Gathering---May

[Akiko-infinity]

Firesong walked into the clearing and took her usual spot on the small rise. She hoped the other clans would show, but couldn't help but share a bit of Dawnlights' annoyance. The gathering was a time for the clans to come together in peace. Surely, the other clans wouldn't miss a second gathering?


Thrushpaw stood beside his mentor, taking in all the words of his elders. He sincerely hoped the other clans would come. He wanted to meet them, finally.

((Seeing as how it has been so long, a deputy, medicine cat or medicine cat apprentice should come instead to represent the Clan, just list the most active cats so that they come over, as I know you are a medicine cat apprentice, I am entrusting you to lead the Clan over here. wink ))

Dawnlight spat and flattened his ears, sitting down with an annoyed look in his face. He did remain quiet however, as Kindlestar looked as annoyed as he felt, and if that was the case, then maybe she understood his anger.

Sagefire, the current medicine cat for Snowclan, walked up to the rest of the leaders. She knew this will be her last Gathering, so she wanted to make the best of it. "Hello." She said, her voice steady and calm. Crystalstar hasn't been talking much, so she wanted to fill in for her.  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Kindlestar turned as a voice sounded soflty next to her and she saw SnowClan entering, guided by Sagefire, the Clan's medicine cat.

Her eyes grew round in surprise, and her black masked face did no effort to hide this fact.

"Sagefire?" she started, but decided to remain quiet. SnowClan and FireClan where not in the best of terms since before she had been born, and no matter how much she had tried to appease things, it seemed like the rivalry would never end.

"What? SnowClan's leader could not grace us with her presence?" Dawnlight yowled, anger clear in his voice.

Sagefire managed to stay calm, ignoring Dawnlight. "Yes, I came in place of Crystalstar today." She told the leaders.  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Dawnlight opened his mouth to retort, but was interrupted by Kindlestar.

"That's enough out of you," she snarled in a voice unlike hers. "The Gathering is a place of peace, not for you to look for battles."

This said, the FireClan leader turned to look at Sagefire and nodded. "I am glad to see SnowClan here, Crystalstar or not," she mewed, glad to see another Clan show up, easing her uncomfortableness some.

"I have to say the same." Sagefire said as she sat down, her tail curling around her paws. She waited for one of the leaders to say that the Gathering had began.
Frostpaw padded over to where the rest of the medicine cats were, only to realize it was just her.

Frostpaw kept looking around, until finally realizing Firesong was there. She bounded over to her.

Firesong looked, spotting the snowclan medicine cat apprentice. "Hello Frostpaw. How's the prey running in Snowclan?"  

[Nights of Nyx]

Frostpaw sat down, "Very well, and I hope that goes for Fireclan as well?" She responded

Firesong nodded. "Yes, it does. Any idea why the other clans have been strangely absent? One clan missing a gathering is one thing, but four of them?"  

[Nights of Nyx]

Frostpaw looked down at her paws, "I don't know anything, Starclan has been quiet for the last few moons." She responded, she looked up at her mentor, knowing that she'll be getting her full medicine cat name tonight after the gathering. It'll be a long walk for her mentor, and already her kits are going to be apprentices,

Kindlestar overheard the mention of StarClan, and she could only sigh. StarClan really has been quiet since the message. Have they grown angry at the continual ignoring of the Gathering?

Looking up at the sky, the leader could see the moon bright and high in the sky. If StarClan really was angry, then why did the moon shine still? She was very confused, and preferred not to dwell on matters she probably wouldn't be able to understand. After all, usually only the medicine cats could decipher StarClan's thoughts anyways.

Sagefire looked at the Fireclan leader, she knew what was troubling her. But she didn't say anything about it. "Should we start?" She asked
