i just hate labels! scream y can't every1 be exactly the way they want to? and about the "true fan" bs, anyone who is touched by their music and who loves a band's message is a true fan. i don't think it should be decided based on the amout of time someone listens to a band or the way u dress. if u love a band, ur a true fan! xd

I agree, I'm fed up with this labeling crap. But of course i'm just as bad because I say that I hate preps and all that junk. Here's a story from me:
I'm a cheerleader. On Fridays, our squad is supposed to wear our uniforms to show our team spirit. Normally I don't but one day I figured "What the heck." and I wore it to school. You wouldn't believe all the looks I got! Have the people that stared at me barely knew me! And then one of my friends got all retarded on me, he was sayin' "You're a hypocrite, you are a cheerleader but you said you hate them" and all that crap. And I never said that so I argued with him, what I DID say was that I didn't like preppy people because they act like everything's perfect even if it's not. So I cussed him out and told him to shut up.

Normall I wear black t-shirts and jeans, but every once in a while, I feel like dressing up; I'll even occaisionally wear pink. But whenever I do dress up, some of my friends are like, "OMG, Meghan's not wearing the Black Parade crap! It's the apocalypse!" and on the outside, I find it funny, but on the inside, I'm like, "******** you, I'll wear whatever I want to wear."
That's not all of my friends, though. Just some of them.

I get that. Baiscally, I'm not a fan of tight clothing. It rubs me the wrong way. So wherever I go I always where camo pants or something along that vein. Comfortable suff.
And every time I walk past an 'emo' (i dislike using the term...but what else is there in this case?) wearing their MCR shirt and their tight little jeans (I recently aquired a pair (yes, aquired, they were given to me) and they are suprisingly comfortable... but back to the story) they glare at me. Even if I'm wearing my MCR shirt too. I mean c'mon! I'm not that different from them anyway. My hair is black and pink my eyes have the problem of never looking too cheerful (I despise this btw. Stupid unfriendly eyes!) and yet they glare at me like I'm some sort of, dare I say it, poser.

okay so I'm apparently "scene" because I'm as dumb as a doorknob and blonder than Brittany Spears , yet i can be as emo as anything, so i went into a hot topic and I'm wearing a pink tank top with chains hanging around the collar(it's so cuute) and tight jeans, so this emo guy comes up to me while I was looking at My Chemical Romance shirts trying to decide which one i liked better(i decided on one that said "Come see the one, the only, My Chemical Romance, appearing in, The Black Parade, You'll laugh, You'll cry, You'll die"), so he says "...poser..." "excuse me?" "poser...trying to fit in with all your other little prep friends...Put down the My Chemical Romance shirt and leave..." "I'm sorry but, ******** off, i'm not a poser, I've loved My Chemical Romance ever since Bullets, if you can call me a poser, then i can call you a kitty cat..." Yes I know WEIRD, but remember I'M STUPID.

Trying to sound like Hiro Sohma from Fruits Basket, I hate labels, and I just love this kids attitude. I feel like him right now..

-Teh Chemical- Ok, so the other day I was out shopping. And it just happened to be one of those days I choose not to wear a band Tee, or band hoodie. I wore a different top instead. It happened to be a top of a rugby team. Ulster. And I didn't wear it because I'm a chav (person who wears football shirts, wears 'bling bling' and listens to rap and talks like 'YO, I AM BOVERED?') I wore it simply because I liked the top. It was cool. So yeah, I went out in this top, black jeans and my converses. I went into a music store and I was listening to Aiden's new album, Conviction, on the music sampler....thing. Then I started listening to Headfirst For Halos by My Chem. And this group of 'emos' approached me, and said...
(Them) "Look at you, you're a chav listening to My Chem! You're not a true fan!" (Me) "Uh....what makes you say that?" (Them) "You're wearing that top!" (Me) "Ok...so you're saying that because I'm not wearing black, or a band Tee I'm a chav, and not a true fan?"
Then they just walked off laughing. I mean, what the hell? I don't like to follow trends. Like this 'emo' trend. I HAVE my own style. I wear what I want. It doesn't mean I'm a chav, or I'm not a true fan of My Chem. I wear My Chem shirts nearly ALL the time. I'm rarely seen without any MCR merch. So...??? What the HELL is wrong with people? D:
This is a typical rant. Post your opinions and/or simliar stories. Hmm... I would normally be good at things like this. But this is like a whole other topic. Hmm... In my school, they don't care what you listen to. In my school, if you wear black ONCE, you are emo. and i honestly almost go into a fist fight because it since the girl who called me emo, provoked me to almost hurting her, but since i'm normally pretty kind-hearted, i didn't even say anything. When people just call me emo because of what i listen to, i really don't care, but i really hate it when people don't take the chance to get to know me because normally i'm a nice person and quiet funny. Basically, my whole rant there was about getting to know a person before you call them something. And BTW, -Teh Chemical-, I LOVE YR SIGGY! A7X FOR THE WIN!

I hate it when people do that. Just because your not wearing black doesn't mean your not alowed to like MCR. It's not like you have to try hard to LOOK like a MCR fan, fashion is unimportant to me.

carrieXchaos Candy Luck x_Rainbow_Vampire_x If they did that to me I would've smacked them in the ******** face and said "YOU ******** TWATS WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO SAY THAT!" Then battered them till I got arrested. 3nodding eek Violent much? mcr says violence is never the answer. cool YES!!!! Has anyone seen the Teenagers music video??? Though I have a good story.... One day I was shopping at the mall by myself, and just to see what reaction I'd get, I walked into an Aeropostle, Arecobie and Finch and a Holister. All reactions were about the same, big huge evil eyes saying "What the hell are you doing here!!????" I went full out that day, i was wearing the intire Black Parade beton twirler outfit I had scavanged together. I got really depressed from all the evil eyes, then I walked into Hot Topics and one worker there said "Hello, can I help you?" I nearly had a break down because of how friendly she was!! I don't care who you are, as long as you are accepting, I'll be accepting to you!! Be you, pink, purple, emo, black, prepy... I don't care, I'll atleast wave and say HI!!! I just wish people wouldn't judge, usualy I just wear some jeans and black shirt or something...
