Let the Memories of the Evening be... the first think that you think of------------------------------------------------}:- Tanaka Michi Physical Therapist
Fingertips...walking up your spine...a tongue sliding right behind..
Once his head hit the pillow, he was out like a lightbulb. But he slept a little longer than 5 hours. More like 6.5. And it couldn't be helped because he was dead tired.
When he woke, Michi slipped into the shower and made it quick because he knew that there was a lot of conservation going on right now. It was less than 3 minutes of a fierce workout with the soap and the shampoo. The idea of being clean after days of...salt, car, sea scum, hospital smells. It was enough to make the man puke. He swore to himself the next time he took a vacation he'd go nowhere near an island.
Then, he wondered, as he threw on...the same clothes because he had nothing to change into. This didn't make him feel much better considering these were the clothes Akihiko gave him days ago to wear. However, they were better than nothing.
Soon he was rushing out the hotel and across the street to the hospital again. He slowed down as he walked in feeling the ugly weight of the situation reigniting his stress. He could hear sobbing and noticed many people looking through Polaroid photos of bodies that were waiting to be...claimed. He didn't want to look to long at that dismal scene and he tried to get upstairs quickly into Akihiko's room so he'd be right there when the man woke.
By the time he sat down, his shoulders ached. Was it the weight of what he saw, or did he pull something?

Seven hours.
It had been seven hours since Akihiko was wheeled into surgery. The surgery itself had actually only taken four hours, as opposed to the five, and now the musician was blissfully unconscious in ICU.
The nurse would, of course, take him back to his room once he woke, but due to the procedure itself, he had to wake alone and be closely monitored.
He had already been in the ICU for three hours when he just started to show signs of waking up.
At first, Akihiko was a little unclear as to where he was, but thankfully a nurse who spoke minimal Japanese, was able to explain that his surgery was a success and that they would move him back to his room now.
Of course before he even got there... he was asleep again.
Thus, when Michi entered his room at the hospital, Narcissus was still unconscious. However, all other medical apparatuses were gone save the IV in his arm and a small pad on his chest to keep track of his heartbeat.
He continued to sleep for another hour, with Michi sitting vigilant at his side. During that hour, Aki arrived, having gotten some sleep and met with Yuuji.
There had still been no signs of Shou or Izzy, and right now Yuuji was out checking in with all the aid workers to make sure that the newly arrived planes full of aid from Ohayou, planes that had arrived during Akihiko's surgery, were being distributed without hassle.
No rest for the ninja it seemed.
"I take it he hasn't woken up yet." Aki spoke, sitting in a chair against the wall and across from the foot of the bed. "I spoke with his doctor... and the procedure went very well. He doubts there will be a relapse, but wants to continue check ups... just to make sure."
Another hour went by... now into the ninth hour since the surgery, and once again, Akihiko showed the tell-tale signs of waking.
Blue eyes blinked open lazily, and at first they focused on Michi. A slight smirk appeared on the musician's face. "I hope you got some sleep..." Akihiko spoke, his voice rather low as he was obviously fighting to stay awake.
He blinked again tiredly, his eyes closing for a moment. "Where... where's Izzy?" Akihiko asked, his hazy mind not remembering... yet... what had happened. "I though he'd be here..."
Aki frowned. He knew that memory problems were to be expected, and it was still too early to tell if his grandson had forgotten the earthquake and the tsunami... or if he was still fighting the effects of the anesthetic...
Blue eyes opened again, "Wait has... has there been any word?" Narcissus asked, an obvious look of confusion on his face as his brain tried to grasp the fact that he'd just asked about a man who, for all they knew, was dead and washed out to sea...

"No...not yet." answered Michi as he carefully let go of Akihiko's hand. He didn't want Akihiko's grand dad to get a weird impression. "That's good news at least. Maybe Akihiko will be able to feel physically pretty good in a few weeks."
After that, Michi went quiet and watched his friend lay there for another hour until the blue eyes fluttered just a little to greet him again. With that Michi had a grateful sigh. "I did." was the first thing he said answering Akihiko's question. "Your grandfather ordered Me to bed of all things." he chuckled trying to lighten the mood.
Of course, when Akihiko's next question hit, it pretty much weighted things right back down for him. He didn't remember? Oh lord, he didn't want to be the one to tell him. But just before he could open his mouth, Akihiko re-cantered and realized a portion of reality.
"Mmmm...ah...No word. Takagi-san has been out all day looking." he said honestly knowing that even like this, Akihiko could probably sense a fib. "But more and more people are being found each passing hour, so...we've just got to keep hoping we'll here news soon."

