With a second sableye dropping down, this one onto Allure's head, it was clearly time for Luna to get to work. Once again grabbing the glass flute in her teeth to keep it from being lost or damaged in the battle, Luna shifted to get down off of the purple lizard. Not without giving Allure a little help, though. Even as the spiriake thrashed about, Luna was still able to keep her footing well enough to channel some energy through her paws down into the larger pokemon. With a bit of energy left over to help out Argo if he got his feathered butt into gear in time, Luna jumped off before Allure slammed ito a group of crystals.

Ulani grinned and quickly led the way over to the glowing rock formations, specifically in the direction that Prim directed. The little squirrels’ eyes quickly scanned over the formations, trying to locate a suitable one to add to the growing collection of odd collectibles she and her friend were finding. She still had her hand with Prim’s and noticed when there seemed to be a jerk from her friend.
"Flower?" The Emolga asked, looking over just in time to see the hint of a claw apparently snatching a crystal away from Prim. "Eep!" The Emolga squeaked in surprise, quickly giving Prim a tug to try and draw her away from the creature. "Darkrai!" She chirped, both with a bit of fear and anger. She puffed out her cheeks, swallowing her fear for the moment as she remembered her promise to be the one to protect Prim this time around!
"Get away from pretty flower!" She snapped, noticing the gem in its claws. Was that what Prim had been going for? Had it taken it from her? Well, that was just rude! "And giver her back that shiny rock!" And just for good measure she let a spark of lightning fire out and zap the Sableye to show that she was serious!

Noah huffed at the Sableye, brow furrowing as it attempted to make a swat at him and Raf right after the Ivysaur had come to his assistance. "Thanks sheila," he huffed, though trying not to sound just a bit sour. You’d have thought after the balloon incident, the Dewott would’ve understood that working with someone was not something to be annoyed with. Still though, given the Sableye had snuck on him and nearly got the fitst swipe, his ego was a little bruised.
"What’sa matta mate? Yeh worried ‘bout yeh rockies there?" He inquired, noting that the pokemon seemed to be hovering over the stash. Well if the thing was going to be distracted over rocks, so be it! "Here!" Noah mocked, picking up a nearby gem and chucking it through the air at the creature. The moment it turned its head, trying to catch it, he lunged forth and snapped a shell across it’s cheek in a surprise attack. "Got’cha!"

Dice stared down at the fallen Sableye as it made its feeble attempt to jump him, his expression that of a child who was blankly unimpressed with whatever was being displayed before them. Clearly, this ghost didn’t know when to give up; maybe if it didn’t have gems for eyes it would’ve been able to better tell that the baby was not here for its shenanigans and that the ookie spookie attempts were just terrible.
Once more he balled up a small little fist before smashing it down on top of the fallen guardian’s head in a cartoonish manner, the ghost pokemon’s head someone how managing to smash a bit into the ground despite the fact that it should’ve been very well able to just phase to avoid that happened. The baby was still staring at it before perking up a bit as Cling yelled his name.
”Noodle!” He squeaked back, turning back to the Sableye he’d been facing alone. Right now, it was just twitching. One more good hit ought to put the darn thing down for good.

Samson chuckled in a deep old tone, and stood a little taller. "I appreciate the lie, Mr. Daemon," he said kindly enough. He looked up ahead, his brow furrowing as he looked into abyss that was the way ahead. "I tell you, if it wasn't for this darkness, we would be making better time. Believe it or not, running for me is far easier than this slow pacing. But with only seeing a few meters in front of us, it'd be hard to do it carefully..."
Nevertheless, Samson joined Daemon as they headed forward. As Daemon pointed out, the light that was shining ahead was now gone; and suscpiciously enough, as they got closer to where the light once was, Gail's scent was gone -no, different."Most peculiar," muttered the Arcanine. he took in big sniffs in the area, and when he brought his snout down towards ground level, he bumped it into something hard. But, it wasn't rocky; it was metal, with right angles. "Hm! Mr. Daemon, I've found something here!" Closer examination with some fire showed the the box had some sort of pipe that lead up to the ceiling, up in the dark. And the box had a symbol that Samson had seen before, one that had something to do with electricity. "It's one of those electrical boxes that humans have outside their houses, I think," Samson deduced. "I wonder..." Samson, without hesitation, filled his fangs with sparking electrical power, and sunk his teeth into the box. He got a nasty jolt, and his fur stood up straight for a good moment! But, a dull hum came through, and one by one, dull lights up above popped on here and there, some broken and others duller than others. The lights stretched up ahead, and made the ground easier to see.
"Ho ho! Now we're in business, Mr. Daemon!" Nearby, once covered in darkness but now in plain sight, was an odd device that Samson had scene once before, an EXP Share. "Ah ha! And a little gift for a little ingenuity." He grabbed hold of it with his teeth, and tucked it between his service Pokemon vest and his chest. "It's not much light, but it's enough for this old dog to stretch his legs again. Let's get moving!" And, with newfound vigor and renewed daring-do, Samson took off with a bound, down the dimly lit path.

