*giving up on his buttons for now, he reluctantly meets Tes' gaze. He begins to speak a few times, but stops... not really sure just how to state what he means. After a few moments of sitting in silence and thinking on the subject, he manages to get his thoughts sorted a bit, to a point he hopes would be clear*
... any two people can have sex. Prostitutes have sex. Casual acquaintances have sex. Those in short lived relationships have sex. It....*starts to look away again, but is followed by Tes. Sighing, he straightens his head again and continues* ... it is only when two people truely care for one another that they make love. I.... I want that to be the case for us...

It just always seemed that I felt at least in some sense all along that our marriage was final. I haven't been with anyone since we married and I don't plan on being with anyone else. I don't need to "make love" to feel that way because I already do.

*blushes and holds Tes' hand tighter against his chest so that he can feel how much he makes his heart race. After lingering in the kiss for a short while, he pulls away intoxicated by his feelings for Tes. At a loss for words, he simply stands, pulling Tes up with him, and guides him to the office. As Tes volunteers to do the security scans, he smiles a bit, although the passage likely would have been opened faster if he had done it himself. The two of them make their way down the stairs, into their quarters, and to the bedroom to relax for a while and eventually rest*
