well bands I really couldn't get into you say? ummm well probably I would have to say is maybe the genre death metal. I don't really like the music but I respect them for making it.

I like pezcore if were talking about Less Than Jake, i love "one Las Cigarette", but too much still depresses me.
I didnt really like Reel Big Fish (dont shoot me), I was expecting them to be great when i saw them but I prefered King Prawn who were just supporting them!

Catch22, as well. The first thing I heard was their new stuff, which... got me off to a bad start as far as liking them goes. They're older stuff is okay.

Well Operation Ivy seems to be more punk than ska. I'm not saying they aren't ska, but I normally like to think they were a great punk band rather than a great ska band.

Hm. I guess thats true, they do sound more punk then ska occasionally, but I'd still consider them a ska band - most people that I know have as well... Wa, I'm conforming! >_>
