((I was having fun ~ RL keeps me away from here more often than not, so when I have a chance, I post. Thus making Brat a bit player as it were. Most of the RPs I've participated in on Gaia (not just in this guild) have been of this hybrid sort, taking in to account we all have RL things to attend to. It's why I haven't attempted to join some of the RP guilds, I don't have time and can't expect everyone else to wait for me. Because we RP this way, we learn to interact and improvise to fit the storyline going on around us. Yes, I have characters I'd like to develop more fully, too, including the Stargazer ~ Ghost of Lily connection. The idea has been floating in my head for quite some time and a few opportunities were offered up to bring these two characters in to play. Ghost's trip to Italy is part of another storyline that just happens to tie nicely to this one. And I offered up her assistance before just jumping in. If that seems to have created a massive amount of stress for anyone, it would be nice if I were told that, via PM and not in the forum.))

{{If you want a "formal" roleplay, go back to the roleplay forum. This is casual stuff. Most of us are generally new to roleplay, and some of us who aren't [such as dame] simply enjoy the casualness of it as a way to just relax and have fun. If you're not having fun, then leave. I don't see any reason why we should have to change the entire system we've been working with for several months which none of us have previously had much problem with just because -you- aren't content with just coming in to the bar and having a drink.
You always have to go out and have action and kill things, but that just isn't what we do around here at all times. Sometimes all we do is sit around and chat without any real plot going because we don't feel like having one and our current system allows for that.
It isn't your place here to dictate how things should be run or what rules should be in place or what world this is all happening on. We take things as they come and most things are completely improvised. If you can't handle that because you want to feel some sort of sense of control and order, then maybe you're in the wrong place.}}

<<< @ Brat: I spoke with key players involved in this arc about participating in it. I love how people just assume I'm here to cause chaos. As I said before: I have done nothing clearly wrong here. The worst one could argue is my entry into Switzerland, which I did with collaboration with key players involved in this arc. Contrary to popular belief, I don't just do as I please when I see fit, and it's usually quite the contrary. Go ahead and ask the key players in this arc that are not Katana, who has no idea what's going on.

I believe my behavior across the lifetime of this thread demonstrates the demands on my time and how I don't always want something going on that I have to 'work on'. I've been taken away by many an issue and returned to do small things, and then a big thing to amuse myself, if nothing else.
I am a perfectionist in my writing, and I have let everything go until this point. I have based my interaction in this world upon the concept that we were where Bassken Lake and Barton Town are, in a world with much to work with. This is why I was so brazen as to hatch the Imprisoning War - a move to provide some new history to what I perceive to be an otherwise bland place. My entire storyline revolves around that war and the events therein. That war could not take place in this world, thusly nullifying not only the event, but all that chained from it.
I am upset because I feel like the essence of the character I've built with my friends may very easily be destroyed, if not rendered anachronistic and ignored. Had I the proper background information on which to base my writing, there would be no issue. I'm not asking everyone to drop what the hell they're doing and conform to my demands. I am no tyrant, and this isn't even my thread. What I'm asking for, again, is the world, the context in which we write. I can't very well go to a continent that isn't on the globe of IRL Earth if it's not there. Gaia has no such conclusive map, and, as such, can be exploited almost limitlessly. I need to know the confines win which I am expected to operate. Can I use red pen? Can I use paint? Can I use machinegun fire to create my art? Do you see what I'm getting at? Not everything is compatible, and I wish to remain compatible, but no one wants to give me the basis with which I can do so. This is not a fun thing. Nor is being attacked and badgered and slandered for things I have no right to be accused of because I quite frankly have no relation to said accusations. This entire ordeal has gotten rediculous. >>>

Actually, I was wondering if anyone here had heard anything from Dame. She told me she was leaving a few days ago, and I haven't heard anything about her since. I'm sort of worried... I know that Icy's been gone, as well. Since they left for their snipe hunt, unless she came back while I was gone.

My idea of a grand adventure isn't going off on some harrowing tale that will test my courage and fortitude or have a life and death struggle to preserve something or other or create something. My idea of adventure and fun is simply trying to have an emotional connection with the people behind their characters so the actions and storyline I take part in may be boring to some, but that's just how I'm bent 3nodding ))

Just so you know, Exor... everyone was having fun with the system and storyline until you came along. You say you don't make specific demands and requests, and yet you are and that's what's putting a damper on the entire thing. It's not the rules or lack thereof, or the "foundation", or the setting... it's you.
If you don't always want something going on that you have to "work on", then just come into the bar and have a drink and chat. I've seen you complain OOC about having something to "work on" for your story plots by far more times than I've seen you actually talk to people in character. And yet, you try to act like your character and the people here are some sort of "family" or "best friends" when hardly anyone here even knows your character because you're never here. And by "never here", I'm not just talking about when you leave because of real life stuff. I'm also referring to the fact that you hardly ever just talk to people without causing some kind of issue in the process.
You've tried to, and threatened to, destroy this place more times than you've tried to save it simply because you were mad at the world and don't know how to cope with it.
It has already been said and assumed that the setting is a combination of Gaia and real life. Don't think it can work? It has been working for several months. If you don't think something would fit into this particular world, then say it took place somewhere else. No one cares. Tes and Ryzan are from a completely different world and no one questions it because it really doesn't matter that much. Hell... Draa is a grunny turned dark elf. How in the hell does that even make sense? It doesn't. You know why? Because it doesn't have to.
If you want a "perfect story", completely free of inconsistencies with clear background, setting, characters, plot, and what-have-you, done in a manner in which seems completely logical to your idea of perfection, then write a book. We don't come here to put up with your s**t.}}
