Don't worry about it. *sets the kitten down on the ground so she can use both hands* Thistle, hold still!

*holds as still as he can with Thistle wiggling right next to him*

*Jack meows and bats at the kitten again*

*Gin looks at the kitten, then lays his head down, trying to sleep*

Thistle sighed in frustration but finally laid still. She knew that voice of Kits and knew not to test her then.

Amy sighed as well, this time at Kits. "Kits... You're my best friend. Of COURSE I'm going to worry about it! I'm worried about you. I don't want to force you to tell me, though I wish you felt you could confide in me. Know that I'm here for you if you need to talk. If you don't want me to, I won't tell Karrie. I promise. What you tell me in confidentiality remains between us."

The kitten near Jack quickly stood up and then launched himself at Jack, throwing his whole little body into it the only way a kitten could, meaning no harm.

*Kits didn't want to talk to Amy about what was bothering her then, so after she untangled Smok and Thistle, they all sat around chatting about other things and eating some of the snacks for a while.

When Thistle started getting sleepy, Kits decided it was time to leave. She took Gwee, Gin, and Jack home, keeping Smok with her as she walked around aimlessly*

-back at the police station, dame gets her one phone call, getting several dirty looks from people. She just rolls her eyes and sighs, punching in Psy's cell number-

-dame sighs again and covers herself up, curling up into a ball in one of the seat, she holds it together best she can-

Daniel watched helplessly as the vehicle pulled away, the lights turned off shorlty after. He wanted to kick something, hit something. He had hesitated. Over his friendship.

"Dammit!"

Daniel tried to calm himself, and think logically. Dame had definitely come this way, but he should of caught up to her. The car had pulled away in no haste. Either Dame had somehow gotten home really quickly, or she had been in the vehicle. Either way, it seemed she was probably okay, Daniel wanted to make sure. Problem was he didn't know how. Looking up and down the street one more time, trying to decide, he finally makes up his mind and bolts back to the apartment. His stride stretches, and he quickly covers the distance.

His pace doesn't slow as he takes the stairs three at a time. Reaching the door, he quickly fumbles his key out and gets the door open. Letting the door slam shut behind him, Daniel does a quick survey of the apartment, and finds no trace of Dame having made it home. His head sank along with his feelings.

"Damn. I'm sorry Dame. I'm so sorry. You are always there for me, and first time I see you need someone, I fail."

Daniel pulls off his jacket and tosses it aside. Turning on the radio to something random, Daniel drops to sit on the couch. His eyes are on the front door, but his mind thinks only on what he should've done.

-after a little while of waiting, the good Officer comes out from the back and tells dame she's free to go, that it was just a misunderstanding and that he explained to the arresting officer that he knows dame and that dame was not a prostitute. dame nods and thanks him quietly, telling Dougherty that Victor would be there to pick her up soon. The officer nods and looks upon dame with sad eyes, feeling for the poor young woman. He wishes her well and then returns to the back.

Not long after that, Victor walks in, if he is surprised at dame's predicament, he doesn't show it.-

Miss dame, are you ready to go?

-she gives him a small smile- Yes, thank you. -he escorts her out to the car and opens the door for her, making sure she got in and shuts the door. Victor walks around to the other side and gets into the driver's side- Where to, miss?

-dame looks up at him despondently, then buckles up- I don't care, Victor. Where ever. -understanding her sentiment, Victor starts to drive, dame lays down in the back-
