It seemed Piper was having similar issues of locating the source of the noise as the two psychics with their senses, though she attributed this to the cave's echo. There was one thing they could all agree on though, and that was to be careful.
Especially when the cave seemed to be getting overrun with crystals. It would have seemed natural, except something told Dotty it was suspicious. Not to mention there was a giant crystal where the end of this floor seemed to be. "Yeah, that's one big rock..." She agreed, but though they were careful to avoid the crystals, suddenly the source of the strange noises and shapes made themselves apparent—Sableye.
"Drat. I should have known..." Dotty frowned. Ghost and dark types, neither were a favorable match up for psychics, but battling in the dream world seemed to have different rules, so maybe they still stood a chance. Ai suggested that they charge through quickly and try not to touch the crystals so that they didn't provoke the sableye any further. "Alright. You and I can levitate, Piper can fly, and we can help Vivace and Radium float over the crystals as well. Let's go!" With that, Dotty helped lift Radium up off of the ground and made a beeline for the exit.

Though the small bat didn't quite find the joke funny due to a lack of understanding, she was still insisting on braiding his hair. How could he say no to a little cutie like that? "Of course you can still braid my hair." he smiled, completely open to the idea of letting her do his hair up in braids. It wouldn't really be the first time its been done to him. He felt warmed up as Fifi reinforced her compliment towards him. Daiki had a bit of a goofy grin on his face because of it, but decided to keep his mouth shut for now. After all, he knew that it was his mouth that got him in the most trouble.
As Shade rejoined and the group made the decision to continue onwards with caution, while keeping an eye out for Beltigre, the Zoroark moved along with the group. His golden eyes squinted through the darkness ahead, though his ears swiveled back a bit as he caught the sound of Xiao trying to whisper to Shade. He stifled a chuckle, ears returning to an alert position on his head as he heard some suspicious sounds on the path before them. He could make out many shiny crystals glinting about. As well as some that seemed to be eyes. "Let's try to stick together this time." he suggested quietly to the other team members, feeling his fur bristling a bit.

Xiao Lan tilted her head as she felt a warm and familiar presence trying to tell her something. She seemed receptive though she didn't quite understand what was going on, allowing Shade's impressions to convey their message. It was time to be quiet, and the little noibat nodded, doing just that and following Shade as stealthily as she could; based on the way the chengshen had conveyed it at least.
It was then that she heard laughter. Where, it was hard to say, but it seemed she wasn't the only one who had heard it, because Fianna spoke up about having company and being on guard. Did that mean they were going to have to fight something again? Xiao Lan couldn't help but feel a little nervous about that. The atmosphere was just so creepy!
However, up ahead Fianna's fire was reflected by a colorful surface, and Xiao Lan gasped quietly as she saw the whole cavern was covered with pretty crystals. She zoomed forward, eager to grab one and forgetting all about the need to exercise caution. "Wow! Look how pretty!" She chirped, just after Fianna's warning not to touch anything. It was too late though, she had wrapped her claws around a chunk of the stone and in an instant, gleaming eyes and viscous smiles appeared all around her. "Uwuhhhh....!" Xiao Lan clung to her new treasure in fright, glancing around in a slight panic. "I-I'm sorry, but you have so many! Can't I have this little one? You won't even notice that it's gone..." She pleaded quietly with them.

Rafflesia chuckled as Allure dodged the accusation by insisting they had the drifloon handled. Technically, they did, and Allure was right. The drifloon, while stronger than one might expect, were still pretty weak all things considered. "Alright, alright, but we still probably aught to try and stick together." She conceded.
With all the passengers back amidst her spines, Allure surged forward, and eventually they came upon rows and rows of crystals, which immediately set off alarm bells in Raff's head, especially considering that they had a greedy little rat in their midst. Of course, the puffed up feather brain seemed to take mild offense to her pointed comment not to touch the stones given that they had no value. "I don't give two shits about their market value. You just seem to have a habit of going after anything shiny that catches your eye." She reasoned. "Besides, they aren't worthless if you know your market, and judging by our market, I'd say these crystals are priceless." She nodded to the sableye who had started popping up. "I think we found the next guardian."
