Well, it seems that no one likes using this thread to post their models or to ask for advise, but rather to create their own millions of threads.... so I'll update myself here.
First expose into painting 'scenery', I think it came out nice enough (from Macragge): http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y198/rashakiya/Warhammer/Sm-Wing1.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y198/rashakiya/Warhammer/Sm-Wing2.jpg
Also, I tried (for the first time) my hand at drybrushing, to see how it would look and how it would work and all that. Unfortunitely, I wasn't quite sure of what I was doing, and ended up using too much paint on my brush, ending up with this: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y198/rashakiya/Warhammer/LegionTest1.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y198/rashakiya/Warhammer/LegionTest2.jpg
After that, I learned from my mistake and went on to try and work out a colour scheme for my Death Korps which are now in the mail. I did a basecoat of Shadow Grey, drybrushing (for the most part) on top of it Bestial Brown, then Scorched Desert, then Rotting Flesh, and then I ended up drybrushing some Shadow Grey back overtop that, and a little bit of the Rotting Flesh over everything, to give the effect that he'd been in the mud some. Suggestions for this paint job are most welcome: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y198/rashakiya/Warhammer/KriegTest-F.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y198/rashakiya/Warhammer/KriegTest-S.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y198/rashakiya/Warhammer/KriegTest-B.jpg
My most recent thing that I've done with I'm kinda proud of is this flamer. Ignore the model (especially the face), but pay more attention to the weapon, which I tried to give that charred look to the metal and then I used a little bit of cotton (which I painted black) to create the effect of smoke: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y198/rashakiya/Warhammer/Flamer-F.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y198/rashakiya/Warhammer/Flamer-B.jpg

Huzzah! Finally someone actualy uses the original thread. If I had it my way, I'd get rid of all those ******** journals.
The wing is red, which I dislike, and the metal is streaky, like I can see brushstrokes, which I dislike. It's my least favourite thing, especialy because it's a 3 colour job. The base looks a little too "lumpy" because of the use of one shade of brown. Sorry if this seems harsh, but I just dislike the wing.
The paint job on the man is pretty good. All I can really suggest is you do the base on the "Krieg" one you've done now, just so you can see how it'll look when it's been finished all over. As to the model itself, the back looks great, while the front looks a little plain, and a little bit dull. The face, as well, I feel is missing something. The black helmet, the black visor, it looks a bit like you've not really done anything to it.
The smoke of the cotton looks good. A lot better than I'd have originally thought as well. However, the burnished metal looks a bit too clean cut, you smudge that up a little bit.
Overal, a pretty decent job. Just touch it up (I'm assume you're going for better-than-tabletop here, seeing as your models are so expensive) in time for the arrivals, refine your style.
Drybrushing should take about 6-et infinitum layers, until it looks how yu want it. Saying "This'll do" is never good enough. That's one of my first rules of painting. If it's super-s**t, strip it and start again.

Well, the wing I'm happy with just because it's done and nothing more. I think I'll go back and use something over the dirt, such as Rotting Flesh, which will make it paler and perhaps more like unearthed... earth. As for the brushstrokes, while the paint was rather thick, I think that's just because of the model itself, which had numerous lines and ridges along the 'flat' areas. And in retrospect, the red doesn't look too good, I even thought that when I was painting it. I think that I may go over it with some metal, to make it seem like most of the paint got stratched off.
The problem with the way the "Krieg" one looks is that I was just trying to match the paint scheme on the example ones, which doesn't look quite right on the Armageddon models, though I'm still pleased overall with it. I think I'll end up doing a few more test ones to try and do the best I can before I start on my actual models. As for the base though, all I have is some brown rocks which I no longer really like all that much, as that they're too large and only suit one sort of environment. I'm going to try and get some 'grass' and use it for my models from now on.
Thank you for the compliments on the smoke, I was very pleased with how it turned out. As for the metal however, I must agree that in the picture it looks very clean cut for where the colour changes, but when you view the model in person, it doesn't appear that way.
This in a way has just been me thinking in type, but I must thank you for your help and suggestions, criticisms and the like. I am no master at this, and every little bit of help that I can get is most appriciated.
((And so you know, I do plan on fielding my Krieg soldiers, it'll just take me about half a decade to save up enough to buy the whole thing...))

Andreis Shokudo Here's my Witch Hunters Henchman Crusader, 'most likely the best model I've ever painted. Yeah, I know, shitty photos. Why does this look frighteningly familiar? I'm...Sorry?