Beltigre had taken off with abandon into the dark, but as she went, it only got darker and blacker and harder to see. "Aw, nuts." She focused on getting the bell on her chest to glow, but even then it wasn't enough to make a great amount of light. "Well, better than nothing, I guess..." She stepped further in, her steps slower than before. As she walked, the only sounds other than herself were the faint drips of water from the ceiling hitting the ground. She started to make a habit of dodging the drops when she could and hopping over the puddles. Making a game of it made the existential horror of being alone in the dark not so bad. "Stupid Beltigre," she muttered to herself. "Ya really goofed this up, falling behind like some Slowpoke!...I sure hope those idiots didn't get lost or killed or something. I mean, I'm still the leader, even if I'm alone...and lost...and kinda afraid..." She shook her head furiously. "Nope! Uh-uh! Dallas didn't raise no wimp!" She bravely (read:recklessly) darted off down the tunnel, if only to prove it to herself.

"You ready, Vivace?" Ai asked, tensing before springing after her teammates. A light glow surrounded her and Vivace, humming softly with energy. They traveled in a line, watching each others' backs as the giant crystal drew near.
All was going well, but then one sableye peeled itself off to attack. Thankfully it seemed to have missed the others. Ai summoned an orb of shadows, hovering in front of her as she moved. The great globe shielded her and Vivace from any forward attacks, and when they drew near she sent it shooting at the sableye, not giving it a moment to rest.

It was a good thing Chickpea was here, because the Sires Mogwai and Daphnes seemed really, really cool, and Dune was buzzing with excitement now that he wasn't so nervous. "Wow, w-we can be knights too?" Dune hoped it was okay that he couldn't hold a sword. Maybe one of those weapons Sire Daphnes mentioned was something that you didn't need hands to use?
And woah woah woah, they were- there were enemies here!? "O-oh!" Daphnes and Mogwai leaped immediately into battle, and Dune watched in awe. Woah, so cool! And- and they were gonna team up with Dune and Chickpea- those two thought him and Chickpea were real adventurers! Dune shook himself into focus- he had to help out too!

Vivace nodded her head, more than ready to go bounding through the room to get to a safer place, "I'm ready when you are!" Of course, there wasn't much for her to do, besides hold on tight as she could; it'd do no one any good for her to go rolling off of Ai and get left behind. She kept both stubs pressed against Ai's body, then hunkered down low to make herself a bit more wind resistant, anything to help keep her glue to the Espeon's back. At the same time she kept an eye out on the horde of Sableye, waiting in the shadows, and yet somehow managed to miss the one that jumped out at Dotty; thankfully, Radium was there to assist her!
One attack wasn't going to cut it, however, and the team quickly began piling on to a single individual. Vivace almost felt bad for the pokemon, almost; the fact that, even after Ai's attack, the Sableye kept on its feet kept her from seriously considering any sort of sympathy. Not wanting to give the ghost-gremlin a chance to gather itself and potentially attack one of them, the Togepi took a risk and made a swatting motion in the direction of the pokemon. As her arm descended down a massive surge of water shot out and smacked the Sableye in the gut, its wet impact reverberating throughout the cave and slamming it onto the ground.

Prim, who certainly wasn't a fan of having her items (she'd spotted the crystal first, so it was hers), especially when it was supposed to be a present for a friend, glared daggers at the Sableye, and was more than prepared to trade blows with the pokemon for said item. Thankfully, she didn't have to, at least not right then, as Ulani pulled her back and struck out against the pokemon. It reeled back with a screech, one claw rising up to protect its face while the other remained, stubbornly, wrapped around its precious. Prim, meanwhile, gave a silent cheer in praise of Ulani's actions, before adding in her own; she wasn't just about to let her friend fight this pokemon alone!
With a sharp twirl of her body, a vortex of petals exploded from the ground and began encircling her. She spun once, twice, and then once more to increase the speed at which the petals spun, before snapping her left arm out and pointing at the Sableye. Following the disruption of the vacuum, several of the petals shot out to slap the Sableye in the face, with enough force behind them to have the pokemon stumble.