Allure seemed to have an epiphany as she caught on. Thankfully, now that they knew their next enemy, they could go and dispatch the damn things—something Noah started in on right away. She chuckled as he made a swipe for a sableye that surprised him and made him tumble off of Allure's back. "Hang on bluey, I got ya." She shook her head with a smile and slid off Allure as well, waddling over to Noah's side and giving the sableye a fierce smack with her power whip. Unfortunately, the gem fanatic didn't go down as easily as the drifloon, recovering from the blow and hissing at them both angrily.

Ammy yipped playfully as Gail bumped against her gently, offering to race her. "You're on!" she accepted the challenge, charging forward with reckless abandon. Gail's longer stride kept her in the lead, however. That was until there was some movement in the shadows around them that caused Gail to skid to a halt. Ammy's little legs were finally catching up real fast now that the Glaceon had stopped. The Lupup didn't even hesitate as Gail darted out in front of her, offering another boost like last time they fought a strange pokemon. "Let's goooooo!" she barked enthusiastically, jumping up on Gail's back to get the boost. She then was able to get to the source of the gleaming red eyes faster, her maw open and ready to clamp down. Ammy collided with the Sableye, biting down as hard as she can before she was shaken off. However, possibly emboldened by having her friend there with her in the fight, she wasn't done attacking yet. The lupup opened her jaws to unleash a firey stream at the sableye that lit up the cavern.

A big rip in the side of the drifloon spelled its demise. As the ghostly balloon dissolved into dark smoke, it lost its grip on the torracat. Luckily, Beltigre's quick thinking saved her from finding out any mysteries about dying in a dream world. The fire type was finally free to move on.
Okay, now the sableye was starting to get dizzy. The ghost decided to try and pounce on the baby cubone in an attempt to end the fight before it got out of hand. Unfortunately, repeated blows to the head have a tendency to cause disorientation, and the sableye hit the ground face-first about a foot in front of Dice. It was still blocking the baby cubone's way, but it was stuck having to get back to its feet.
Cling vs. Guardian Sableye 2 HP 3/5
That didn't work. When the sableye tried to grab onto the strange flying snake thing, the black creature just whapped it with its tail. Again. Now the weird ghost was shuddering as water dripped off its chest. Once again the sableye went for Cling, but this time it pounced in an attempt to pin the creature to the ground. Not that it was likely to actually catch the thing...
Noah and Rafflesia vs. Guardian Sableye 3 HP 3/5
Between being knocked away with a tail and swatted by a vine, the sableye was pretty peeved. The strange ghost hissed at Noah and Rafflesia and swiped a claw at the air between them. Although, it didn't actually make any move to close in on the group, and instead was more keen on hovering around a particular quartz formation with wispy grey inclusions. Unfortunately, that little grouping of crystals was in the group's way.
Gail and Ammy vs. Guardian Sableye 4 HP 3/5
The sableye let out a loud hiss as Ammy's teeth sunk in its shoulder. Swinging wildly, the ghost moved this way and that until the lupup was forced off of it. Unfortunately, that just meant the white pup could shoot a stream of fire at the strange pokemon. The sableye let out a loud yell, both from the pain the fire caused and by the sudden brightness in the cavern.
In the end Raf agreed with Allure. The dragon felt no more qualms about the ordeal, but the Ivysaur ahd a point. "I believe that would be for the best." She voiced. That settled, the group started forward, and from mirror walls to talk of containing one's greed and the value of the crystals, Sableye did appear. It was no longer time for bickering. As before the dragon readied herself for a bout, only to find one of her passengers startled off of her by a Sableye that appeared before him. Raf was quick to join the otter. "Damnable things." The dragon hissed, raising a tail to smack the Sableye as well, only for one to fall from the ceiling onto her head. "Argh!" The dragon growled, shaking her head. She could feel the filthy cretin scratching at her horns, likely trying to snatch the gem caught in the spiraled bone. "Get off of me!" She growled even louder. Despite how much she shook, the Sableye didn't release it's grip. Was it now touching her gem? Oh hell no. "Giratina damn you, don't you dare touch that!" She shouted, this time she turned her head side way ,and rammed it into a nearby crystal cluster. Raf's warning be damned no one was allowed to touch that gem. "Now get off!" With one more snap of her head the ghost was flung free, Allure opened her maw wide releasing a burst sound waves. Needless to say she'd made her point to the Sableye, her gem was off limits.

