Because I don't judge. It's easier to tell your problems to an anthromorphic cartoon avatar on the internet than to someone you know, especially face-to-face. The anonymity that the internet allows breeds a strange kind of trust. In short, you should tell me because I don't know the real you, and therefore can't judge you negatively.

It's a good thought but I would much rather trust someone who I have gotten to know because then I know they really care about me, not an emotionless avatar over the internet who will tell me whatever >.<

See, but that's my point. It's easier to explain a problem to someone who doesn't know enough about you to judge you on a larger scale, than to explain to someone who knows you very well and therefore knows whether or not its characteristic of you.
