Prince Tousa of Darinest

Tousa was removing the saddles from the horses and setting them on a low hanging branch when Anja let out the growl. He kicked the spear up from its stabbed place in the ground and spun it around as he turned to face her with a lowered and wide stance. Then, when he registered it was her he shook his head and stabbed the spear back into the ground. "Don't do that Anja. Thought you were a wild animal."

Then she came up and simply licked his face. For a moment he blinked and raised an eyebrow. Two could play at this game, and she was in the form of a wolf which was basically a dog. For some reason it made it easier to interact with her. He just reached to scratch behind her ears and in the most patronizing voice he could he spoke to her. "Such a good companion aren't you? Aren't you Anja? Whose a good wolfy? You are. That's right. You're my good wolfy."

Meanwhile his grin just grew wide with his evil intentions, that cruel glint in his eye coming back as he continued to scratch behind her ears.

Anja smiled as best she could. He didn't' think of her as a wild animal anymore. That's probably not how he mean it but she'll take it one way or another

He could say whatever he wanted, that scratching felt great. Anja eased into it full body. So much so that she knocked him over. She laid down on him, trapping him where he was. She put a paw on his head, it was almost the same size. She licked him again and for added effect, she wagged her tail

Tousa was bowled over very quickly and then crushed under her form with a grunt before a paw was placed over his face causing his next words to come out muffled and incoherent.

Once the lick came in he sputtered and coughed, his hand having stopped for the moment. "O-okay. You win..." He coughed again, moving to scratch at her chin. "U-up. Need to breath." He wheezed next, patting her back ever so slightly to try and get her to at the very least roll over.

Anja licked him once more, then got off of him. Serves him right, treating her like a dog. She transformed back into her human form, "So, I win huh?" she had the hugest smile on her face. She helped lift him off the ground then smacked his back, "Good try though." she left to go wander in the forest to collect fire wood

Tousa gave a huff as he wiped his face before he was helped up. "Just because you're so heavy. Could do with losing a few pounds I think." He then gave a cough as his back was slapped and a small growl curled out from his lips.

"Yeah. Good try indeed." He'd just poke her with the spear later. Probably in the small of her back. He turned to pet down the horses and get their camping gear out of their saddlebags, beginning to move to the center of the clearing with the two tents for them to sleep in. Nothing fancy, but it would provide a bit of shelter.

Anja took her time in the forest. She gathered only sticks and logs that had already fallen off of the trees. She felt like a free lycan again. She began to hum a tune as she came back to camp, placing the firewood in a nice pile. She dug a small hole for the fire and constructed the logs accordingly. ALl the while humming and smiling

Tousa glanced up as she came back all cheery and humming. "What has you happy Anja?" He asked as he began to unfurl the tents. He grabbed the wooden mallet and grabbed the structural supports.

He began to gently tap the supports into the ground, taking to the task rather well considering he was a prince. Probably just another part of when he was training to be the soldier he was. Then was some rope and pitons to make sure that the structural support for the first tent wouldn't fall over, and it was tied with efficiency and tightly.

"I'm happy. Why can't I be happy? Is this how you are when you're happy? Man, I'd hate to see you when your sad." ANja went about her task of creating fire. Once that was done, she took out some of the food supplies. She didn't mess with them beyond that. Terrible cook she was.

"Do we need to hunt?"

Tousa pointed the wooden mallet at Anja. "I never said I was happy right now. This is how I am when I'm doing my job. On duty remember? Besides, I was nearly killed by a fat wolf just a few moments ago." He waved the hammer in her general direction to emphasize the point of why he was 'on duty'

He then hit home a piton and moved to the next. "We've got rations to last us until we reach the first major town. We don't really need to worry about hunting. That being said if you want fresher meat then jerky, a few rabbits would fit us best... Skinny rabbits. We only have two mouths to feed." He had kept working, hammering as he looked away only to smash a finger.

He didn't say anything, instead just letting out a grunt as he lifted his hand and shook it. "Should've kept paying attention..." It looked like he wanted to say more than that but his tongue was held.

"You have a lot to be happy about, but not about that finger." she chuckled cause she heard the smack and grunt. She was impressed he didn't shout out more. Anja picked up a pail, "I'm going to try and find water." she took off in a direction, sniffing the air for the scent of water

Tousa looked at her with a flat face of annoyance. When she left to go get water her just quietly muttered to himself in frustration. "Says the lycan that isn't pitching the tents." He then cradled his finger for a moment and once he couldn't hear her anymore he continued the muttering. "******** gods above that hurt."

He then tossed the hammer aside once the first tent was pitched and just laid back, closing his eyes for a moment as he just relaxed. Tousa had been stressed all day for the fact that maybe he was going to be ambushed by Anja's next of kin... And it could still happen if he was not careful.

Anja was still within ear shot when he said that and she had to laugh. She was sure it was this way, the water. She sniffed and changed directions. A few minutes later, she came across a river.

Anja smiled, eyeing some fish in the stream. She filled the bucket up with fresh, cool water and set it aside on the bank. Anja got into the water to try and catch some fish.

Tousa just laid there now in the silence, long hair draped around him. He reached and loosened up his tight clothing so as to let it breath a bit and just covered his eyes with an arm. He got one tent pitched, no need to bother with the other. If she wanted a tent she could do it.

Instead he just enjoyed the fact that it was slightly warm, that no one else was around and that he could just find some time to himself. He wasn't going to practice today, nor was he going to worry about his duties as a prince who had just left his position of command or the fact that people needed to receive orders form him in order to move where the army was appropriately. Or the fact that now that he was out of the picture it was left to his father who would now lag behind the reports.

One eye opened. s**t. He realized what he had done now that he was two days away from where he was supposed to be. He knew that now Anja was here she wasn't going to want to go back to that fort with the men... Maybe once he was in the next major town he could find a way to send orders appropriately from one place to the next so things weren't to disrupted.

If that was the case he would be sending a one way channel which meant he was going to have to find a way to figure out logistics without input and month old information. Loose orders that could be delivered given the situation. Tousa would also need to find someone willing to deliver said information without causing a fuss.

Anja pulled out her bow and arrow while standing in the water. She aimed and fired it at a fish, nailing it on the head. She went over and pulled it out and threw it on the bank. She did this a few more times until she was happy with the portions. Once out of the water, she strung them up by t heir gills and attached that to a makeshift pole she created from a large branch.

Anja picked up the bucket and fish and headed back to the campsite. She got back at a good time. He was actually lounging around instead of working out. Must be a first for him because he was all twitchy. She called out to him, "Hey there partner. Look what I caught." she proudly showed him her catch as she walked up to him, only seeing one tent. That was okay, she would sleep in her wolf form tonight, or cuddle really close with Tousa, not that he would like it

Tousa looked up and over to her. "First, not your partner. Second, you caught a few fish with arrows? How did you manage that?" He rolled over and then sat up a look that was quizzical appearing and then one that gave the look that she was pulling his chain again so to speak.

Meanwhile the only thing running in his head was his worry about the current situation of the kingdom and its military, trying to figure out how he was going to fix the problem he had just made.