Giving a smile to his fellow knight, the dragon was glad to hear he was in kinder hands. Daphnes himself was thankful for Temperance, if only because the human had yet to treat him differently than any other on her team. Content with this fact, the dragon continued to walk alongside Mogwai. Though not long after did they come across a voice, quickly claimed by a Chikorita. The grass-type introduced itself as Chickpea, and was quickly joined by a different Pokemon, one Daphnes.. could not recognize. Perhaps it was the large birdlike wings on it's back, or the series of blue hues that covered it's body.. he just couldn't quite put a claw on the name of which the human gave this one. Pulled from his thoughts, Mogwai introduced himself with the title Daphnes had given him, which seemed to excite Chickpea some. When the grass-type asked Daphnes if he was also a knight the Bagon gave a sharp nod. "Aye, I am Sire Daphnes." Daphnes replied.
When Mogwai posed, so did Daphnes. The dragon stood up straight, holding up his stick like a sword as Mogwai had. The bear then asked if Chickpea would care for help, to which the Chikorita seemed to accept his offer. "Adventures, well- oh! That's right. Knights can be adventures also." Daphnes explained, giving a stout nod. Turning to Mogwai, the dragon held up his stick. "I recall now, Temperance mentioning weapons of which she'd trained with. She called one a Mace, one a Lance and one a Bow, to which she shot arrows from." None of these items Daphnes new all to much about, well.... he knew nothing about them save for how Temperance described them.
Of course Daphnes would of went on to explain a bit more about those said weapons, if not for a chilling breeze hadn't caught his spine. Followed by a series of chuckles, the Bagon was forced to turn his gaze to their front. Along the walls Crystals had formed and not far beyond that a giant crystal rested at the center. Had that always been there? The dragon did not recall seeing crystals the last they faced forward, but then again this place was not normal. As if to add to his disdain for this place, a gem-eyed creature popped out of seemingly nowhere and began to eerily walk towards the group. "Aye, you'll not get the drop on us, foe!" Daphnes growled, waving his stick forward to hold it out like a sword. Pushing forward, the tiny dragon picked up speed relatively quick and though his sword missed, his body didn't. The ghost, which normally would of simply phased through his attack was struck... much like the Drifloon when it came to Mogwai's attack. Even still, the ghost seemed quick to recover, once more advancing upon the group.

Radium's gaze was stolen by the sight of the giant crystal that loomed ahead of the team. Everyone seemed in agreement that the crystal was gorgeous, but where there was beauty an ugly truth rested just beyond, and their ugly truth was a horde of Sableye. Radium hugged her stick tightly as the ghosts started to emerge, but thank fully with Ai on their side, the level-headed Espeon found their escape route. Firming herself up, Radium told herself she couldn't be scared anymore. She saw her foe, and this time she wasn't going to rush ahead or get scared. No, she was going to- "Woah~" Suddenly she was lifted in to the air, thanks to Dotty's psychic powers. It took her but a moment to realize what was going on. They were going straight for the exit, Sableye be damned. But then, Radium saw it from her gaze a Sableye was ready to pounce upon Dotty as she passed under it. "Dotty look out!" The mouse warned, Unknowingly sending out a loud sound wave, which thankfully knocked the Sableye from it's perch just before it managed to launch itself. The ghost however was quick to recover and not to happy about being knocked from the crystal.