"Sou... sou desu ne..." Akihiko replied, moving enough to push a button on the bed and raise it up. His head spun for a moment and he felt queasy, but then it subsided. He didn't want to fall asleep again. Not really... "Ojisan.... why did you come?" he asked, not looking at the man.
Aki smiled sadly, 'Because you're my grandson, Akihiko-kun. I feared the worst, until Yuuji told me you had made contact with him." standing, the chairman walked over and actually hugged Narcissus. "I was so worried."
For a moment, Akihiko didn't do anything. He just sat there. Then, carefully, he raised his arms up and returned the hug. "It took me nearly dying for you to see me again? Some ojisan..."
Aki pulled back. "I took some time to myself. There were things that I needed to do and..."
"I hate your excuses. You've got a bad heart and you've been keeping it from me and Hiroki." blue eyes focused on the older man. "You could have told us, you know... Where is Hiroki by the way?"
"Outside. I didn't think you'd want to..." but before the chairman could finish his sentence, Akihiko raised his voice loudly.
"HIROKI! GET YOUR a** IN HERE NOW!"
That... was certainly unexpected... and, from Aki's point of view, potentially dangerous...

"Shhh...shh..calm down Akihiko. You just got out of surgery, man." Michi said as he moved a bit closer. Oh he knew how poorly Hiroki and Akihiko got along and he wondered if Akihiko had gone over some edge.
Although the mention of that bad heart caused Michi to look up at his grandfather with some concern. Maybe that's why he had been so willing to come? Either way, this matter seemed like something that shouldn't happen right after surgery. But then again, at least Akihiko wasn't moping either.
Michi wasn't even sure what to do other than try to make sure not to let this become a powder keg.

Eto....WTF??
Hiroki had been waiting outside with Nezumi and was just about to go get some coffee when he heard the LOUD voice of Koyasu-kun. It stopped him dead in his tracks and he looked back at Nez just to make sure he hadn't been hearing things.
Koyasu-kun couldn't be yelling...for him. Why would Koyasu-kun be demanding his presence right after surgery? From Hiroki's eyes, that was like asking for disaster. His nose pained even at the thought of it but...he walked over to the door and carefully pushed it open a tiny bit and peeked in.
Maybe he heard it all wrong. Koyasu-kun could still be fast asleep and it was just something...Wait, those blue eyes were zeroing right in on him!
"Excuse me but I thought I heard a call. I don't want to interrupt." He was polite, and very ready to back out of the room. Hopefully it was a mistake and he wasn't needed.

As soon as Hiroki was in the room, with Akihiko completely ignoring what Michi said, those blue eyes focused in on the assistant.
"Come inside." Narcissus spoke calmly, no longer yelling now that he'd gotten the other man's attention.
Oddly enough, Aki was standing there with a bit of a smirk on his face as he watched this seemingly random interaction.
When Hiroki had fully come inside, Akihiko spoke. "I'm sorry. I'm apologizing for," he waved at the man's nose. "Hitting you, you know. From what Michi-kun told me... I've done a lot of things that... well... I shouldn't have since that charity benefit and not all of them were really my fault. I mean... yeah I did it but I couldn't help it cause of the um..." he pointed to the bandage around his head. "I... just wanted to say I was sorry?"
He felt awkward... apologizing in front of people... but he remembered what he'd done. In fact... he remembered a lot... Shou-san and his performance included.
"I guess the doctors made a mistake the first time around or something... but... I just wanted to apologize, Asato. I'm sorry."

