Yes, it's very post-modern and cheeky, but Doctor-Who-meets-a-modern-Carry-On-Film is not an edgy, adult version of Doctor Who.

An edgy version of Doctor Who seems wrong and I quite liked the camp Carry On theme. Anything trying to be edgy is going to fail because nothing we can produce will match the production levels of BSG. I'd rather have something cheesy with double entendres. XD

O_o Wow. You revived the thread exactly a year later.

Okay, I'm quite annoyed with RTD's (Russell T Davies) plans for Torchwood because I can't see how they'll work. He has the next series mapped out and along as this bombshell of a mini series gets a good review the BBC will give a go ahead to have the next series filmed but RTD also has planned Torchwood for another six years ahead!

I find that if they wanted to finish Torchwood, that mini series would have been best as the finish.