What a strange place… Mystery Dungeon Who are you people? Radium, Dotty, Ai, Vivace
☆ ☆【Piper maintained a relatively steady pace as their team pressed onwards through the crystal-coated cave, doing her best to not touch them as best she could out of fear of what could happen if she did while also making sure to not get too far ahead of the group. The light from Radium’s torch caught on the gems as they passed through, making them glisten in an almost tempting manner. Still, the Noivern kept her eyes ahead of them, intent on not distracting herself by trying to grab one of the crystals. Gradually the tunnel before them began widening, opening up into a very roomy room that was also covered from wall to wall with the same crystals from before. However, what drew Piper’s attention the most was the enormous gem that sat in the center of it all, glistening like a big beacon that gave off a good bit of light to let them see. The Noivern nodded in agreement with Ai’s statement about the crystal being beautiful, even though the Espeon didn’t seem to realize that she had said it out loud. Dotty agreed as well, remarking on the sheer size of the shiny rock. However, the moment hardly lasted when the dragon caught sight of the same thing Ai had seen, dozens upon dozens of shadowy creatures were crawling all over the giant crystal, their laughter and hissing filling the room as some dropped down to face against parties of Pokemon that were pushing through. Sableye… she should’ve known that with this place being a crystal cave these things would be in abundance here given their love of gems and shinies in general.
Dotty wasn’t the least bit pleased upon this revelation, which Piper couldn’t blame her for given that a Sableye’s dual Ghost and Dark typing made a less than ideal matchup for a Psychic-type like herself. However, from what they had seen before with the Drifloon, combat here in the dream world seemed to have much different rules as opposed to reality. Of course, ideally they would likely want to try to avoid getting into a scuffle if it could be helped, but the Noivern felt confident they would be able to hold their own as long as they stuck together and didn’t let themselves get separated if Sableye tried to jump them. ”R-Right…” she agreed as Ai stated that they had to go through them, suggesting that hopefully most of the ghosts would ignore them if they didn’t touch anything. She followed the Espeon’s direction as she pointed out what looked like the entrance of another tunnel across the room from where they stood. Yeah, that definitely looked like the way they had to go, now it was just a matter of actually getting there. ”A-Alright, let’s go then, a-and try to s-stick together,” Piper agreed with Ai’s statement that they should move quickly to avoid getting surrounded. Dotty gladly took up the idea, suggesting that both she and Ai could levitate and carrying Radium and Vivace with them while the Noivern herself would fly.
With that plan in mind, Dotty lifted Radium up with telekinesis and shot out of the tunnel into the room like a bullet, barreling right for the exit with the little mouse in tow. At the same time, Piper spread her wings and took to the air, following after them as she did her best to keep an eye on both her teammates and on the Sableye hanging around on the giant crystal nearby. To her relief the characteristic crimson glow from Dotty’s aura combined with the firelight from Radium’s torch made it fairly easy to track them, it was the Sableye she was far more worried about even though the majority seemed to be ignoring them like Ai had predicted. To their misfortune, however, it seemed that getting to the exit wasn’t as easy as they thought it to be as Piper caught sight of one of the Sableye turning its attention towards them. Or, more specifically, towards Dotty and Radium who were running below the giant crystal. Hissing and baring its claws, the gem-eating ghost lowered itself into position in preparation to pounce on top of the Duosion just as she passed underneath. Thankfully, Radium noticed it and called for Dotty to watch out, unleashing a wave of loud sound that struck the Sableye and knocked it down from the crystal before it could try to attack. Good, good! So far so good!
