Amy felt her blush brighten when she heard Karrie's comments about her outfit. She hadn't really focused that much on what she put on today. She just wanted something light and airy since it was so hot and humid outside. She hated humidity.
And he thought it was a good change, what she was wearing? Well that was nice. Unexpected, but nice. She wasn't really used to this kind of attention from Karrie, but she didn't hate it. She didn't hate it one bit.
"Well, thank you Karrie, for saying that. I'm glad you like it. It's so hot and humid today. I wanted to wear something that would breathe."
She smiled, looked down at her lap, and then crossed her legs like she normally did when she sat on a bar stool in a skirt. However, this time her leg brushed against one of Karrie's legs. She froze and her heart seemed to stop. Oh God. She hadn't meant to do that! Stupid leg!
She reached up to tuck some of her hair behind her ear nervously when she realized that her hair was in a ponytail. Well good grief.
She laughed slightly, mostly nervously, and looked over to the top of the bar. "Sorry... Uh, Velcore came over and said you wanted to talk with me about something?"

*nods* I noticed that it's pretty humid out tonight. *hesitates for a moment when Amy's leg brushes his, then sets his glass down and looks at her in confusion* Velcore said I wanted to talk to you? confused
*raises his head quickly, hitting it against the edge of the table with a loud thud and winces*
*turns to look at Velcore* Watch it there, V. You might break the table. Don't think Psyzapp would want you in here if you're breaking stuff.

*Having never been in a limo before, he's looking all over the place, noting it's spaciousness and the seating capabilities. He looks upward and sees that the sunroof is closed.
While listening to Psyzapp, he looks ahead to the front where the driver is sitting and notes the panel separating them from the driver. He then turns his attention to Psyzapp and places his hand on her knee, patting it as he spoke.* And I love you. But I should be thanking you for taking me on this special trip with you. This will be most interesting, I'm sure!

Amy almost nodded at Karrie's question, but his words finally registered in her mind. Oh no!! She was so flustered that she hadn't even thought about what she was saying!
Amy looked up at Karrie with wide eyes and then looked over at Velcore quickly with slight panic in her eyes.
She looked back at Karrie and laughed slightly. "He said it? No, I meant, he gestured it and I just misspoke myself. I'm sorry."
She waved one of her hands in front of her in a fanning motion.
"Man, did the air conditioner break in here? It's pretty warm..."

At least I can show you New York when I'm not dealing with my Mother. We'll be sure to try and do some fun things while we are there. smile

Dammit. She didn't want Velcore to think that he made a mistake in telling her that he could talk. She had just not been paying attention to what she was saying a few minutes ago...
Amy looked at Karrie and laughed slightly. "Really? Huh. Well, the heat and I don't go well together. I get hot easily. Do you want to go over to talk at GGB? It's usually cooler over there."

I really don't think there's that much difference. Wouldn't it be more of a problem to walk there if you're too hot just sitting here? neutral *finishes his coke* If you need to go back to work, I can walk over there with you, though. *stands up and takes care of his glass*

Amy stood up from the bar stool. "I actually usually turn the air up when I come into work at night and turn it back down before I leave. So it is actually cooler there. And the walk isn't that far. Thanks for agreeing to come with me."
As she walked over to the door and she passed Velcore, she looked down at him and mouthed, I'm so sorry!
Then, she walked out the door and waited for Karrie and Velcore to join her.
