My favorite christmas one's been when Tenant was introduced, I guess this one was ok for a quick (well, 2 hr) laugh. Can't wait 'til Piper comes back.

My boyfriend is right, the Christmas special really IS aimed at children, the cheesy lines and the music, bring on the proper series!

It's all aimed at children.

If they try purposely to aim it at adults we get Torchwood.

It was just ripping the piss out of a load of other films. But then you don't want anything to heavy at christmas anyway.

I didn't think it was too bad. It had some nice little geeky references in, and I liked the homage to Robots of Death.

I can't say I've laughed as much as I did with this years Christmas special. I really enjoyed it. XD

I enjoyed Kylie's character grabbing the box to kiss the Doctor.

That's what sealed her fate, the Doctor's got cursed lips.

Well we've had the precursor to the Catherine Tate as companion. It's like Bonnie Langford has risen from the grave. eek

Looking forward to a hopefully less sexed up Torchwood on the 16th!

Meh.

I don't really care about Torchwood.

And Russel T Davies and I are not on speaking terms.

Less sexed up? With Captain Jack in there?

iirc, Jack's the only one who didn't get any on screen last year.

Disturbingly, Owen the rapist got quite a lot.

Yeah, that did seem a little odd.

Well, having seen the Torchwood episode it was - okay.

Good in parts (mostly involving James Marsters). However, the Captain Jack sex thing - yes, Russell T Davies, we get it. Stop smacking us over the head with it. Yes, it's very post-modern and cheeky, but Doctor-Who-meets-a-modern-Carry-On-Film is not an edgy, adult version of Doctor Who.

If he'd concentrate on the plot a bit more (and maybe a little more polishing on the dialogue, which was a bit clunky in places), then it would be better.