However, it seemed the ghost wasn’t down for the count just yet as it recovered quickly and got back to its feet, snarling and baring its teeth as it made to dash after the two on the ground. Like hell Piper was going to let that happen. The Noivern banked sharply and dove towards the ground, bright golden eyes trained on the Sableye like the crosshairs of a gun about to fire as she drew closer and closer. ”Stay away from them!” she shouted in a firm tone, her voice for once losing its characteristic shakiness as a strange sort of confidence took root in her. She wasn’t about to let it try to harm her friends, not if she could do anything about it. Opening her maw wide, she unleashed a bright purple and blue beam as she passed over, the stream of energy shrieking as it shot towards the Sableye and struck home. With a scream of pain and annoyance, the ghost was sent back a good few feet or so from the force of the pulsing blast. Growling angrily and shaking itself off, it clambered back to its feet again, clearly wounded but not down for the count just yet. Thankfully that should hold it off for a few seconds to allow Dotty and Radium to get some more distance between it and them, and hopefully Ai and Vivace weren’t too far behind either… Piper spared a glance over her shoulder to keep an eye out for their two remaining teammates as she ascended a little higher into the air, prepared to swoop in to drive off any more Sableye that might try to jump in and cut them off from the rest of the group. Whatever happened, Piper was determined to make sure they stayed together even in the midst of the growing chaos as more and more Pokemon filtered in and found themselves being engaged by the horde of ghosts.】☆ ☆

A new place… Mystery Dungeon Mogwai spies a new friend! Daphnes, Chickpea, Dune
☆ ☆【Mogwai reflected the smile Daphnes gave him as the Bewear told him that he was much happier with Aiden now, continuing onwards with his fellow knight at his side. Overall, he was just glad that after enduring a kind of literal hell on Earth for a seemingly innumerable amount of time, things were finally looking on the up and up after being saved and taken in by a kindly young man. Even though Mogwai was still getting to really know his new trainer, he had no doubts that Aiden would surely treat him very well. He wondered what Aiden would think when he got back and announced to him that he was officially a knight now, that would be some pretty exciting news to share and surely his trainer would be quite proud of him! His excitement and enthusiasm returning to him, Mogwai walked alongside Daphnes as he noticed something cutting through the darkness ahead of them… something much different than the glowing plants that were still lighting their way. Before he could proceed forward to further investigate, their attention was drawn towards a voice sounding from somewhere in the cave behind them. Moments later after Mogwai called back, the owner of the voice toddled into view and revealed themselves to be a Chikorita named Chickpea, the exact person who had been calling out to them earlier.
Both excited and curious at the arrival of yet another Pokemon, the Bewear bent down a little to get a better look at Chickpea as he came closer, catching wind of the green leaf dinosaur’s grassy scent and immediately identifying his type. Mogwai smiled as the Chikorita thanked him when he complimented on his rather nice scent, glancing up as yet another Pokemon came bounding from the way they’d come. This one the Bewear didn’t recognize at all, though its large feathery wings and striking blue on black patterning was quite a beautiful sight to behold. ”Puuuureeeettyyyyyy…” he remarked as he leaned in a touch closer to get a better look at the strange Pokemon, unsure of what typing it was though the size of its wings could easily make it a Flying-type if anything. Mogwai’s ears perked up as the new Pokemon introduced himself as Dune, a very simple name in comparison to the other two. ”Duuuuuune,” the Bewear repeated in his low, droning voice, quite liking the simplicity of the name and how smoothly it flowed.
When he proceeded to introduce himself to the new pair, Mogwai smiled at Chickpea’s excitement as the Chikorita exclaimed that it was ‘so super cool’ and that he’d ‘never met a knight before’. ”Yeeeeees! Iiiiis sooooo cooooool!” the Bewear agreed wholeheartedly, bouncing up and down eagerly on his paws. He admittedly quite liked the admiration, it felt good to know that he could be the kind of Pokemon that others could look up to even though he’d hardly consider himself as ‘role model material’. Daphnes introduced himself as well when asked by Chickpea if he was a knight too, the Bagon striking a knightly pose alongside Mogwai much to the Bewear’s joy. When he proceeded to ask Chickpea if he needed any help, the Chikorita seemed thoughtful and maybe a little confused before asking if he and Dune could join up with them. ”Yeeeees! Mooooore fuuuureeeeeends aaaaaalwaaaays goooood!” the Bewear cheered, more than happy to accept additional company, the more the merrier! ”Duuuuune aaaaaand Chiiiickpeeeeeaaaa beeee kniiiights toooo~” he added with a bright smile, nodding in agreement with Daphnes’s statement that knights could be adventurers as well. He definitely liked the idea of adding to their party of brave knights, venturing together through this dream world to protect everyone and to ultimately put an end to Darkrai’s dastardly schemes.