Was it appropriate to use the term 'never in his wildest dreams'? Because, technically, this was a dream they were in, and... it was pretty wild. But! He couldn't have ever imagined himself to be meeting not one, but two knights! It was so super cool, amazing even! It didn't even matter that he didn't know what knights were, the title alone sounded super cool. And, from what Sir Daphnes had mentioned, they even got to use weapons, a whole bunch of different kinds! Chickpea bobbed his head eagerly, showing just how pleased he was to become a knight with Dune; now they were adventurers and knights! And, even though they were two sides of the same coin, they had different titles, so it worked out.
This day was just getting better and better, and nothing was going to bring his mood down! Not even a sudden attack from a weird, purple pokemon! It sort of reminded Chickpea of the balloon he and Dune and defeated, back in the forest, and just like with that one, when he saw an opening the Chikorita didn't hesitate to attack. He jerked his head forward again, releasing several sharpened leaves, though these just so happened to catch the light of the crystal as they spun through the air and glowed soft hues of pink and purple, unnatural for the vegetation. Pretty as they were, they weren't any less deadly and cut into the skin of the Sableye, two even finding a new home in the pokemon's haunches while the rest drifted to the ground, where they caught the light again and shone brightly amongst the crystals.

Argo's feathers were rustled as the ivysaur opened her stupid mouth again. She had no idea what she was talking about. Sableye had nothing to give in exchange for crystals in the first place. They weren't a market! Before he could voice his distaste, the ivysaur went off to help the dewott against a sableye. As well as some sableye crawling around on his ride. Argo squawked and left his perch to hover over the situation. Luna was actually still managing to do a good job with her given task. At least that was satisfactory. He circled above for now, looking for an opening.

Despite the group's effort to be quiet, it seemed their presence was already known, judging by the sinister laughter they could hear up ahead. Before any of them could say something, however, their very own cuddle bat zipped ahead towards the pretty crystals that had come into view, looking to claim a small one herself. The sableye weren't for sharing, though, and were quick to surround the noibat. As much as he wanted to help keep her safe, he hesitated. He was still unsure of his abilities in combat, but at least this time it seemed like they were all together in this fight. The sableye were already proving to be more tough than the previous drifloon. While Daiki tried to shake off his hesitance, Shade and Fi had already stepped in with their attacks. "Here goes..." he mumbled to himself before joining in the fight, slashing out at the sableye with his claws. Even after he got his attack in before stepping back, his fur seemed to crackle a bit with dark energy. Not that he realized it, but it was almost as if he was using more power than he needed to.

Ammy was readying another volley of attacks as Gail dashed in, fighting defensively. The glaceon's moves may not have made the sableye take any damage, but it did cause Ammy to have another perfect opening to launch another two attacks. The lupup jumped forward again, launching two quick bursts from her mouth at sableye as it lay prone on the ground. It looked like it was almost down, so maybe they'd soon be able to get past it.

Dotty couldn't help but chuckle at Radium's pleased surprise from what was perhaps her first experience levitating off of the ground. Dotty had never really been grounded herself since it would be hard to get around and her protective gelatin would just get dirty from rolling about, but she imagined that flying for the first time was quite the experience.
She was distracted by these thoughts until Radium shouted a warning, a little louder than intended. While it helped to knock the sableye from it's perch and prevented it from attacking Dotty, it also caused the duosion to lose focus on carrying Radium. The telekinetic energy around the pichu seemed to suddenly sputter and disappear altogether, causing her to fall into the cavernous floor below. "Waa! S-sorry Radium!" Thankfully Dotty hadn't been carrying her very high, but getting dropped from midair all of a sudden surely wasn't a pleasant experience.
Thankfully Piper swooped in (quite literally) with a dragon pulse to keep the sableye from potentially attacking Radium while she was down, and just like that, they were working as a team as Ai jumped into the fray by shooting the gem pokemon with a shadow ball and Vivace threw in a water pulse. For a moment, Dotty was somewhat transfixed by all the action going on around her. They were all doing so well, and she was somewhat taking a back seat on things by quietly cheering them on.
When Vivace's wave of water had died down, Dotty honestly thought that the dark ghost was finished as it lay there, soaking and dazed on the ground. "That was amazing you guys!" She cheered. However, in the corner of her eye, she noticed movement. It seemed that, in spite of the onslaught of attacks (which should have decimated the sableye under normal circumstances in Dotty's opinion), the gem covered pokemon once again had gotten to it's feet and lurched forward. Being on it's last legs and cornered probably sent it into a frenzy. "No!" Not wanting the sableye to hurt her new friends, Dotty surged forward with surprising speed and called down another bolt of lightning, which blasted the sableye with electricity and seemed to electrify the crystals around it, making them glow and hum faintly with energy. With that, the sableye seemed to go down for good this time, and Dotty breathed a sigh of relief.
