Nannog's singing provided a nice atmosphere in the otherwise snowy silence (aside from the podlings' rattling leaves, and the shouts of the distant competitors). Kerras matched their steps to the music of the beating, and moments later they found themselves humming along. As the tealblood finished the verse, they found their interest piqued. Things were really heating up on the field, amusing for a cold place such as this. The adult orangeblood decided to play a little more defensively, but wasn't finding it to be easy. At some point, she realized, she would have to make a swing, but the opportunity was just not presenting itself. Should she play for an opening? Or try to encourage Pennie to close their own?

An existential question, indeed!
