Though to go back for a second, lamb is great. Better than beef, pork or venison. Yes, better than venison.

And in the case of the Tikka Masala...well, it wouldn't exist if it weren't for British tastes, so it counts...kind of. wink

It's a British dish, actually; invented in Newcastle, if I remember correctly.

:nods:

I think so, many of the most popular curries are UK in origin. Notably that bastion of those too drunk to know better, the vindaloo.

Yeah, WhiteHik, you should add a poll for the most popular nominations and we can discover the most popular British cuisine ^_~.

Good lord, a memory from primary school. Liver and onions, better known a leather and ragworms.

*shudder*

You had to be made of stern stuff for that one.

lamb is as good as venison in my opinion
but here in Bedfordshire, I know where one can get organically-raised boar...(just call me Obelix)

now toad in the hole...sausages or left over meat??
proper un pasturised stilton
strong west country cheddar
Branston(since the fire at the factory, it`s so rare!)
I will not eat Hare however.....for religious reasons.
