Between Flame And Water [with cookie-ninjas]

"That b*****d!" She shouted seeimng through his tricks. She stood and ran from under the giant... rock.. thinggy and ran like hell. "The gem!" she said turning and getting ready to run for it but the walls started crumbling down and she had no time to reach for it. She ran till the rocks cought up and she jumped barley dodging the pile of rocks that created a new closing leaving her one way to go...

Skeet could hear the rumble of falling rocks behind him and he picked up his pace. He could also here now the water bender following him. He hadn't intended for this but at least she was safe. His parents had disappeared while investigating the mysteries of a different treasure. It was when he was 10 years old. After that he had been shipped off to his vile grandmother's house. She knew nothing about benders or magic and therefore didn't help at all when he'd accidentally light something on fire.

He snapped back to reality when he came to the entrance of the gave. "Back to the ship," he said to himself with a sigh." Back to cleaning the deck and mopping up someone else's mess."

Yuri saw a light coming from above "An opening?" she said looking up and used teh water to carry her up. As soon as she got up and froze the ice the cave caved in on it and she cought up apon a tree. Once she was up there she could see how large the cave was and there wasnt much left. there was still a little ways to go till the cave opened but guessed that was the best way to go without being crushed.

Skeet's instinct told him to run but there was something that was telling him to go back for the girl, to make sure she got out safe. He listened to his instinct though as he ran back on the path he'd come from. He wanted to get out there to alert the captain. This was news that would be disconcerting at possibly reward him with the least pleasant of all jobs on the ship, which he had yet to experience.

Yuri saw Skeet runing out of the cave "Pshh..." she said rolling her eyes. She hasnt forgoten about the reason she was there and couldnt leave without it.

Skeet was empty handed and frustrated as he ducked around the ruins that he'd created. Most of the fire he'd ignited was out but there were still a few spots that were still burning. The moisture in the plants was making it hard for them to actually burn and that was one thing he hated about tropical places. He didn't have far to go though as he was running as fast as he could.

He'd been training for endurance on the ship for a long time, being chased by a few of the crew members who wanted him to be fit for this assignment. That was Thomas (now called Tom) and Lars (the large Scandinavian that intimidated the captain to join.)

She could tell he was struggling but, being her, she didnt think how his beath would benefit her, and she helped him. She froze everything above him so it didnt fall on him last minute out of panic.

((I'm confused, he's out of the cave))

He could see the things above him were frozen now, the leaves looked ridiculous with how they were frozen and it was starting to bother him. He pushed himself a little harder now as he looked forward to see where the ship was.

She continued on her way searching for the gem...

Skeet was getting closer and he knew that she wasn't following him. This means that he would have a huge chance of leaving this opponent behind. He could almost see the shore now and he was just barely starting to get tired. He looked back, still feeling a slight rumble in the land from the churning lava beneath him. It wasn't something your average water bender would be able to feel but he wanted to get out before the volcano started going off.

Yuri felt the slight rumble and looked at the cave wich turned out to be a volcano. Her eyes widened and she flew above the trees on ice heading twards her only exit "That b*****d! He knew this was gunna happen and he wanted me to burn to death!!!" she said jumping to conclusions.

The water bender still hadn't caught up and he couldn't see her coming. He turned back after a moment and climbed up into the trees. He could see her after a moment and he waited there, wanting to know that she got to safety. He rarely did this for an enemy but his conscious had been weighing heavily on him as of recent. He had left a comrade behind on accident once and they had been killed by the enemy after being kept captive for four weeks in the most unreasonable circumstance.

As Yuri headed twards a way to get off the island, she saw the fire bender climb the trees where she was heading. She didnt say anything, just ran. It wasnt time for her big mouth to say anything. She just had to get off before she was burned to death. Suddenly the island shook and the volcano was ready to explode any given moment. She went faster twards the shore. As she turned she could see the explosion and the magma aproaching at an odd rate. She looked at the fire bender with wide worried eyes not only for her life, but for his as well. Odd... She turned and tried to stop the magma from reaching them till they could get away safley but it has seemed her ship has sailed. "I cant beleive they left me! They-.....They knew i was going to die didnt they....?" she said as her eyes filled with tears that where just ignored by anger and panic all at once.

Skeet had heard her and could sense her concern and hurt. He paused slightly and judged the pending dicision. "Come with me," Skeet said after a moment. "We could use another water bender on board my ship." It was still there, waiting for him. The captain had taken an interest in him and knew that he would be taking on a new water bender. The captain had spoken of Skeet meeting someone he would hate at first but eventually grow to admire.

She gave him a notion that she was coming while she still tried to keep the magma at bay. She froze it and ran twards shore and turned to see the ice melted and gone already. It was like she hardly did anything. She turned and waited for him to lead the way to the ship.
