Questioning, not for the last time, why he'd come to this strange land-dweller function, Fresco struggled to move about while continuing not to touch anything. Ugh...land. Why hadn't he stayed down below in the waters where everything was clean and not so...dry?
Even if it was just his feet on the ground, every contact with something on the surface made him feel as if his scales were dry and covered with some sort of unseen dust or film, making his skin crawl. How did they cope with this? For whatever reason he might have thought this a good idea to begin with, now all he could think was what a relief it would be to get back to the lake. Course, there were those water tanks...he supposed that if it really got bad enough, he could retreat to one of those. Even if they were water tanks...on the land. Supposed that was good enough for a temporary measure at least.
He was too distracted with trying to figure out how to get a cup of punch without touching the ladle OR the cup itself to see what had happened when he felt a sudden sharp pain...and then had a couple of new obstacles in his way of seeing what he was doing. Blinking in confusion, he gave up on the punch puzzle, now forgotten, to stare at the two new mounds on his chest. He poked at one experimentally before a flash of teal out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. There stood a beautiful...what were those land creatures called?...Faun? He had just started to stare and forget that his hands were now cupped over his chest when he felt another sharp p***k to his backside.
"Eep! Okay, that can stop anytime now!" he snapped, noting suddenly that his voice seemed a bit...higher than he was used to. An effect of being on the land? He hadn't talked to himself much on the way here, but he was pretty sure this was a more recent change. He hadn't noticed the second teal Faun-thing until she addressed him directly. Woah, this one had wings instead of that pointy thing on her head. She didn't look half bad either...
Grinning, he could only assume he had a 'type' that he hadn't been aware of....teal-colored Faun-things. Interesting. In response to her comment, he/she just chuckled and sent back, "Hey, not so bad yourself, lady. They are pretty handy though. Maybe if you had some gills of your own, you could come on over and see me some time."

Glancing aside at her quiet companion, Moana reached up with her free hand to take his arm with a smile. She wasn't quite sure if something was wrong...or if she was just reading too much into things. Maybe he was just nervous. Granted, she was a bit nervous herself. She didn't see any sign of anything odd happening this year just yet, nothing dangerous...of course, she may have also been a little anxious for other reasons. Maybe.
She released his arm just long enough when they reached the gift table so that she could carefully set the beautiful conch down safely. She hoped that the gift would be good enough...there wasn't exactly a lot of other options she'd had on-hand in the lake. Still, it was very pretty, she thought, and who didn't like pretty things?
Her present given, she returned to Terran's side, taking his arm as she looked around the rest of the party. "Well, what would you like to do first?" The water tanks were present again this year, she was relieved to note, even if technically, she'd probably be fine with the assistance of the enchanted shell at her side. It seemed almost ornamental, but other Naiad at least would have recognized it for what it was. She should have been okay for a short trip like this with its help, but best not to rely on just that if other water were available. Just to be safe, if something unexpected happened.
Expect the unexpected; she'd learned that much.
Still, there was dancing, food, drink...even if she wasn't eager to go make a fool of herself, if her friend wanted to dance, she'd oblige him. It'd be fine, right, as long as he was there too. Besides, she had his promise that if she made a fool of herself on the land, she could drag him to the water to do the same. Giggling at the thought, she leaned on his arm. "So? Dancing or refreshments?"

Alister kept his hand near his heart, trying to physically show how deeply his love for her ached! ... Even if it was very strange to be setting that hand close to his heart on something that was notably softer than he was used to. His love for Poliahu was much stronger than any pair of soft things on his chest felt strange, though!
"It is I, Alister, who should be your lover eternal!"
The spark in his eye showed that he was going to take no arguments, and the passion in his voice showed that he loved her as much as he declared! Surely, she could not reject his dramatic declarations of love eternal!
"Can't you see, Poliahu? We are meant to be! I do not care if you are woman or man, for I have loved you as both!"
Oh, that was a deep mark. He knew that was a good one.
Yeah.

"Very beautiful," Terran commented as she returned to his side, he had watched her put the shell present on the table. They just didn't have pretty things like that in the tree.
As Moana asked him what he would like to do first, Terran looked at the variety of activities: the food, the drinks, the dancing, the... arm wrestling? He'd have to test his might out on that later, but right now he wanted to give Moana his complete attention. "Hmm..." he said thoughtfully. In truth, the dancing sounded more fun then just hanging around the snack table, but he wasn't sure how she would feel about that. They had just walked all this way.
Then she even suggested dancing. "Well, if you're ready to try out your dancing legs?" He looked at her thoughtfully. "Although, I would understand if you were tired from the walk, we could rest on one of these benches and enjoy a treat first?" Terran offered as an alternative.

Oh no.
No.
Lisandru could feel that shout across the room. He felt the presence in his bones, like he had suddenly been dumped in ice and left there to freeze. Those wings, he knew anywhere. That insane string of words that was his name, he knew even more.
Prisma.
Like a deer caught in lights, Lisandru turned around and stared in the direction of the voice--and therefore Prisma and that very pretty Seduction Goddess--eyes wide and mouth slack. What was he supposed to do now?! He was spotted. This was all Alister's fault. When he got home, he was going to put poison in Alister's garden or something. Yeah! That'd show him for dragging Lisandru outside!
Did Alister even have a garden?
Voluptas had to agree with Prisma in that she was very much worth showing off, and so, she puffed her chest out a little and popped her back out a bit, trying to look as seductive as possible. Considering she was the Goddess of Seduction herself, it was probably working.
Perhaps that was why the mortal Prisma was beckoning was so slack-jawed!
She blew a kiss over in Lisandru's direction just to see how he reacted.
The poor shetani froze up.
After a few moments, he shouted back, "I DON'T SEE ANY LISANDRUS HERE!" Yeah, that'd work.

Criofan made a small, distressed sound at Ei-Kal trying to pull him away from all the shiny things. He wanted more. No, he needed more. It was an uncontrollable impulse, Criofan reaching out to grab something else random off the top of the pile, despite Ei-Kal's urgings otherwise. It didn't even matter what he had grabbed! There was so much.
He had to have all of it.
The additional, close, murmured urging from Ei-Kal made Criofan drop what he was holding, though, the item fall with an unceremonious plopping sound. He looked over his shoulder at the true treasure in the room, and made a soft sigh of defeat.
"Fine."
Ei-Kal would still have to physically drag Criofan out of the area, though, the leprechaun faerie rooted to the ground, staring wistfully at all the things he could possess. This Goddess of Love didn't need any of this! A sculpture of herself made out of ice? Two swans? She very clearly already had everything she ever needed if these were the kinds of things she was receiving as gifts. He would be doing her a service! She'd have less to keep track of!
It would be a disservice for him to not take something, and his fingers reached forward like he was about to--
Perhaps Ei-Kal should distract him.
========
Zaria just heard her brother laugh! She nearly squealed at the sound, stopping her dancing for a moment to hug him with a vice grip before resuming her dancing enthusiastically...
That was, until she heard Phaenman's issued challenge!
"Kheli!" She suddenly stopped her dancing dead, swirling around to look in him in the eyes. Her own eyes were probably just a bit too wide. "We should accept her challenge! It'll be fun! Please?"
Her wings fluttered and she bounced in her spot, hopping her brother would agree to challenging the god.