Mogwai turned to Daphnes once more as the Bagon held up his stick-sword, mentioning that Temperance had told him about weapons she had used to train with which all had different names. Mace, lance, and a bow to shoot arrows from, the names overall didn’t sound familiar at all to the Bewear as he hadn’t ever seen such weapons before, though he felt like he at least knew what an arrow might look like. ”Whaaaaat Siiiiire Daaaaaaphneeees thiiiiink Duuuuuune aaaaand Chiiiickpeeeeeaaaaa beeeee?” he inquired curiously, hoping to hear a bit more explanation about these weapons his partner had listed and what exactly they did. However, it seemed they would have to hold off on that particular discussion for now as a sudden chill wind swept through the cave from ahead of them.
The cold wind had little effect on Mogwai due to his thick fur, but the suddenness had definitely grabbed his attention as he followed suit with Daphnes and directed his attention towards the path ahead as the sudden sound of sinister snickering echoed all around them. The little pinpricks of light that the Bewear had noticed before turned out to be crystals, loads of them covering the walls, floor, and ceiling of the cavern, hardly a speck of grey rock or dirt could be seen underneath the glamor of the gems. And in the center of the enormous rocky room ahead of them stood the largest crystal that he had ever seen in his life, he had no idea they could even grow that huge! In awe of the sight, the bear just barely resisted the temptation to reach out and touch one of the plethora of multi-colored crystals around them, as pretty as they were something about this whole situation didn’t feel right… Mogwai narrowed his eyes and clenched a paw into a fist as he felt his fur starting to stand on end, sensing danger as he quickly scanned the area for any signs of a possibly hidden foe. Sure enough, a strange-looking creature made its presence known to the group as it suddenly materialized in front of them, hissing and baring its claws at them while its gemstone eyes glistening with a menacing light. The Bewear had not seen anything like it before, but based on its body language it was clear that this thing was an enemy.
Daphnes led the charge as he dashed with surprising speed towards the ghostly creature, swinging his stick forth like a sword as he launched himself right it like a torpedo. Though the swing with the stick-sword outright missed the gem-eyed creature, the Bagon’s body slammed home into it and knocked it down onto the ground as the momentum carried the dragon back towards the group. Growling deeply as he glared hard at the ghost, Mogwai wasted no time charging right for it just as it clambered to its feet with an annoyed hiss and made to run right at them. ”Siiiiire Daaaaaaphneeeees! Mooooogwaaaaiiii prooooteeeeect!” the Bewear roared, moving to stand between the Sableye and his companions and swung a fist infused with chilling energy right at it once it came into range. The heavy blow connected point blank with the ghost’s face, sending it back a good few feet or so with a shriek. The gem-eyed thing dug its claws into the ground to keep itself stable, its form now covered with miniature icicles as it managed to haggardly stand up once more. Mogwai blinked in slight confusion, briefly wondering where on earth that had even come from because he was certain he didn’t know a move like that before. Of course, there was hardly time to think on that now, it seemed this ghost was made of much tougher stuff than the Drifloon had been as it was dashing back towards the group once more. The Bewear snarled and stood statuesque as he stared it down and readied another attack once it got close enough, determined to not let it harm his companions if he had anything to say about it.】☆ ☆

How did I come here? Mystery Dungeon Another lost soul? Xiao Lan, Beltigre, Shade, and Daiki
☆ ☆【Fianna smiled warmly as in spite of not really understanding Daiki’s joke, Xiao Lan was still persistent on braiding his hair which the Zoroark was happy to agree too. Of course, the fox wasn’t entirely sure of the logistics of how a bat would be able to braid hair given that she didn’t have a lot to work with in the way of hands… but still, that could be interesting to watch. And if needed, the Braixen would be happy to lend a hand as well. A soft laugh left her lips as she noted the goofy grin on Daiki’s face in response to her statement, it was admittedly a very nice expression to see on him. Slightly rocky first impression aside, Fianna felt that she was starting to see Daiki more and more as a good friend the longer they spent together. His mannerisms, aside from the flirting of course, very much reminded her of Klaus, which was hardly a bad thing as far as she was concerned. She wondered if perhaps the green-haired Zoroark thought the same too, though now was hardly the time to really think about it as Shade rejoined them.
