She rested her elbow on the bar and leaned her head on her hand.

"Thistle gulped down the food you gave her as fast as she did with that first batch. I don't know if she's the best pet to use as a judge on the food you make. But she sure does love it."

"Do you need help with finishing your other one? I'm sure you want to do it yourself, but maybe I could bring Thistle over and she could test it for you, or I can stir or something."

She laughed softly.

*laughs* Sorry, but I'm not too good at coming up with names.

I'm glad Thistle likes the food. What did you think? Did it look a little better than last time?

*takes a drink, thinking for a moment* Actually, I prefer to be alone when I'm working on a recipe. I usually lock Velcore out of the house too, so he won't get in my way.

Well, actually two bags. One to hold my kit and what ... 4 or 5 days worth of clothing changes and a pair of dress shoes? Plus the garment bag to hang a couple of my suits in. That, and a comfortable pair of walking shoes should be plenty, I would think.

*He ponders for a moment.* Yes, I believe I've driven by his estate a couple of times while I was on patrol. That place is quite impressive looking from the outside. I'll need a contact number to call when I get back.

*He yawns, then looks at his watch.* It's getting late, so I should probably should be heading off to bed. Though I DO have the day off and can "sleep in" ... *He nudges her with his elbow and gives her a sly grin* wink

*She grins as he nudges her and blushes slightly. She fondly remembers the last time they "slept in" and she takes his arm.* "Sleeping in" can be sooooo satisfying. wink

Amy smirked and nodded. "I'm alright with coming up with names if I do a web map and if I'm in a more creative mood."

"And yes, the food is a much better shade of green! It not only looks better, but it smells a lot better, too. It's more spicy than... well, whatever it was before."

She laughed softly and then continued. "You even lock Velcore out of the house? Wow. I guess you have to get into the zone for that. Well, whatever you have to do, keep doing it because your food is great. Do you think you'll be able to be ready by next Friday?"

{{I can pack 4 or 5 days worth of clothes plus pajamas, shoes, and an extra change of socks and underwear [habit I got from my mother... who always told me to pack extra socks and underwear for some reason] in a single duffel bag with no problem. Trying to fit that much in a backpack is a little more challenging, but I've done it before.}}

It's good to hear that you like the food better, even if Thistle doesn't care. smile

Yeah, well, if I don't, he tends to steal whatever I'm working on. stressed *studies the carbonation in his glass for a moment* Next Friday... I'll have something ready, at least. I might end up changing the recipe around later on though.

Amy tilted her head back and laughed. "Yeah, and if smell and looks are any indication, I'm sure it tastes better, too."

She tilted her head back down and smiled at Karrie. Her eyes were still glittering brightly with excitement. "And it sounds good to me. I don't care whatever you have ready for Friday. But Karrie, are you sure this all won't be too much for you? You have a lot to do already."

*He starts to escort her towards the office, still grinning and leaning down towards her a little* Yes, it can be at that. Heh heh ... Goodnight, everyone! *They go into the office and get through the security scans before they head on downstairs and to their quarters for the evening.* heart

Good night, Psyzapp and Dougherty. *smiles at Amy* Don't worry about me, I'm just working on the recipes. I haven't had the catering jobs I was doing before, so I'm going to send my catering staff to work for you. They already know how I like things done, so I don't have to train them or anything.

Amy waved to Psyzapp and Dougherty. "Have a good night, you two."

She looked back at Karrie, her head still resting on her hand. "I hope you'll still stop by frequently, though. I'd love to have you there."

Her smile grew and she sat up straight. She held out the sides of her skirt slightly. "Oh! I meant to ask you this before. Do you like my skirt, Karrie? I made it to look a little like a cupcake!"

Oh, I plan on it. *grins* From what Kits said, it should be fun.

*looks down at her skirt, noticing that it's a bit shorter than she normally wears. He smiles a bit, then quickly glances away* It looks... almost good enough to eat. *tries to keep a straight face, but after a moment bursts out laughing*
