Dameon_Patron_of_Healing I'm going to enjoy new years. I am with a friend and his family, and we've just been networking and playing Starcraft. So I will enjoy it indeed, even if I'm the only sober one there blaugh sober sounds like u'll be the designated driver on starcraft hehe.

As of right now, my boyfriend and I have no plans. My boyfriend isn't really the romancy type, though I know he loves me beyond himself. So, the day doesn't all that matter as long as I have him with me.

I can honestly say I hate Valentines day with a passion. For most of my life, valentines day has been the worst day of every year for me. Even after I got married, it was still pretty crappy. My first married v-day my husband was in iraq. The second he was in the states but he had to work so I spent it alone on the couch (he works 14-16hr shifts cry ). He gets home, eats, and crashes. Hopefully something good happens on this v-day. If hubby has to work again, I think I'll just find a babysitter for my little one for a couple hours and go get a massage.

i never really been the type to be bitter over not having someone during valentines day. It was never really all that important to me. Since I'm not big on chocolate or flowers. And I feel if I am with someone worthy of celebrating the day with, then I'd only wanna just spend time together. Which is what we should be doing on a normal basis anyway, not just on that special day.
Though it is nice the idea that everyone is celebrating the happiness they have in their life for the person they love on the same night.
This year will probably not be good for me, since I am going through a breakup right now. I am mainly in a moment where I feel like I just don't see myself finding anyone who I can really love and be happy with. And if I do, I have a feeling it won't be for a long while. And that makes me pretty sad. sad

I plan to treat it like another day. I believe that I can just as easily tell someone that I love them on any other day without going crazy on the commercialism of one day in a year. It is weird thinking about having a partner who does buy into valentines day (it meant something to my ex, so not celebrating it made me feel bad).

I mean getting gifts is nice, but just spending time with the person you most care about is better. Valentine's Day isn't even a couples thing...I always took it for a single person to finally tell that special someone that they like/love them or whatever.
Honestly, I just want to go out for a nice lunch without hearing little kids screaming in my ear or with family. It'd be nice to just get away and have some peace and quiet.

lunaci I plan to treat it like another day. I believe that I can just as easily tell someone that I love them on any other day without going crazy on the commercialism of one day in a year. It is weird thinking about having a partner who does buy into valentines day (it meant something to my ex, so not celebrating it made me feel bad). I don't completely understand when people say that. I am sure it has become a commercialism holiday, but for the most part it's a wonderful day. I LOVE that people all around the world on the same night are expressing their love for each other. Can you imagine how many people are going to be making love at the same time?? I don't know if I'm just a dork or what, but that is such a sweet thing to me. Valentines day I think should just be to celebrate love in the first place. We have so many days where people are just negative and hateful. Why not have a day to say hey love is important, and you know what? I love you!!

V-day I will be at work, not making love to anyone. Not like I have anyone to make love to in the first place.
