Not true, I have a friend that wants to be a librarian and she works as an assistant at our local library. Her grandfather thought it was a mistake and didn't want her to do it. She kept working at it and this summer she is going to colledge and she is going to try to become one. My advice, if you really want to become a librarian then you should keep at it no matter what anyone else says.
