Oh yeah, with the Overseer thing, the most expensive things I've gotten are two Pink Magical Giftboxes and Fairy Wings. One of the boxes gave me a Nitemare Bustier thingy and it's about 600k in the Marketplace now O.O
I think if you take really good care of your fish and try to feed them at least once a day, the overall happiness percentage will get better quite quickly.
Other than that, selling items in the Marketplace is a good way to earn gold too, but you have to actually have items worth something to gain a good amount of gold :3

This is hands down the best way to earn gold on gaia. Follow THESE steps
1. Beat zomg until Shallow Seas is available to you. 2. Buy 1.0 cl zomg rings (they will be unsoulbound) at cheap prices such as 10,000. 3. Collect orbs in shallow seas. Power up the 1.0 ring to 10.0. Sell it for a high price such as 100,000 or so.
That is what works personally for me
Also a side note: If you save up your unsoulbound rings now, it may be wise. I theorize that the prices are going to get higher in the future if you're patient.
by the way im new to this guild nice to meet you all =]

1. Never ever buy boxes - there is no guarantee what they contain (unless it is event boxes, those you can check in tektek)
2. Be careful with buying box items (again, except the event ones) - they have a tendency to drop in price, esp. the cheap and common ones.
3. If you are low on gold, buy event items or cheap collectibles. Sooner or later they will rise in price, since there's only a certain amount of them and they can't be bought in any store.
4. The gold amount given for posting in forums have been raised lately, at the same time they lowered the gold given from overseers. This is actually a good thing, since gaia originally was a forum community and not a virtual game hall.
5. DON'T SELL THE ITEMS FOR LESS THAN USUAL MARKET PRICE!!! I can't stress this enough. The sellers won't get any profit ever if the prices only goes down, 'kay?