With the decision to keep pushing onward in lieu of their leader Beltigre, Fianna walked ahead while making sure to stay relatively close to the group, lighting the way with her torch as Shade provided a bit of light of its own as the symbols on its body glowed. Occasionally the Braixen glanced back over her shoulder in anticipation of seeing Beltigre coming up through the tunnel to join them, sighing softly when no such thing happened. She sincerely hoped the Torracat was doing well for herself wherever she may be as of right now… and that they would be able to see her again sooner rather than later. The fire fox tried her hardest to see through as much of the darkness ahead beyond what her fire was able to reveal, though her ears perked up a bit as she heard Xiao Lan trying to whisper while she followed along with Shade’s example in an attempt to be stealthy. Well, if stealthy actually meant making as much noise as possible, at least. Fianna smirked and softly chuckled under her breath, though her momentary amusement was gone as quickly as it had come as she picked up the sounds of eerie laughter from up ahead of them. Where it was coming from, however, was hard to tell as the echo of the cave made it sound like the chuckles were coming from all around, as if the tunnel itself was laughing at them.
Eventually the dull gray rock of the cave gave way to a path covered all over with glittering crystals, the firelight catching them just right as they sparkled seductively. Beautiful as it was, the sight made Fianna feel very on edge as the laughter from before sounded much closer now… it felt like they were walking right into a giant trap more than anything else. She hummed quietly and nodded in agreement as Daiki advised them to try and stick together, gazing up ahead as the crystal-covered tunnel gave way to a huge room filled with more of them. What drew her attention the most, however, was the enormous crystal that stood tall in the center like a crown jewel… It was the most beautiful of all, and dwarfed the many other smaller crystals by miles… All the more reason to be careful, then, the Braixen was getting a sinking feeling that they weren’t that much further from the next guardian they’d need to defeat before moving forward. Just as Fianna warned the rest of the group to not touch anything, to her shock and horror Xiao Lan was already zipping forward with a gleeful squeal over the pretty rocks, disregarding any sense of caution as she immediately grabbed at a crystal. ”Xiao Lan! Wait!” the fox shouted in alarm, making a mad dash after her with torch in hand in hopes to get to her before something bad happened. However, she was much too late, and the moment the Noibat’s claws gripped onto the gem she was instantly surrounded by glittering eyes and sharp-toothed smiles. The shadowy creatures hissed as they approached the cowering bat with claws outstretched even as she pleaded, clearly none too pleased at this tiny intruder trying to steal from their precious crystal horde. How dare she transgress upon their territory and even attempt to purloin their treasures, the very nerve!
Snarling fiercely as her older sister instincts instantly kicked in, Fianna made a bounding leap as she approached where Xiao Lan was trapped. Landing in the center and blocking off the grabby hands from reaching the little bat, the Braixen viciously swung her flaming branch-wand all around at the creatures in retaliation. ”Don’t you dare touch her!” she roared, glowering as the figures immediately backed off from the sudden bright light being shoved in their faces with snarls of agitation. The firelight caught onto gleaming gemstone eyes and ghastly purple skin, revealing the marauding creatures to be Sableye of all things. ”Hmph… Should’ve figured as much,” she murmured, standing tall between the gaggle of ghosts and the Noibat she was defending. Of course, Sableye in a crystal cave should’ve been as obvious as trees in a forest, not that Fianna had time to reprimand herself for not realizing it sooner. While most of the gang of Sableye who had tried to attack Xiao Lan backed off the moment the Braixen jumped in to protect her, one of them was particularly persistent as it shielded its eyes from the light and advanced closer. ”Back off!” the fire fox snarled, not hesitating even a moment as she brought her free hand around, the fist crackling with volatile energy, and unleashed a Thunder Punch point blank at its face.
