Arya was not originally born in Sunagakure, but her family came to settle when she was young. They used to be nomadic, traveling from place to place and merely enjoying life. Her father by trade, was a medical shinobi, and often stopped at small villages to fill the role as doctor for a bit. She picked up on the trade, being rather interested in the workings of the human body. Once they had settled in a ninja village, Arya was enrolled in the Academy. From there, she was not the best of students. Often times, Arya was challenging others, or accepting challenges ranging from who could jump the farthest, to how much damage one could receive. Her natural competitiveness often placed her in the seat of punishments. Arya wasn't one to turn down a challenge, no matter the stakes. All in all, she was a very joyous girl, and took on the family habit of drinking sake. Despite her young age and the norm of being chastised, she retains her drink quite well, and is never seen without it.

Hitsumi was born on the outskirts of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Her father, Jin Senju a man named was a member of the Mokuton clan and was known as one of the strongest members and her mother was a lower member of same clan, named Soma Madarame. They were both placed on the same team and for years constantly argued and bickered with each other. But it all stopped one fateful day, during a mission; they were both sent off to the mission in which the were only suppose to be doing recon, but was drawn into bad. They had barely manage to escape before and was forced to take shelter in a cave and even while in the cave they argued about who's fault it was until it happened, Jin kissed Soma and ever since they have never left each others side.
They had a Hitsumi at a very young age and because of this Soma was forced to end her career as a shinobi, but Jin continued in order to help support the family. But while working Jin made very powerful enemies, which would all surface excluding one. And although her father had many enemies Hitsumi did what was expected of her and joined the ninja academy to live up to her fathers legacy which she did. But there was still one more enemy that Jin hadn't taken care of and he chose his time to strike perfectly, the exactly seven days after Hitsumi's 14th birthday while they slept. A man named Kenmaru, was Jin's great enemy that took the life of not only Jin but his wife and almost his daughter. Kenmaru cased a powerful sleeping Genjutsu over the house of the already sleeping family and set the house on fire, burning them bother alive and he would have taken the life of Hitsumi as well if it wasn't for a near by shinobi who rushed into the burning house to save her. During the fire she received small cuts and bruises as well as small but sever burns. But she healed over most of it quickly; leaving only small burn spots that healed slowly, but she covered those with bandages. She also bandaged one half of her face, because of a small cut at her hair line, it has healed up but she still wears the bandages for a unknown reason.
