Oh, that's very simple to explain.
The internet is the primary means of yaoi exchange, be it discussion, material or whatever, and as we all know:
THERE ARE NO GIRLS ON THE INTERNET. ^^

Depends on the guys in real life but I'll stick with my yaoi for now xd My parents are complete homophobes and its not funny. I only hide the fact I like technicially "gay porn" cause people just can't take it and point taken most of my friends are like this. Though avid harry Potter fans they accept my harry and draco pairing cool

Skizzors Outdated social perception of the female as a non-sexual entity. A lot of people, subconsciously or openly, believe that women are all about emotions and love and fluff and couldn't possibly ever have any sort of sexual fixation. We're just thinking about daisies and laundry. THAT IS SO FREAKING TRUE!! Heh, "daisies and laundry".

I'd rather see two guys kiss in anime than in real life... that's just me though. Second part of the conversation, I guess the girls hide it better... I don't know. Maybe some guys are less shy about it. -shrugs-

Well for the first part of the topic one of my happiest days at collage was watching three of my male friends making out on a sofa. Afterwards one left and called his boy friend for a booty call..... >.>;;;
The second Topic. First we must understand that most people do not believe that girls enjoy porn to begin with, and if people cannot comprehend women watching straight porn they are never going to see them watching gay porn. This of course is wrong. Psychological studies have proven that, and one must remember that almost all of the romance novels in the supermarket are in fact soft core porn.
As far as my mom is concerned she doesn’t understand the attraction to yaoi, and views it as wanting what you can't get. (aka a wasted effort) She doesn’t care that I read boys love, but she dose tease me about them being trashy romance novels. My dad teases that I like it because he let me around too many of his theater friends when I was little. xd :

I don't like two real life guys kissing, I prefer yaoi/shounen-ai for the fact that it's not real. To tell the truth, I really just don't like any real life kissing. The second psrt, Guys are perverts and like to see girls going at each other.

I know alot of girls that think yaoi is disturbing, but personally, I think they just don't want to admit it's hot. My mom finds it disturbing. But it was really funny one day: we were watching Anime ONDEMAND and she wanted to check out what Gravitation was. (She was unaware and I had to hold back laughing). The very first gay moment, i think was the elevator kissing scene, she shut it off. In fact, that little touchy moment in Death Note made her cringe (L and light drying off).

Skizzors Guys kissin' is hot, man. And I don't even like guys. Outdated social perception of the female as a non-sexual entity. A lot of people, subconsciously or openly, believe that women are all about emotions and love and fluff and couldn't possibly ever have any sort of sexual fixation. We're just thinking about daisies and laundry. It's true! Cry. gonk I don't really think two guys kissing is that hot anymore... well.. I think its cute if it's really well thought out, but if it's kind of random, it feels more awkward especially if you can tell the actors feel awkward about it. I think two girls kissing is hotter though (and I am a girl, not gay, not really bi, but pretty close gonk lol )

If you're thirty or younger, we are a different generation than our parents. Before the hippies, "pretty boys" didn't exist in such numbers as they do now. Back then, men were seen as big sweaty lugs. Unless, you thought that is hot, then the idea of men kissing wasn't appealing. Also, it is easier to drill into people's heads that male/male relationships are more "wicked" and "sinful" than felmale/female relationships, because back then, the ideal was that women were not sexual beings. Unless, your folks were hippies and exhibitionists, there's not going to be much arguing that. Even my mom, who is a true feminist (not a femi-nazi, but an equalist-type feminist), has trouble with females being considered equally sexual as or more than males, in general.

2 Boys = LUV!!
I can get the whole 'guys liking girl on girl' thing, and I think it's pretty cool, I just like yaoi more. :3 My parent's don't really 'know', per-say, but I've hinted at it. I think my dad's picked up on it, tho. xD My mom is really OK with homosexual stuff and all, my dad is kinda inbetween. He takes on the whole 'hate the sin, not the sinner' thing. So I'm not really sure if he's against it or not... he probably would be but would be nice enough not to say anything incredibly rude about it. LOL

I think that those that refuse to acknowledge that girls are just as guilty as guys in this respect are simply in denial that girls are just as perverted, if not even more so, than guys are. I mean, honestly, how many guys actually take the time to write and share all of their yummy little ficlets with the world? I've met tons more girls that are willing to share their stories. I'm even writing a few stories, myself.
