Anata wa watashi ga zutto mae ni "sayounara" to yutta hito wo omoidasaseru. The problem with this split decks plan is the same one I'll say time and time again.
Some people actually want to try and compete with the decks they have.
To show you, I'll bring up my most recent deck: Mist Valley.
Right now, the meta is, or will be, dominated by Blackwings, Infernities, and X-Sabers.
I actually plan on trying to compete with my Mist Valley deck, but it's not meta.
Do I post it in competitive and risk being mocked for not posting a meta deck? or do I post it in casual and risk not getting the best possible advice?
Hence my stand against the split.
You remind me of someone I said goodbye to a long time ago.

Admittingly, Yata would be awesome in Mist Valley

That doesn't make it a fun deck...just a deck that nobody plays against because it's cheap and doesn't follow a widely accepted format. Fun Deck qualify as anything in lower tier 2 and below. Also I thought this thread died...why did it get Phoenix downed?

As it stands there is no official split between fun and competitive decks, that is just someone's idea. We have a split between completed decks that want a bit of tweaking and help needed decks where they need the whole or part of the deck building for them.
As for fun and competitive decks, a fun deck is one you don't expect to win but want to try out and competitive decks are ones you want to win now. If you post an obscure deck and say it's competitive then expect some harsh criticism unless you can back up your deck idea with a breakdown of it's game winning strategy.
Lastly this topic was about people not helping others with their decks and just throwing abuse not about the barriers between different decks.

Yeah fun decks are fun. Make them as messed up as you want them but have fun with it. That's the whole point of fun decks.
Competitive decks are the decks you want to get help with to make sure it stands a chance against meta.
Personal favorites are fun decks that shock the s**t out of me when they win. Now if a Morphtronic deck can kill in one turn, that's more or less the deck I'm trying to make.

Change messed up to defeating your opponent in an unusual way such as deck out, effects like Exodia, unusual burn decks or decks that include the Ultimate Baseball Kid.

The success lies in the fact that Morphs are slow. Boarden, Celfon, Boomboxen and Radion make up exactly 8000 dmg, that's the success, the only problem is getting them all on the field. If you can't even do that, just give up.

Des_Gato-The Warrior I miss the days when people could create a deck just for fun. I use a zombie deck and I get insulted for using my Dark Dust Spirit. Just read this. Using Dark Dust Spirit in a Zombie deck is actually a decent idea, especially considering it's a field sweeper for a single tribute and Zombies have HUGE graveyard control anyway. Whoever insulted you is an idiot. Back on topic, I think that decks should all be in the same place, but people who help out with decks should try to stick to whatever theme the person who wants help has their deck set up as. That way, every deck is judged on a deck-by-deck basis rather than categorizing them as competitive and non-competitive. For example, I have a fish synchro deck. While probability that it'll beat a T1 deck is relatively low, it has still happened. So I say people should judge a deck for what it is individually rather than by its ranking in the meta.
