Iago caught her smile and wished he could smile back, but all he could do was nod at her. He then turned the horse around and set off for the front of the city. Once they passed through the gates, and into the forest...he let out a sigh of relief.
They were free.
He rode along the main road for a few minutes. Soon, they approached the mountains, and he turned off to use a small trail that led up toward the cabin.
"Excited?" he asked Evie, smiling at her and looking back.

εviε Evie stayed silent until they were under the cover of the trees. Evie then reached up and pulled down the hood that his her face. They were on their was to bugger and better things together, she was so looking forward their time together. She looked over at her Iago and smiled brightly.
"I am excited...I cannot wait!!" Evie squealed with outright and obvious delight. Things were looking up for them.

Iago laughed at her excited reaction, and continued on. Within a few more minutes, the sound of running water met his ears, and soon, a medium sized wooden cabin came into sight, next to a stream that ran down the mountain and curved around the side. It flowed with a bit of a current, but not excessively so, to the point where it was safe to swim. But to be on the safe side, Cyril had erected a small barrier in the water that allowed water to flow past, but stopped anyone from being dragged down the mountain.
"Welcome to..." he looked back with one of the brightest smiles he'd ever given her.
"Our home."

εviε Evie gasped when she saw the cabin came into view. It was so beautiful with the running river and the tranqil sound of it as it rushed down in a current. She couldn't believe it was time now for them to be together. She stopped her horse and slid off of its back. Evie lightly patted it on the neck and took everything I'm. The smell...the feel...the sounds. With a big grin,Evie spun around and faced Iago with a huge smile
pastered on her face.
"Our home..." Evie repeated, unable to stop smiling.

"Our home." Iago said. He walked the horse over to the side of the house, where he hitched it up to a long wooden frame that was built especially for that, along the side of the cabin. He waited for Evie to join him, and hitched her horse the same way. There was a feed trough nearby for them, which they could reach. He would deal with them tomorrow, by getting them to a paddock, or even letting them run free.
He undid Evie's pack, and carried it for her.
"Want to see the inside?" he asked, leading her into the cabin. It was dark, but that soon changed, as he lit a few candles and an oil lantern inside, revealing a beautiful, quaint wooden cabin, with lots of wooden furniture, and a comfortable looking bed that they could both fit in. The cabin had only two rooms: the bedroom, and the living room/study/kitchen/dinning room.

εviε Evie followed Iaho inside and she took in the little cabin. She loved it, so small and quaint and homey. Evie looked sideways at Iago and smiled at him, she was grateful for everything he sid for her and could never fathom how good being together felt.
"Itsbso homey...I love it Iago." Evie found herself wandering as she meandered to the bed and sat down on it. It was very comfortable and plush.

Iago smiled, sitting next to her. "I love it too. But the best part is...we can be as two lovers are supposed to be." he said with a soft laugh, kissing her on the cheek.
"We live together, in the same house, and we must survive together. The only thing missing is the ring on your finger." he joked. Then again, if he could marry her, he would do so in a heartbeat.

εviε Evie frowned at his joke, that wasn't exactly a savory joke in her opinion. She would have given anything to be with her Iago in marriage and he was dangling that before her.

Iago got up and walked over to Evie, knowing he'd toed a line he shouldn't have toed. He put his arm over her shoulder.
"Evie...I want to change that. While we're here, I want to come up with a plan not only to get Jocelyn to disappear, but..." he looked over at her. "I love you, and I would love to marry you. I want to figure out a way to let my father allow it." he whispered.

εviε Evie felt him touch her shoulder and sighed...she didn't want him to feel bad and she tried to cheer up. She didn't
like being totes with however.
"It is okay. I understand what you are saying. I just....cannot bear to think about such things now because I know it is futile to bother with something our of our hands. " Evie whispered, turning around to look at his expression.

"Evie, this isn't out of our hands." Iago said. "I'll make it so we can marry, somehow. If we have to run and live as commoners, so be it." he said, kissing her tenderly on the cheek.
"But if you want me to stop discussing it, then I will." he said softly.

εviε Evie sighed when his lips touched her cheek and couldn't help but smile. She felt bad for making him feel that way and kissed him in return, they were supposed to be happy now, not sad.

"You wouldn't make me, Evie." Iago said with a smile. "I wouldn't mind at all. I told you I wanted out of this stupid game of being a royal, didn't I? If it's with you, I'd live as one." he said. He wanted to give her the necklace, but not yet.

εviε Evie smiled at him and couldn't stay sad, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him oh so tenderly on the lips. She truly loved him.
"You really would give up all your power,money,and status for me? No more cushy lifestyle....we would have to work." Evie looked into his eyes to gauge his reaction to her words.

"I wouldn't mind it." Iago said truthfully. "I would, of course, bring some money with me to start...but I would enjoy working for my money." he said truthfully, smiling at her. He put his arms gingerly around her, remembering where they'd been before, and very gently holding her, not wanting to cause her pain.