The Sableye screamed as it staggered back, clutching its face as it shook away the lingering energy that stung at it from the electric power of the blow. ”That’s your only warning… Back off or it’s going to get ugly real quick,” Fianna growled as she stared the ghost down, the long fur of her ears standing on end in an attempt to make herself look bigger and intimidate it. However, as the Sableye recovered from the attack, its glittering gem eyes stared hard at the crystal still clutched in Xiao Lan’s claws. No way was it going to let her have it if it could be helped. Snarling warningly at the Braixen in front of it, the ghost began predatorily stalking around the pair, trying to look for an opening to slip past the protective fox and snatch the gem away from the Noibat. ”Wrong choice, rocks-for-brains… Team Fluff and/or Beltigre to us!” she called, holding her flaming stick high to rally the others into battle while she kept a close eye on the stalking Sableye. If it tried to get close to them again it was going to get another shocking knuckle sandwich right to the jaw, even if it just wanted the crystal there was absolutely no way she was going to let it hurt Xiao Lan no matter what.】☆ ☆

Once Ammy had landed firmly on her back, Gail pushed up, helping launch the lupup at their opponent. She immediately darted off as she did, rounding to watch as Ammy launched a flamethrower after being shaken off by the sableye. Gail's eyes darted over the situation, before she ran forward, bumping into the ghost pokemon as it tried to swipe at her teammate. She then ducked low, swinging her body at the back of its legs as she darted by, swiping its feet out from under it, and knocking it flat on it's back to create another opening for Ammy. She was much better at this defensive stuff, but if she needed, she knew she may have to attack, too.

This guardian was uh... really not inclined to go down. "Dice!" Cling called, swinging around to try and slip behind the Sableye as it attempted to jump on him. It slipped into the shadows and immediately reappeared in front of him, once again blocking his view. The klow grimaced, leaning back slightly, and readying his tail for another iron attack. "Are you okay!?" He could hear the little tot fighting in the distance, and lashed out at his opponent. How much longer this would take, he wasn't sure, but he hoped soon. And next time, he was doing a better job at keeping up with the ground pokemon. No more running ahead.

Shade wasn't entirely sure if his telepathic message got through, as they didn't quite attempt a true connection with XIao Lan, but it seemed as if it did, and that brought a very faint smile, and relaxedness to the chengshen's demeanor. It wasn't exactly common for pokemon without psychic tendencies of their own, to be so open and receptive to something so seemingly foreign. Then again, perhaps Xiao Lan did have telepathic abilities Shade wasn't aware of, or maybe there were similar experiences in her past. Either way, the chengshen appreciated the ease of familiar communication, and set focus to ahead.
Unfortunately, the message, as well as Fianna's warnings, didn't seem to quite stick. Shade's demeanor hardened back up as Xiao Lan ran forward, and their gaze sharpened beyond the bat as shapes emerged from around them. Sableye... not a pokemon Shade was particularly familiar with, but they weren't the sort that gave off a very friendly demeanor, either. Likely the guardians of this floor, which meant, at the very least, they were more of a defense, than anything. Oddly, Fianna's reaction caused Shade to pause, and watch, and for a moment, their weight shifted back, and their eyes closed. As they opened, the energy again began drifting from their runes, and they moved forward, shadows seeping in around them, before launching like arrows at the sableye that had already been attacked.
As Shade swept up, their mind focused, and much like the bobbles and bubbles that had been summoned by their teammates earlier, pieces of armor, very similar to theirs, appeared on Xiao Lan. "Please, stay calm," they murmured quietly to Fianna, "We are in control of this situation." They might have been foreigners here, but as far as Shade saw it, they were the ones who could bend things with their mind, and they were also the ones who had encroached into this space. And they had, technically, tried to take something that was not theirs. While protecting one another was a priority, the danger did not seem... all too overwhelming in the chengshen's mind. And it was better to keep a clear head.