Eto....WTF??
Hiroki did step inside when asked but was cautious and a little uncomfortable. Even when Akihiko's voice was calmer he was very unsure. Then, Akihiko spoke again and Hiroki had no idea what to say. He almost thought his ears lied to him as the other man spoke. In fact, he was floored because this was something he had never expected.
And while Akihiko felt awkward apologizing, Hiroki felt really awkward listening to it. And one of his hand's fingers absentmindedly came closer to his nose not quite touching it when Akihiko waved towards it. Maybe he was just a little defensive of his noggin after the incident. Afterwards, he just stood there for a moment, his lips pursed with this weird feeling. But he had to say...something.
"I..." He nodded for a moment accepting the apology but unable to find great words or snappy come backs. "I accept your apology, Akihiko." Usually he wouldn't use Akihiko's first name so it was very rare to see him use it. "I'm sure that things will improve from this day forward." The words didn't pin point any particular thing because Hiroki didn't want to touch upon the issue of Izzy Lucky or Shou. Even if he wasn't sure what to think of this apology in a deeper sense, Koyasu-kun seemed sincere enough. At least, he hoped that was the case. Hiroki tried to be as graceful about this as possible especially with Aki standing less than a couple feet away. While he wasn't sure this would change anything in the future between them, it seemed like the right thing for once had happened between them rather than continuing a vicious cycle.

"I know I've been an a**... to everyone, hell even to Michi-kun." Akihiko spoke, feeling as if he were stuck in the spotlight suddenly. "I just... with what's happened..." his blue eyes rose to meet Hiroki's own perplexed gaze. "I don't want to part on bad terms with anyone... again..." the musician whispered, obviously feeling guilty that Izzy may be dead and... well... he'd been so damn mean to the manager... "Sure, it's probably a selfish feeling... but I don't want people to look back on me and think I was just a narcissistic selfish spoiled b*****d... and I don't want someone's last thoughts to reflect that animosity..."
Aki put a hand on his grandson's shoulder. "I think we understand, Akihiko." the older man replied kindly. "Now, I want you to stop worrying about it... and get some rest. Tanaka-san will, no doubt, stay with you. I've got things to attend to, including the search and the distribution of goods... but also a press conference. I'll be back to check on you later."
"Ha... hai..." For the first time in a long time... Akihiko felt like a kid again due to his grandfather's sudden protectiveness.

This new Akihiko was...very different from what Hiroki was used to. He nodded in agreement because he needed time to take in everything that the man had said. Had he really grown that much just by clearing up the swelling? Had Izzy Lucky really helped change him that much?
It made Hiroki wonder what could have been if Izzy were around to witness this. But if Izzy had been around, would anything have changed? He didn't know. Thinking it would losing the manager's life to change Koyasu-kun was difficult to accept.
"I don't think...that its selfish to..make this change." he finally said softer but still puzzled by all this.
However, after Aki mentioned that he should leave, Hiroki knew he'd follow. It was what he had been directed to do. As always on Aki's heels. "You should get some rest, Koyasu-kun. It's going to be a few days before you're out of here but we will keep you updated if we hear or find out any information."
He gave a nod and walked out with Aki. Once out of earshot, he said, "I can't believe I just heard that..."

"Believe it." Aki spoke as they headed down the hallway. "I told you that Izzy had changed my grandson. After the concert... he forgot due to his injury. Obviously, he has those memories back now... and with it... the change that Izzy had brought about."
Sighing, the chairman shook his head. "I just wish Lucky-san were here to see that change himself... Do you believe me now that Nezumi-san should be fine with my grandson?"

"Maybe." he answered as he walked down the hall finally returning to where Nezumi was waiting. He couldn't say yes yet because this was just one short moment. He'd wait to see what happened in the future. Then make that decision. His nose still hurt even after the apology. There wasn't any magic that could make it just become well. The same thing with Koyasu-kun. But maybe eventually actions would change his mind.

Call me Ishmael who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth------------------------------------------------}:-
It had been a week, a very long week. They had only each other and the fish, wind and water. Way too much water. But one thing they had discovered was that as they move along, the small weak radio in the boat started picking up signals again. So in time, news of survivors, even a rebroadcast of Chairman Koyasu's words about the survivors was mentioned. Akihiko was ok. That much at least brought a small bit of relief to the man. He hoped Akihiko was home in Japan. He doubted they would have had much fun together in Japan.
His toes dipped in the blue waters reflected with light of the moon. It reminded him of those eyes. "No home cooked dinner now...you probably think I'm dead. Maybe it's better that way. You weren't happy with me were you." he said to the moon's reflection.
Shou was sleeping, and for Izzy that was a good thing. The man kept him so busy with voice lessons, writing songs and seeing the world from a new perspective that it was like feeding from the fire hose at times. Shou had no limits except the strange personality fits that came and went.
A very attractive man....Izzy thought as he pondered new horizons. It wasn't the looks...well maybe that was part. The man was hot under his makeup. But beyond that, Shou was a brilliant mentor. He cared in his unusual sort of way and Izzy had a feeling the man was attracted to him but didn't make advances like other men. Sometimes Izzy wondered why...He had pushed away the man's arm around him at night. Or maybe, Shou was more committed to Hayato? He couldn't tell. Didn't ask.
Actually, it was honestly rather refreshing not to be taken advantage of for a change. Maybe that was part of Shou's world? Maybe Izzy would have to be the one to move forward.

