gessing its about people trash talking your deck. ?.. I get it alot. . but -^^- don`t lut people like that get to you -^^-

people say my deck sucks ect... but. I look at it like , it may suck.. but I made it and worked hard.. so if it sucks it sucks -^^-

I get comments like "Why do you have that card in your deck?" To which I reply, "well you won't expect me to play that card and that gives me the element of suprise." An exsample of this:
At a local qualifier. I was using my lightsworn deck against a Glad deck. I have a monster on the field (think it was Erin) and one set S/T card. My opponant summons a monster and attacks Erin. I activate face down card Blast with chain. His monster dies and his tagging stopped. He then sets one card and ends. I draw and set a S/T and summon Lyla to take out set card and attack then end. He then summons and goes to attack Lyla, I activate facedown MST and target Blast with Chain to destroy his Gladbeast. I went on to win the game and then match. He lost that round as he was caught off guard by my card.
I have always built what ever deck I like and put in cards that work with the deck that my opponant won't expect to see. It's even funnyer when they say the name of the facedown cards you set thinking they know all. Their faces when they see what I do have is great.

So aslong as you use decks and cards you like and enjoying playing with then just enjoy the game.

Very nice, it's alway's the best idea to build the deck yourself giving your opponents a few surprises when you play an unexpected card. Of course a lot of players won't notice this and assume you've just copied someone else.

I went to an anime convemtion a lil while back and i brought along my beast
synchro sabers. I played some casual duelists and all of us had one helluva
time. We were laughing, yelling, causing all sorts of noise. We looked like a
bunch of crazy ten yr olds! Later this tournament guy asked if i wanted to
duel and i said ok. He had a glad beast, stratos+doomplasma deck. But he
just looked so.. Bored! Like the game wasnt fun anymore. Like is was more of
a chore for him. Thats why you arent supposed to build winning deckbuilds
you find online. Youre supposed to find a deck you like playing. Othereise its
no fun at all.

True, a few of my decks, the Zombie and Gladiator Beast ones, look like copied meta decks but I've built them from my knowledge and I have fun testing out the flow and improving it.

ths whole thing started because of me... i was stressed out that day when i went and ranted about the META thing.... and jason wasnt listening to what i had to say.. or maby he was and just didnt care...

buts its whatever...
like i said... i dont hate the players.. and i really dont hate the decks...
you know what i do hate though...

Snobbish tourney players that go to local gatherings with there META copied decks and fancy "i can get these cards and you cant" attitude...

although some of them are nice and help the kids out alot...
some should have been swallowed at birth...
honestly...
theres nothing worse than a guy/girl who copied a deck that owns.. then brags about how they owned you or some little kids hero deck.... with there array of lightsworn and zombie synchro stuff...

one day one of those kids are just gonna piss me off to the point when i have to smash there head into the books a million book racks multiple times and never stopping until they drop to there knees and fall into some sort of seizure...then ill take there cards and pass them out to the local kids...

robin hood with a twisted sense of humor.. thats me XD

like that one kid who ran the zombie synchro deck when i was testing out my skilldrain deck...

he summoned tragoedia after i attacked and said his attack still went up but he lost his other abilities..... i knew he was full of shiz... but i didnt question because he's a "nig time tourney player"

pfft... whatever... >.>

well, the big shot tourney player in my town is actually an awesome guy. sure, he still mops the floor with me and my friends (i hate Lightsworn) but he always helps us better ourselves and our decks. in fact, by beating us (quite often, at that) he's helping us learn more about our decks and how to improve them. that's the kind of attitude all tourney players should have. pro, yet very considerate.

i agree with you there... i have like one of those..... thats it... the others are kids younger than me who just like to act like douches...... like i said.. swallow them all at birth..

I wish I knew how to make this any simpler.

The better your deck the better chance you have of winning. W=PDL (Winner = player*deck*luck) Agree?

Therefore ignoring luck. P=W/D (Players=winners/decks)

In other words the decks that the winners players use are most likely to be the decks with the best power. Yes there are other powerful decks but the decks that the people who win most of the time are the decks that win most of the time.

Use a weak deck and you are a lot less likely to win. They still win but not with the consistency of the current top decks.

And finally for people refusing to build a deck because the people who are winning are using it, stop being stupid. By this reasoning you'd stop playing a deck you've used for years because now everyone is using it. You'd not go to the most popular resteraunt because everyone else goes, you wouldn't watch the most popular programs because everyone else was.

Play a deck because you like it, you built it and it works.

So essentially, its better to win with someone eles's skill, then your own? thats just pathetic to be honest. Why not build your own super deck and pwnjuice with it?

No that is pathetic, what I am saying is when building a deck and making it powerful there are going to be hundreds of other copies that other players have built because the best card for the job is the best card for the job.

Just because someone has a meta deck doesn't mean they've copied it, they are likely to have just built a deck and used the best cards to make it as good as possible. People who build a deck and don't use cards just because everyone else uses them is stupid as I was trying to tell Zaku who refuses to listen.

Use a card because it's strong, the only time you should decide you're not using a card is because you have a better card. If you don't have a better option just use it whether everyone else is using it or not.

That's why I run random deck types, Sabers, Plants, E-Heros!

Hell just because I watched Gurren Lagann, I'm building a Drill Deck!

Just saying: Deck types that are strange and wild to other duelists using Lightsworns, Blackwings, etc.

Well still, with the upcoming banlist later this month, it being close to March and all, we'll see some change to the meta, and hopefully the decks that we put our heart and soul into will be given a bit more recognition.
