So because one family of Christians is like that that...all Christians are like that?

In all of my experience (in both Internet and meat-life), non-Catholics take a dim view to praying to angels. This page explains the differences in views pretty well.

And this type of reasoning is quite consistent with just about every other conservative Christian (or Christian group) I've encountered on the Internet.

I've never heard a single Christian condemn someone for praying to an angel and I live in one of the many Bible Belts.

This is a logical fallacy known as hasty generalization. You've met a minute portion, of a small selection of denominations of a world-spanning religion with billions of people involved in it. Do you really think you have any real grasp of what "Christians" as a whole would presume?

i have never actually heard of anyone pray to an angel before. i find this an interesting concept.

i always assumed that christians prayed to Jesus, as in "in Jesus name we pray, Amen."

My father was a pastor, both my parents went to Bible College, and I've been to churches over 3 different countries, and I have to say, in my experience, never heard praying to angels condemned to my recollection.

So? I've been to sermons where they preached being gay was wrong.

They're still incorrect. Personal experience trumps scripture how? Tea knows the verse, but intercession is recommended in the bible.

Pretty much my point. I've been to several different churches (here in the states and in Europe), each a different sect of Christianity and not one of them condemned the praying or even speaking to angels.

What the worship of Angels?

The subject of praying to angels or saints, yeah.

In my experience, it's not something that comes up with Protestant sects because it simply isn't a subject they have to confront on a regular basis. On the other hand, if you actually ask them about it you'll likely as not get an earful on how people who do that sort of thing are idolaters.

A Google search on the subject will bring up many sites that confirm that many Protestant sects consider praying to angels or saints to be idolatry.

So because Protestant sects don't think it's right...all Christian sects condemn it?

Edit:
I was raised Protestant, went to Protestant churches; I never heard a single pastor condemn it, hell even the Pastor has prayed to an angel before.

So please, don't give me that BS.

Gahhh... no. My point was that Ravenwolf's advice for children to tell their parents that they're "working with angels" has a good chance of backfiring horribly because a number of sects consider that type of thing to be idolatry.
