It's almost done, I swear.
I know. I fail for being so slow on it...
But I should have it up by tomorrow at the latest. Only a few more paragraphs...

Finally! TTwTT It's done! (Heh, fixed... At least I realized quickly... )

~*Chapter 2 - Akuma *~

In front of them stood a large, dark figure. It looked slightly humanoid, but had the aura of a monster, of a demon. Being several feet taller than them, it had to look down towards them, crimson eyes piercing through the pair. Long, sharp claws were on the hands and feet of the creature. The skin of the creature was a navy blue and it had a reptilian tail. Overall, a frightening monster to those not used to these types of things.

And it was obvious who was used to it and who was not, Nezumi quivering slightly while Risu was perfectly calm. Nezumi wasn’t exactly one that was easily scared, but wouldn’t most people be scared in a situation where you have no clue what’s going on?

“Stay back, Nezumi.” Risu warned. “It would be tragic if this beast where to harm you.”

Another blinding, blue light appeared and faded. After it subsided, there was quite a noticeable difference with Risu. Instead of his attire from just a moment ago he now wore a green outfit with a brown swirl-like design. He had a dark gray scarf around his neck. In his had he held a long staff with blades on both ends.

Risu charged forward toward the monster, weapon ready. He took a swing at the monster and left a long gash in its’ side. It spun around, clawing at Risu. Not being able to dodge quickly enough he got a deep cut in his left arm. Leaving his arm limp at his side, he stabbed at it this time, barely missing the demon. It then reached out to claw him once more, but ended up with a blade stabbed into its’ hand instead. Ripping the staff out of the beast’s hand Risu got a slight shower of blood raining down on him. He drove the other end of the staff into the leg of the monster, leaving a deep wound.

As the battle continued, Nezumi stood where Risu had left her. She was in shock and could only stare as everything progressed. Here she was, watching someone she had met just a few minutes ago fight some giant, blue beast. Not exactly something that normally happens to most people. She felt scared, confused, and probably about a million other emotions.

The demon’s talons scraped Risu’s back. He released a scream of pain and fell to his knees. Glaring up at it, Risu stabbed the demon in its’ foot. Jumping up as quickly as he could Risu then backed out of its’ reach. Running over to a near-by stone, he jumped on it and sliced at the demon’s neck. The wound caused it to let out a howl and dropped to the ground.

Nezumi fell onto her knees out of shock. He actually beat that… Thing. He killed it. She felt a light touch on her shoulder and look upwards to see Risu in front of her. He was holding out his hand, offering to help her back up. Nezumi just stared back, confused. She noticed the blood dripping down his left arm.

Risu followed he gaze to the gash on his arm. “Don’t worry.” He said soothingly. “It will heal quickly enough.” Kneeling down next to her he continued, “Now, let’s get out of here before more of those beasts get back. They would be rather angry about their friend here being killed.”
Nezumi could only stammer out, “B-but… What was…? And how did…? And-and-and… What is going on here?!”

“As I have told you before, Nezumi, that is not important right now. It will be explained later. However, here is not the time to explain, nor the place.” Risu helped her to her feet again. Leading her quickly back towards the way they had come.

Upon arriving back at the tree that Nezumi had been previously resting at Risu had her sit down in front of the tree. “Now,” he started. “What, exactly, is it that you would like to know?”

A million different things that she wanted to ask him rushed to her head. What were all the lights about? How exactly had he found out about her? How was all of this happening? She started with what seemed like one of the simplest questions that she could think of. “What was that moster?”

Sitting down in front of her, figuring that she would be asking quite a few questions, Risu replied, “That was an oni. You might have heard of them in old stories. As you have just seen, they are not things of fiction. They are all too real. And quite vicious.”

Searching through the ocean of questions, Nezumi chose another that seemed like something important to know. “How did you beat that thing? How did you magically summon that staff thing?”

Risu looked her in the eyes. “I’m sorry, but that will have to be explained later. It will be explained, however.”

“Fine… “ Grumbled Nezumi. “Then…” She looked around the field, trying to decide on what to ask next. After a second, her eyes once again glanced at Risu’s arm. Except there was something different this time. There was no bleeding. No wound at all, for that matter. It had completely healed in the short few minutes that had taken place between the time the monster had scratched him to the time that she noticed this. “How on Earth did you heal so quickly?! No one can heal a wound that bad in a few minutes! In fact, you should have been going to the hospital, not sitting here talking! Just what are you?”

Risu sighed. “I was afraid that you would notice that…” Looking away from Nezumi he said, “I suppose I’ll have to tell you, then.”

Very much awesome miss Geek! Snow loves a good fight scene, as well as cliff hangers.
And you've given me inspiration for my story. >=3
Also, I've just looked at your new Risu picture. He looks freaking cool I must say. :3

The only thing that bothered me was in your sentence,
“As I have told you before, Nezumi, that is not important right now. It will be explained later. However, here is not the time to explain, nor the place.”
Should it not have been, "Now is not the time, nor the place."
Sorry. Snow's a jerkish nitpicker. xD

edit- Fanart for Geek! Uh huh.~ I like the oni dude...

Yesh. ninja I just had to make Risu look all awesome and VK like. XD
Yeah, I know it sounded off... But Geek was too lazy to figure out how to make it sound right. =w= Just wanted to get it done. (Curses on the idea that Risu had to talk all fancy... It complicates things... But it's sorta fun... XP)

Geek will start on the next chapter now. It will probably still be a while until it's up, but it's a start, right? I lthink that I'll work on a story for the short stories thread first, though...