Closing the door behind him, Akihiko sighed. He wasn't going to lock it, because he really didn't want Michi to worry about him any more than the man obviously already did.
He took a few steps forward, flipping a switch on the panels laid out before him. Already the man, bandage still in place on his head, had been working very hard. Narcissus had the guitar track laid out and recorded already, the same with the bass and the drums, and today he was going to do the vocals... finally. There would, of course, be a few other things that needed to be done for the song, but for the most part, he wanted a good working track for when he got back to Japan.
He'd need to let Yammi and his group hear it, after all...
So, walking into the small recording studio, closing the door behind him, Akihiko picked up the microphone... and began to sing...
Kaze no koe wo kiita Yume no tsuzuki wo shiritakute Daremo oshiete wa kurenai Mune ga akaku somatta...

~ ~ ~
I listened to the voice of the wind And although I want to know what comes after this dream No one will tell me My chest is stained crimson….
I want only you to understand That I must return…
This endless white earth continues on into the distance Already my screaming voice does not reach anyone
In order to hide the pain of this body, I am embraced by the kindness from the sky
The moon reflecting in your eyes is beautiful Even if this night never ends….
This endless white earth continues on into the distance Already my screaming voice does not reach anyone
Deeply into this continuous, endless white earth Again, I will be falling, and no one can heal me
In order to wrap this small body, It is embraced by the kindness of the wagtail
Asleep in the kindness from the sky, and embraced by the warmth of the earth…
As soon as he was finished, Akihiko couldn't help but almost drop the mic. He took a deep breath, walking back out of the studio and falling into the chair in front of the recording equipment. He scrolled through the song, cutting out the bits at the end where he had had to come back into the other room to stop the recording... and then listened to the song on play back.
Of course the studio was part of his hotel suite, something that Aki had specifically rented since he knew his grandson would want to get to work as soon as possible. And, also of course, it wasn't sound proof. The room where the recording took place was... where he had sung and played the instruments necessary to cut the track himself. But in the control room, whatever he played, whatever he sang, blared from the speakers, literally filling his entire suite with music. Anyone passing by the room would easily hear it. He was actually lucky he hadn't gotten any complaints... yet.
He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I should pull it back a little..." Akihiko spoke to himself, making the nessecary adjustments on the MAC computer. One that Aki had actually had brought with him... just in case... so it had a Japanese OS installed, allowing Narcissus to fiddle with his music until, eventually, the desired product came about.
It was the second track he'd finished since his release from the hospital. This was the third day he'd been free of that damned hospital bed. And, since he had gotten out, the young man hadn't really spoken to anyone. Sure, Akihiko had come out to go to the bathroom or order some room service... because honestly his appetite had finally returned to him, but he hadn't actively sought others out.
Aki had spoken to him a bit, asking if his grandson would be up for an interview or a few questions from the press... but Narcissus had declined, telling his grandfather that he should simply tell the media that he was still recovering.
Kicking his feet up on the desk nearby, Akihiko just listened to the recording, one hand on the mouse, in case he needed to alter something. He probably needed to try and get some sleep soon... he'd been averaging about two or three hours a day since his release, which he knew wasn't exactly healthy... But the songs just wouldn't stop... The need to write them... to play them... to sing... That need hurt, physically, and Akihiko couldn't ignore the pull of the melody.
(((OOC: Video of the song. This is the type of emotion that Koy's putting out btw... of course since he just got out of the hospital, he's not kneeling on the ground or anything... but it's the same sort of emotion. SONG: Seki-ray ARTIST: GACKT http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/5vZ6JPwdFG0/ )))
