I had posted on FB that it's been 11 years since the first con I attended and one of my animal shelter friends had left a comment "You should post it on Threads too!"
And now I'm just subconsciously going "Why did you want me to post about it there?" neutral Like... Threads isn't specifically a sewing crafters social site. It was created in response to the chaos surrounding Twitter/X. Not to mention... I don't really use my Threads account as strictly a cosplayer thing. That's what my IG is - mostly cosplay but occasionally posts about other craft projects I've done.

Not to mention, I don't think she even follows my IG or Threads accounts. So, it's even more strange she would say that.

I had made a post on Threads about being sad about Dead Boy Detectives cancellation and someone replied with "Do you even know how the film industry works? It was cancelled because it didn't make money!" It was very condescending how they wrote it. I responded that between working at a movie theater for 6 years, taken TV/film classes in college, and having friends in the film industry, I was very familiar to how it worked.
And then they responded to that of "There's no need to cry about a show being cancelled." I couldn't leave it at that, so I was like "If you don't want to get emotionally attached to media, that's your choice. But don't go insulting other people for expressing their feelings."
Looking at the posts they've made on their own pages. They are definitely a troll of sorts. Nothing but negativity.
Here's to hoping they just leave things be, otherwise I'll have my first person to block.

So many residents being negative this morning. I'm already ready to go back home. There's only so much of it you can take, especially when a resident is having a conversation with you and it's all "I hate this. I hate that." So on and so forth...

It's hard too when it's a resident you're still trying to get a feel for. She's so crude and opinionated when she talks, even when she seems to be in a good mood, so you're just constantly on edge wondering if you're going to be yelled at or not.

Tomorrow's Labor Day, so I don't have much to do work wise with no appointments to worry about.

Hmm... interesting. I'm able to see the song lyrics on Spotify again. Doesn't seem to be behind the pay wall like they did for awhile. Either it's a fluke... or Spotify quietly retracked their decision of locking them behind the pay wall.

Trying to remember... but was there even a summer event here on Gaia this year? I don't recall there being one. The last event I remember going on was the Easter one. neutral

I'm glad the residents were behaving while doing the popcorn today. Didn't have anyone give me attitude with how I ran things. And no one coming after the fact asking for popcorn when it's been weeks now that we've had it going at 1:00 instead of 2:00.
