Sasuke had hoped that Sakura wouldn't say anything. But, as usual, he had no luck. I'll never gamble. he thought to himself. Aside from having no luck he was also stubborn. He almost took a piece of cake right then and there, but he wasn't stupid either and he thought the better of it. I'm not going to play into their trap. I almost ate sugar... he shuddered inwardly.

"Hey, why don't you eat? Don't like cake? I'll just take your piece then!" said Gaara, taking the piece of cake and eating it.

Chouji stared at the piece longingly till Ino drop a two pieces onto his plate.

Here dear you an have my piece as well. I'm trying to lose some weight.

Thanks Ino, Chouji starts eating the piece then says. But I think your perfect and don't need to lose a pound.

Naruto had moved back to his seat despite his fear of Sakura's outbursts.

Sakura just continued to smile, ignoring how she truely felt inside and decided not to have cake. She wasn't in the mood for sweets tonight so she just settled for an apple on the plate of fruit that seemed to have been untouched. She looked over at Sasuke and gave him a tiny smile before looking away. Sakura stopped mid bite when something hit her. "We forgot to sing happy birthday and Gaara was supposed to blow out the candles before we ate the cake." 0_0

Naruto made a blank face. "Forget it he's way to old for that."

No Sakura's right, I've got a spare cake in the back.

And whay would you have a spare cake hidden Ino?

Well you have been known to eat things before the party even starts.

There's more? Sasuke thought to himself, his mind stuck on that one thought. More cake? That is one of the top reasons I hate parties. Why cake? Why? And why stupid gifts? Oh that's right, he thought to himself, I almost forgot about that. A slight smirk appeared on his face.

"Huh? Sasuke, what's the matter?" he asked Sasuke. Thanks to Sakura's jutsu, he was remembering everything.

Ino got up, I'll go get it.

Wait Ino I'll help you carry it.

Oh no Chouji your not going to try a claim a piece before Gaara even gets to see it. Stay right here.

Fine, Chouji looks a little annoyed.

Sakura wanna help me carry it in.

"I can help!" said Gaara. He was hoping to get a look at the cake. He heard a meow. "Heh... whoops! Forgot to feed the cat!"

Sakura got up. "Sure I'll help." She winked at Sasuke before following Ino into the kitchen. "Okay so the party's going farely well." she said.

Naruto leaned over to Sasuke. "Hey Sasuke I need to go you wanna come with me? I have some training to do."

Yeah, I was worried earlier but now it's goin great. Ino opened a huge freezer pulling out a three layer cake.
