The Other Side (Shuro and sassiechicka)

[Shuro2009]

"oh?" he asked raising an eyebrow. "And what makes you think that?"
He was amused by how easily she blushed. It was something that he could have fun with. He mentally shook his head. Nah. He couldn't find it in himself to just pick on the girl. She was too...docile. He mentally nodded in agreement with the musical term. Yes she was too sweet to pick on....well at least for now.

Raylen looked at the ground, " I would like to hear you play sometime. " She couldn't believe herself. She quickly walked back to her seat and started fiddling with her hair.

Kai looked at her a moment then smiled.
"I'll be in the music building today. If you want, you can find me in one of the practice rooms. Any particular instrument?"
He smiled gently to let her know he was being sincere.
"My name's Kai by the way. What's yours?"  

[sassiechicka]

Raylen barely at a whisper, " My name is Raylen. "  

[Shuro2009]

"What a lovely name." He murmured. "it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."  

[sassiechicka]

Raylen smiled, " It's a pleasure to meet you. I might need to see your practice. "  

[Shuro2009]

"Feel free." Kai replied with a smile. "It doesn't bother me when people listen. The only time that I get nervous for that is when it's a new song. Even after all the practicing, I still can't sight read."
He chuckled slightly at himself.

Raylen giggled. She couldn't believe she was flirting, " See you at your practice. "

"I look forward to it." He said with a smile.

Raylen smiled the rest of the school day. She couldn't wait to see Kai's practice. She wondered what instrument he would play.

Kai worked his way to the music building after school. He went to his normal practice room toward the back. In it was a piano, a few stands, and a couple of chairs. He sighed happily. This was were he fit in. This was his comfort zone. Music was his life and where there was music, he was home.
He pulled out a case and set it on top of the piano. With great care he opened it and took out his violin. With a smile, he placed it under his chin, set the bow, and began playing.

Raylen calmly with a skip here there to the music room. She quietly slipped into his practice area. She sat down and waited on him to play.

He didn't even notice when she came in as he began playing "You raise me up", closing his eyes. He softly hummed along.

Raylen smiled as she listened to Kai play. He was talented and she started singing along with him playing.

Kai opened an eye and glanced over at her. He smiled slightly as he closed his eye once more and kept playing.
