YoukaiLuvr Steel Sterling NEW question! Kurzon Dax was Jadzia's predecessor. A) Where did he die? B) What was the cause of death? It's Curzon - a 'C', not a 'K.' xp And it was on Risa, in the middle of making love to a woman...I believe the cause was death by 'jamaharon' or something....
I always misspell his name. I keep picturing it the other way.
And yes, you got his place of death, and cause of death, correct- Risa, death by jamaharon. Anyplace else that would sound suspicious. I expect Risa leads the Quadrant in numbers of people who die with smiles on their faces. smile

YoukaiLuvr Steel Sterling NEW question! No less than FIVE characters (not regulars) have claimed (or can be claimed) to be, in effect, direct relations to Lt Commander Data, in the course of ST:TNG. Name, or describe in detail, four or more of them, and which relative they claimed to be (or could be claimed.) Lal - His daughter Dr. Ira Graves - His 'grandfather' Lore (does he count?) - His brother Noonien and Juliana Soong - His mother and father (I think they were on there...I'm pretty sure Juliana was, anyway.) I think that's it. Unless I'm totally missing someone.... sweatdrop
That's all 5. Fans may consider some other character to have some other connection- this one to be "like a brother" or that one like a spouse or something- but these were the 5 who were declared so during the episodes. Data declared Lal to be his child, specifically his daughter. Dr Ira Graves said Data might consider him his grandfather, and Graves did so disguised as Data. Lore referred to Data as his brother, and them as the sons of Soong. Noonien Soong is unquestionably his father, as came up more than once. Juliana Soong was a surprise-finding out Noonien was married while he worked on Data and Lore. However, she considered Data her child, and Data considered her such as well.

Steel Sterling In the sense of the parts and their origins, and their assembly into Soong-type androids, yes, that is true. In the sense of the personality, that is not true-since she had the memories and personality of the original Juliana, making her- at least in mind- the offspring of the original Juliana's parents.
You are right. Although I would recommend not to rely too much on the idea of "memories=same person" in the ST universe or you'll have trouble defining Trills...

That's what makes it so fascinating. It allows for interesting discussions.

YoukaiLuvr M'kay - I found my books! Yayness! lol...I'm very, very tired right now.... Anyway, here's a fairly easy question - it's on the back cover of one of the books, if that tells ya anything. Match each shuttlecraft to its 'parent' ship: A. ChaffeeB. CochraneC. ColumbusD. CopernicusE. Curiei. U.S.S. Enterpriseii. U.S.S. Enterprise-Aiii. U.S.S. Enterprise-Div. U.S.S. Defiantv. U.S.S. VoyagerI got it right, first guess...the first and second shuttles should be fairly easy.... Oh, and before I forget, here's my source. Source: Jill Sherwin. The Definitive Star Trek Trivia Book, Volume II. Pocket Books; New York. 2001. Back Cover.
I think I know A, B and E. But not the other 2. Do I post the answer to those or wait to see if someone can answer all of them?

Very close. The Chaffee (which suprisingly, is pronounced more like 'coffee') is indeed one of the Defiant's shuttlecraft. The Cochrane is one of Voyager's. The Curie is one of the Enterprise-D's.
You just got the Columbus and the Copernicus switched up. Columbus is the original and the Copernius is the Enterprise-A.
Fun question, ne? I've got more! xp
