As soon as her mother came in he used the shirt to cover himself. When she mentioned interrupting their fun time he blushed. He also wanted to know what this news was so quickly he put on his shirt and waited for her to tell them what it was.

Soon enough her Mother was talking about the civil war that was going to take place. And if they didn't leave, they'd face a slow death. Yet she knew of the potions they had got. "When she drinks that potion, it'll change her race.. And she'll be in between one to two days."

Kona sat between her Mother and Grim. Only to try to ignore how nervous she was becoming.

His face turn serious when she mentioned the civil war. He was surprised to hear what the potion would do to her. Though he did understand the need for it and why she would be out of it for a couple of days.

"Grim, take care of her. And give her a good life. Kona my baby girl, please let my grandchildren know of me.", she said. Only for Kona to gasp and start crying as she hugged her Mother.

He dropped his head knowing what her mother was implying. He hate to think how she must be felling having to say goodbye to her mother. The women who took care of her and loved her. Not wanting to ruin the moment with his presence he started to get up off the couch to go pack.

Both women cried but it was Kona's muffled cries into her Mother's shoulders that was heard. As her Mother was only blinking tears, but sorrow and regret was shown in her eyes. "Grim, join us after you finish packing. She'll need her rock after I leave.", her Mother said, as if reading his mind.

When he was packing he would hear her and Kona kind of talk yet sobbing. Part of it was asking how long they had been together. Which Kona tried to answer but she was still mostly crying. When Grim came back her Mother waved him over, to join the hug.

He nodded his head when she said to join them after packing. All while he was packing he hated hearing her crying and not being able to do much about it. When he came back and she waved him over to join the hug he did. Still a bit awkwardly since the only person he has ever hug was Kona he never was in a group hug. But he did his best and hugged her so she was in between him and her mother.

After a good ten minutes or so Kona and Gretchen pulled back from the hug. "I'll led you out of here. And I have your bag Kona.", her Mother said. Now Kona nodded and hugged her back. Next thing she and Grim knew they were sneaking out through a way even Kona didn't know about.

He followed right behind them in the back. He trusted her mother to lead them out safely but wanted to make sure they weren't followed. He did not know if the king order that his wife be followed so just to be sure would check. Old habits die hard but he was glad that the skills he has learned have never been forgotten.

Once they were in the entrance of an old tunnel they hugged one last time.
"Good bye, Kona, my love. And good bye Grim. I think you would of made a good son-in-law.", she said before hugging him. With instructions of how to leave given to Grim. She closed the hidden door.

Kona had stopped crying by now and walked with Grim. As her Mother had given them candle lanterns. Of course this passage way was barely tall enough for Grim. And filled with spider webs.

He hugged her back and listened to the instructions she gave. When the door closed he turned to the entrance. " Lets go." And began there long journey through the passage way.

He lead them through the passage way following the instructions she gave him. Every once in a while he would look back to check on her to see if she was okay. The small space did not bother him. But the webs did get annoying after a little while. " We are doing great just a little more." He said trying to make her feel at least a little better.

As they walked she didn't say much of anything. She was in a bit of shock. Only to control her breathing and try to not to run into him."
Okay...", she muttered. Of course she was not going to be sassy or bossy right now. Her world was being pulled out from under her feet. But also to protect her from being harmed.

He continued to have them walk for a while until he turned around to look to her." Do you want to sit and rest for a little bit or do you think you can keep going?" He had a feeling she was barely hanging on and that anything could completely break her at this point. So he tried to be as caring a possible and not try to rush her or make her do anything she did not want to.

She looked up at him and blinked a couple of times. Before shrugging,"Rest maybe...
", she said, as she readjusted her bag. Of course he'd see that she was in pain, emotionally. As she ignored the pain in her feet.

Nodding his head he slowly took the bag from her. " Okay. Sit and rest for a little while then. We will continue whenever you are ready." He stayed standing as she sat and was keeping watch behind them still wanting to make sure they weren't followed by anyone.
