Ugh, Family Guy is so ridiculously overrated.

You know what stops being funny after you use it 532790563479065389054 times in a single episode? "Went on so long it stopped being funny... and then went round to the beginning and started being funny again."

I think the point that it stops getting funny again is the same point where you start questioning if they're really just doing it to pad out otherwise humouristically sparse episodes.

QFT. Family Guy is stalest, most repetitive show I've seen in years. Furthermore, everyone thinks that it's funny just because it makes them feel good when they can recognise 80s pop culture references. Family Guy is the nadir of American television (other than 'Fox News'..)

BSG is one of the best series of all time, with that I must concur.

Firefly is also superb (and its cancellation was a crime against humanity).

Actually, all of Wheedonia was good (Buffy and Angel), with the possible exception of the last two series of Buffy.

Veronica Mars, definitely good TV.

Friends was good at the time and has stood the test of repeats, so I'll vote for Friends as well.

I got season two of Futurama yesterday and stayed up until 6 this morning watching it.

I half-wanted to buy Ugly Betty while I was in the shop (by the way, 'Zavvi', just why...).

Oh oh oh I love Firefly! Serenity was good too but not as good as the series.

It couldn't be more different than the original in tone and presentation. Anyone who thinks Sci-Fi is just Kirk screwing all the beautiful aliens should watch the new BSG.

Firefly was fun. I got into it after I saw Serenity. I had heard about it but never saw it: the first time I saw an episode was when I watched the boxed set. The characters were stereotypes but you could not help but cheer them on. Especially Jayne.

I wish I had the spare cash to buy box sets of my favourite TV. I used to get slightly resentful of people who came into Virgin and bought really expensive box sets of crap programmes.
