ANNOUNCEMENT: I have seen hundreds of cases [our facilities had close to a thousand] of swine flu at our university. We didn't report them, because the state quit wanting numbers. The numbers you see are maybe 1/10th of all the cases.
NONE of the people were very sick at all. Some had no symptoms whatever and just wanted to be tested because they had been exposed and they tested positive, which means they had it and are now immune without ever feeling sick. Most just had a slight sore throat with NO fever and felt fine. The only reason they came in was because they were scared. It isn't a bad illness. We had NO hospitalizations. I would rather have swine flu than a cold or a canker sore. Seriously. Please don't be frightened by the press hype.

It was the first thing that came to mind to kill the thread. Besides, the media blew this flu WAY out of proportion.
