put up a struggle at first and appears to be rather pissed off to have been captured. Will you be escaping later? If yes, how?: He will not for later on he'll grow attached to a harpy and even if she does not return her feelings since well she is a harpy he will stil stick around. Situated near the Queen's nest, this is one area where the Queen oversees personally - say something about escaping and you'll be tomorrow's dinner. Thus, having said that, its not really a safe zone in the sense that if a male escapes to that area, it doesn't mean that he'll be safe. This 'safe zone' is just like Daycare - a busy female may leave her current favorite toy/mating partner/slave in it and the Queen will protect him for her. When in the safe zone, males can have some 'man time' together and do not have to worry about being dragged away by a random female to do the unmentionables! But remember, the Queen is watching you...

New members (aka those who joined in only after the Flock had settled down in their new home) who had not gone through the induction RP can't join in this time, but there will always be next time!
