ThisEmptySoul On another note, I just got done making whipped cream to go with the pies. I made some for the last two pies as well, but didn't really get to taste much of the cream or the pie {I got small amounts of each, but they were literally just scraps of what was left after being distributed amongst hundreds of people...}
This time, I tasted some off the whisk when I was getting ready to wash everything, and it tasted just like vanilla ice cream emotion_drool *wants to eat all of it now*
Too bad I never measure anything and don't know how much of what I put in there... ***OFF TOPIC WARNING***but this is bandy so what do you expect? happy divali! probably late but i attended our local KC temple festival and spent waaaay too much on salwar kameez suits [redundant but how to pluralify?] and food and they had some nice manjira ^_^ ! I just spent 2 weeks with a tabla player so I was a little disappointed with the local quasi-musicians but it was still funtimes. iTablaPro is an amazing app, btw if you want to chant or play raga type music. pricey but super duper way worth it for a musician.

bandaidd happy divali! probably late but i attended our local KC temple festival and spent waaaay too much on salwar kameez suits [redundant but how to pluralify?] and food and they had some nice manjira ^_^ ! What day Diwali falls on depends on location, actually... since all dates are calculated by moon cycles. Here in Denver, Diwali was... uh... last Tuesday I think? Then Govardhan Puja was the next day emotion_dowant It's the best holy day ever because of all the sweets emotion_awesome They celebrated twice at the temple here: once on the actual day and then again on Sunday because more people would be able to attend on Sunday than Wednesday.
I got a lot more sweets on the Wednesday celebration because there were less people there. The Sunday one, a lot of people prepared things and brought them in to be offered so I figured there would be even more sweets, but in the end it was less because there were just too many people there for everyone to get some of everything sweatdrop Spouse and I made three preparations for it {or maybe technically 4}...
I made two pumpkin pies and half a gallon of whipped cream to go with {crust was made from scratch... none of that nasty premade refrigerated crust}, spouse made oatmeal raisin cookies {or at least the dough. It was my job to form them into cookies because the spouse didn't clip their nails and didn't want to get cookie dough under them}, and spouse also made blueberry halava with maple syrup.
By the time they got to us in the serve out, we didn't see a trace of the halava or the cookies, what was left of the pumpkin pies was mostly just crust {but it was good crust emotion_drool }, and what was left of the whipped cream was whatever could be scrapped off the sides of the tin that was holding it. I did get some strawberry halava that the temple made as well as a chunk of carob cake {which someone made a whole lot of to use as the base of Govardhan Hill} and half a gulab jamun {had to split it with the spouse because there wasn't enough to go around}, but there was definitely a lot more to be had with less people.

Spouse has been trying to keep up with exercising. They told me their weight this morning, but I was so out of it that I didn't really hear them *not a morning person* stressed I do remember them saying it was the lowest yet, though. They've gotten out of the "obese" range and into "normal". While it's nice that they've gotten to a healthy weight now, the spouse also gets overly concerned that they're going to suddenly gain all that weight back. emotion_facepalm

Stress. My theme for today.
Putting everything off to the last minute usually works out pretty well for me. Except when the universe conspires to make everything due on the same day. (# ・`Д´・)

Coincidentally I happen to have a bottle of vodka within reaching distance now.
Challenge accepted. emotion_dowant
Oh yeah. When I want to run a multi shot gauntlet I always pour beforehand because well coordination is the first thing to go. Though I don't do it anymore. I've woken up having done some things I am not proud of while so drunk before. sweatdrop

You know, I couldn't stand it in elementary, junior and high school, and guess what? I still can't ******** stand it! The whole "middle man" bullshit is too cheap and comical to even be called childish. If you want to know how I feel about you, THEN COWBOY THE ******** UP AND ASK ME! Don't send mutual parties to do it for you.
And don't think for one goddamned second that I don't know a s**t stirrer when I smell one. You haven't talked to me in ages and then all of a sudden you "talk" me up as if I just popped back on the face of the planet? Then the whole of the conversation is about a mutual party, with all comments being negative or vague, while asking me how I felt/thought on the situation?
Let me make this loud and extremely crystal ******** clear to you all: There's not a damned thing that I've said that I cannot repeat. I don't need anyone relating anything I've said back, be it word of mouth or IMs I've sent. My email ain't changed, Gaia name's still the same. You want to know something, send a PM, email, or comment me.
I'm a grown a** woman and I'm tired of dealing with childish a** adults!
