Original (Two things came to mind. Alto from Macross Frontier, and alto the Spanish word for stop. I could not think of anything relevant to either that started with O.)

Lineage {Alto also refers to a certain range of notes. In choral music, it is the lowest female voice group, more properly known as contralto. There are also instruments made to best play this range such as alto sax}
