((From what I understand, we are in Gaia, but it mirrors RL locations at times. The timeline is relative, because honestly, IRL, you don't wait five to ten minutes for the next person to talk in a conversation.))

(( 1. You're jumping into a storyline w/out being written in, as the others are. 2. You always seem to have this insane need to take over a storyline and make it your own, when this time, it's essentially Icy's storyline....have you bothered keeping up or talked w/her about it? 3. Locales are irrelevant if that's what the person who's story it is wants. 4. Who's to say there aren't magic races in the real world? Gaia could just be a locale somewhere on this huge rock we call Earth. 5. If you think the creativity is limited, then why are you bothering with it? 6. If it's not your storyline, you don't have a damn thing to do w/the setting. 7. Personally, I take issue w/you slamming our story, sorry it's not up to your caliber of RP that you're used to....but if it's so bad, why do you bother?
You've already written me off as a b***h...so I'm not too concerned about what you think about my comments here. wink ))

((Sheesh, I was cleared to take the 9 hr down to 4 hr flight and 2.5 hr drive from a 4.5 hr flight to keep it moving. IRL keeps me from posting on the exact matching RL time to keep it REAL. Funny, living in different timezones from the other players does the same thing. Afraid I can't just quit my RL job and stay glued to my comp to make a storyline run on exact time lines.))

((Wait a minute. What is so wrong about making RL reference to places to have an international flavor to a story line? Just because we don't have an entire fantasy-land make believe setting here with unicorns and leprechauns (except for TES wink ) it's bogus?
This is a action drama story of an international flavor. It reminds me a bit of "Mission Impossible" or something along those lines. We in GGG town just happen to have other beings and such with abilities and I don't have a problem mixing the two. *Shrugs.*
Frankly, RL setting references are a little easier for me seeing as I can do some research to speak intelligently. This forum isn't a formal RP setting. It never has been. The idea here is for people to have some fun. ))

((Yes, let's do take a poll.
Has this bothered anyone else RPing here? This being mixing Gaia and the Real World?
My vote: Nay.
If people feel too uncomfortable to get involved publicly but would still like to vote, PM me and I will make it a poll in my EE thread.
Thank you.

(( rolleyes *sighs* This is a casual or "Hybrid" RP thread. I just try to play along with what ever the storyline is at hand. Some of the scenes are taken to other threads to convey that the action is away from MW, perhaps at the apartments, perhaps in other countries. These other threads do not necessarily follow the timeline that is conveyed here at MW. I may not follow some of the other threads as closely as this one, but I am OK with the obscure timelines and retro posting. ))
*He walks into MW and surveys the place as he heads over to the bar. He grabs a shot glass and the bottle of MW's finest scotch whiskey from the top shelf. He has a seat on the end bar stool and pours himself shot. He slams it back and pours himself another.*

<<< So you'll understand when I completely ignore you.
For everybody else who might actually care and not be a b***h, I'll answer the list above 3nodding
1. It's a free world, is it not? And I waited for a plausible opportunity to join in what I think is an exciting story. I was going to launch my own private story line on the same day, but I diferred to the MW Ladies out of respect. 2. Your poor perception speaks volumes of you, Katana. I'm well aware this isn't mine. This is why I deferred and waited until an appropriate time to try and join. I didn't go to Jamaica, now, did I? It doesn't take a half a brain to see that I'm being respectful in this and that I have been keeping up on it and that I have been speaking to Icy about it. Where I take issue is that when I requested permission to post, there were already posts done that defined the future - a future without me in it. This irritates me because, instead of being able to post when I have the want and time, I am forced to wait for some illusory time period. With the chapter of my life that just came to a close, I couldn't predict free time or chaos time. Sue me for trying to get involved with something with my friends in order to enrich the overall story and to keep my mind from dwelling on things it would be better off ignoring. 3. Locales may be irrelevant, but the basis of the world is. Karrie thought we were on Gaia, as did I. Gaia affords limitless customization and freedom of creativity. If we're on Earth and things are 'real' then nearly all of that creativity is destroyed. 4. I already addressed the first point because I knew you'd ask. If Gaia is a locale and some of us think it's the world, I don't have to paint the degree of difference, then, do I? 5. See above. 6. I'm not questioning the setting. I'm questioning the foundation. It's like asking "Is this steel or is this concrete?" The difference in the foundation affects everything built upon it, and I would say it would be more conducive if we're all on the same foundation: Fictional Gaia, or IRL Earth. 7. I didn't slam your story, so I ignore your issue. >>>

{{I'm not siding with anyone here b/c I can actually see it from both sides. As far as the RL timeline thing, I have gotten confused on it as well, but that's my own thing. I've asked a few people and got it sorted out for myself. It's never been that big of deal for me. But maybe what Exor is saying, or what it sounds like to me, is that he doesn't think it was fair for his request to make his posts faster was denied because of continuity issues, but it's okay for other people to do it if it helps them. I could be wrong, but that's how I'm reading it. Basically, if other people could end up doing it, why couldn't he? Again, not taking sides! Just saying what I think it sounds like.}}

((NOBODY denied him to make his posts......just as NOBODY wrote his character into the storyline...as Icy did w/Psyzapp and dame did w/Kat.....I just don't think you should insinuate yourself into a story b/c you think you can make it "richer" if no one has invited you to do so. ))

<<< Katana, I care what you think because...?
A particular key player in this arc told me I couldn't post because "They weren't there yet" or "I should be more hours behind them" or whatever reason else. In light of this, I wrote up the first two posts, the one about the train station and the bike and the one about the farmhouse, and PM'd them to them along with the request to post them when appropriate because I wasn't sure I'd be around to do so.
This illustrates that I was trying to keep everyone happy and do what I could to let things go as they were intended. This did not happen, and, as such, I lost the in I wanted for the character development I wanted.
I was allowed to join Most WANTED just as freely as anyone else. I have goals for my character and things I want him to do, and I have the right to persue them just as much as anybody else does. Granted, not all of them can be taken care of all the time, if at all - I'm a realist, not some fool - I should like to take care of the important ones if it's not outside the realm of possibility.
I have caused no foul here, and I am calling for a formal basis to be put on the world in which we operate. Who are you to question me, Katana?
As far as IRL locales are concerned, good, more power to the writer, etc. It's your creative jaunt, do it to it. All I'm asking for is a basic outline of the world, the basis, the very dimension of writing here. I want to be able to post when I can, and cite the fact that RP is imperfect and you cannot make the future before getting through the present. This is my issue. >>>

((I can only post when RL allows me to be able to. Isn't this the way everyone here works? People have families, RL jobs and such to work around, correct?
Yes, I'm finding that RP is imperfect and this is really all just improvisational for all of us to be able to have fun and create a story people are interested in participating in. I'm having fun and I hope the rest of you are as well.))

<<< This is the very nature of what I'm saying, Psy.
Because you have some picture perfect outcome going on, you can't write that outcome and then work up to it - that denies the rest of the players in the story their right to participate!
My only other irritation is the lack of a clear answer as to where we are operating so that I may act intelligently, as it was said earlier. >>>

((Exor, Katana's right to question you is the same as yours to question anyone in this RP. We all contribute, it's not just up to one person. She's answering your questions the way she sees it. If you don't like it, deal with it. She does have a point that it's not your storyline, and you did pretty much just jump into it.))
